No hex shaft on this one. The bracket screwed on the side wall has a long “tab” that a slot on the arm engages when slid over it. The tabs were bent when the roll of fabric rotated over the slide flange. These are after pictures.
Greetings all. On my 28brs I had a Dometic slide topper installed on our slide out. On our first trip we noticed a bump and the slide tilted down when viewed from inside, when extending. Looking at it from outside I saw the roller tube had rolled over the slide flange and was now on top of the...
I feel your pain. My ‘13 had a leak at the seam between the roof and the front cap within two years from new. I had to get a new roof when the TPO came unglued and separated. Caused a copious leak when we were 1600 miles from home. Makes ya mad, doesn’t it?
I have had a slide out leak for some time with water dripping from the front inside corner of the frame. I found that the very thin line of caulk applied to the outside top edge of the lower flange had cracked. I poured water on it and the water immediately ran out of the bottom, inside of the...
Greetings all. I had maintenance done on my slidout last October by a shop recommended in these forums. They replaced the Eternabond tape on top and did some caulking around windows etc. Now the slide is leaking at the forward interior corner of the frame when the slide is out. Doesn’t seem...
Did you heat the tape to remove it? Also, how did you clean where the tape was? There must have been residual glue to remove.
Thanks for your help, Ray

Thanks. Ripon is about 54 miles away. If it was a bigger job I would consider that. Still might if I can’t repair...
Hi all. On my 2013 North Trail 28brs’s slide out roof the sealing tape is coming loose. I suppose the only fix would be to remove and replace it. If so, if you have experience doing this job please post how you did it. The local rv repair shop does not know what Eternabond is!
Thanks, Ray
Thanks for that. I looked on their web site and now I remember the problem: My step brackets are only 25.25” apart. The Torklift site lists their steps will fit brackets that are at least 25.5” apart. I emailed them and their response was:
”Thank you for contacting us with your concerns. I...
Update: I had the springs replaced with “1750 Lb.” four leaf springs. The shop said the original springs were 3 leaf and were flat (no arch). The new ones definitely have an arch and raised the trailer about 2 inches. I had previously had this same shop flip the axles, so now the trailer is...
Re: 2013 North Trail 28brs Spring Upgrade
Thanks. I am planning to do all four even if I don’t upgrade the load rating. I think the upgrade is worth it if there is no significant downside to it.
Hi all. I have a broken leaf in my right rear spring and have scheduled a repair at the local trailer shop. I am wondering if I should have all of the springs upgraded to 5 leaf (2250 lb.) from the original 4 leaf (1750 lb.) springs. The original springs appear almost flat with little, if...
Inside of the wheel as in the part on the outside which faces the underside of the trailer? Or on the rim where you would have to remove the tire to see it?
