    Thermostat

E1 is a communication error code. Carefully take the thermostat off the wall. I say carefully because I was pulling one of my thermostats off the wall, it came loose and flew out of my hand and the wire connector ripped off the back. I had to buy a new thermostat. Anyway, you will find a cable...

    Dual regulator question

I like that suggestion Bill! Now I have a good reason to buy another tool, and I can show my wife your post to prove I need it. Seriously though, that is a good inexpensive way to start a leak check. sherman

    Leaking Toilet

I agree 1000%. A shutoff doesn’t cost that much or take that much time. It will make repairs in the future so much easier. I have installed shutoffs in other locations also that make things easier, like underneath faucets. Great reminder guys! sherman

    Dual regulator question

To understand how the regulator is supposed to function go to the Heartland User Guides and read the pages on propane. https://manuals.heartlandowners.org/?man=Propane If you want to get more information about the propane systems in an RV you can go to YouTube and see some good videos. Be a...

    Leaking Toilet

We also had leaks on both of our toilets in the first year. I thought it was at the base also but after closer inspection discovered other problems. On the Dometic the water valve was leaking. On the Thetford the vacuum breaker at the back of the toilet was leaking. (I think they called it a...

    SumoSprings

I have purchased several items for my truck and RV from etrailer.com. They carry some great quality products and they have good pricing on most all things they sell. They also have great customer service. I had a couple orders where there was a problem and they took care of it quickly. My one...

    Tank vent covers

Sorry for being out of touch for awhile, but we have been in campgrounds with no wifi, or very very very slow. There have been other issues, but no need to go into that. I was up on the roof for something else, I don't remember what at the moment, but i finally remembered to take up some...

    SumoSprings

I was talking to a neighbor in a campground where we were staying and he said he installed SumoSprings on his 5th wheel. I don't remember the RV make or model, but similar in size and weight to ours. He said that the trailer is much more stable than before. Does anybody here have any...

    Tank vent covers

I should elucidate. The smell comes up when i flush as if the odors are not being pulled up the vent. I know it is common to get a little smell, but it seems a little extreme. Thank you for the suggestions Flick, those items could cause a stink, but they seem to be fine. I will give the 360...

    Tank vent covers

We occasionally get black tank smells in the 1/2 bath. After 2 1/2 years of hearing the DW complain that my toilet stinks i have decided that the vent is not working as well as it should. I want to replace the vent cover on the roof with something that draws the stinky out better. I am looking...

    Closet Flange

I had to replace the toilet flange on our front toilet about a month ago also. I found pretty much the same thing David did. I had previously tried a repair flange that slides into the pipe with a rubber seal and tightens down. That only lasted for a month and the toilet was wobbly again. The...

    Basement wall question

I have mostly finished the project. On the front wall I used the panel I removed to build a barrier around two sides of the pipes to protect them from objects sliding around during travel. I left one side open so i could slide items behind there that i do not need to access very often. This...

    Basement wall question

Just a quick update. I rebuilt the rear basement wall by doing the following: Cut it into 5 sections, Installed 2"x2"s on the floor and ceiling, Installed Velcro on the 2 bys. I plan on doing more in this area as i have time, but having the panels easy to remove to get to any section of that...

    Basement wall question

Jim, the pictures do help a lot, thank you! I do have a couple of questions. 1. There is a picture where you drilled a hole and filled it with silicone when you moved the leveling control panel. Was the hole to give space for the connector on the back of the panel? 2. You installed a cover...
