    Replaced battery

I went to a direct industrial supplier of batteries to get the replacement and got a true industrial deep cycle battery to replace the factory battery. There really wasn't any "damage" in the compartment area from the exploded battery. It was all contained in the battery box. The tech there...

2013 Ram 2500 HD Cummins issue

About the only thing it can be is a stuck injector. Should be an easy fix I for a dealer. I had a toyota 4 runner with a very similar problem. I had to pull the intake manifold and watch the injectors while I had someone turn the key to the on position. This charged the injectors and you could...

    Replaced battery

I replaced my 12 volt battery before my latest trip as the landing jacks would not work without me plugging in the 50 amp service. So I figured the battery was dead and I knew I needed it for proper service. I took the whole rig to the local battery dealer and let the kid there do the labor of...

    Adding a Generator

I think most people here will tell you the easiest thing to do would be to add a Honda or Yamaha 3000 watt generator. That will run everything you have quietly unless you have two AC units.

Towmax Garbage ! Another one bites the dust !!

Those cheapos I just bought are Chinese crap too. If I get two years out of them I will be happy. Only cost me $500 but if I could have gotten something better I would have. I just had to have something quick to keep the DW happy.

Towmax Garbage ! Another one bites the dust !!

Well I almost fell victim to the Tow Max tires too. Luckily I caught it time. I use my camper primarily during the winter months as a camping retreat and it usually gets 2 or 3 small trips per year around 300 miles each way. My tires were getting close to 4 years old so I was greasing up he...

What' Big Adventure do you have planned???

As we too are still in the work place our summer travels are limited but we will pull out July 4TH and spend a few days visiting my parents in Middle Georgia. We will then move on to Savannah and stay at Skidaway Island Sstate Park for a week. We will wrap up our Trip with three days at...

    Generator/Inverter needs

I have the Sundance 3300 RLB and mine came with the Carrier 15,000 BTU unit. I am sure yours was equipped with a 15,000 BTU unit too. I have the Honda EU3000 for a genny and I could not start my AC unit down here in Alabama at almost sea level. Every time I would try to start the AC it would...

RV gas grill quick connect USE with regular gas grill?

I have always wanted one of those too! I just got a plastic milk crate and place my 20 lbs cylinder in the milk crate and haul it in the back of the TV. The milk crate keeps it from sliding around or turning over. Why can't they make a cylinder with a square bottom?

Best A/C Unit For The Bedroom

I just added a Dometic Brisk Air II with a ductless interior unit. I like it a lot. Yes it is loud and the fan runs constantly. I'm ok with this arrangement as before I had a fan running all the time anyway trying to cool the bedroom. The one thing you might want to ask Heartland about is the...

    2nd AC

I have wondered about this installation myself and have thought that a wire fish could be run alongside the AC ducts where you pull a length of 12/2 Romex back to the fuse panel. You could pull vents along the way maybe to help steer the wire ? Maybe not ? I guess the toughest part is to run the...

RV gas grill quick connect USE with regular gas grill?

Sorry, I wasn't clear on that. I put the regulator back on the Weber Q grill and use the 20 lbs cylinder. Just remember to use a little Teflon tape on the threads when you changed out the parts.

Adding a second A.C. Unit to my Sundance

Thanks Mike I will check that. It was tough getting the units to bolt together. Larry, the unit does cool down the front bedroom nicely. My 5vr is about 37 feet long, I think, and the stock carrier unit just can't get the camper below 80 in the peak of summer. I ran the unit yesterday just for...
