    Anderson Ultimate Fifth Wheel Hitch

Flipping the chains sounds like something I'll do on mine, since trying to crawl into the bed with the fiver on the hitch is at best difficult. I believe the way chains are attached is not an issue, its using "safety chains" is the legal issue, I believe that currently only Indiana and Texas...

    Anderson Ultimate Fifth Wheel Hitch

I've got a 2012 Ram 3500 Megacab dually and got between 11.3 and 12.2 hauling a 11K Greystone fiver on our last trip. The only thing done is the EGR delete, will soon delete the DPF, the newer ones don't have that stuff, just DEF, my truck also has 150K miles on it. Just as an FYI, I spoke to...

Procrastination = exploding tire and some RV damage

I had one of the rear Towmaxx tires blow out last week while going thru St. Louis, the tread separated completely from the side walls and there was a hole in the tread carcass right in the middle that looked like a 50 cal. round had gone through it. Happened on I-70 West on the out skirts of...

    Anderson Ultimate Fifth Wheel Hitch

We just finished a 2800 mile trip using the Andersen and had no issues at all using it a Ram 3500 shortbed, dually, not even close to the cab on some pretty tight turns. Great hitch!!!

Anyone else having problems with RAM 3500?

Sounds like the notorious Dodge "Death Wobble" which is in part due to a solid front axle on the 4X4, and also due to poor front suspension design. I cured the issue on my old Dodge 2500 finally by putting on an oversize adjustable track bar and a steering box stabilzer, but not until I had...

    Intermittant hot water

In looking at the 5er yesterday and checking the valve positions, I don't think I had the valve which crosses from cold to hot behind the water heater turned cross wise to shut off the flow, I believe this is the bypass valve for winterizing, it was in line with the water line, not cross wise...

    Intermittant hot water

Yes the "electric W/H" switch was on and lit up the switch, when I turned it off with the propane tanks on, there was no fire to the heater, the furnace worked fine. I'll check the wire nut connections. Thanks.

    What about no propane ignition?

    Intermittant hot water

I checked the outside shower and made sure the valves were off and still had the issue. Thanks.

    Intermittant hot water

Took my Greystone out for a few days after the winter/spring cold and at the site we had only electric no city water supply. The water heater was turned on and I believe all the valves turned in the correct direction and we never got any steady hot water, hot faucet would be cold then lukewarm...
