Axle flip for my 2014 North Trail 28BRS, can i do it myself?

I should have updated my post. I did the axle-under-spring conversion and I wish I had done it 2 years ago. I also changed out the bushings and bolts to the brass bushings and wet bolts. (Wet bolts have zerk fittings so you can lube them) It took me about 8 hours doing the work by myself...

Axle flip for my 2014 North Trail 28BRS, can i do it myself?

We have a 2011 North Trail 28BRS and I plan on doing the same thing for the same reason. To back into the driveway, I have to stop, switch from the Blue Ox hitch to a standard ball and then back it in. The standard ball hitch with a 2" drop allows the back of the trailer to get "just" high...

    Spare tire

This is exactly what I did after dragging the tire one time backing into the driveway.

    pull out bike rack

I took an old swimming foam "noodle" and cut it to a length that covered the square pole. Then, I split it down the middle and wrapped it around the pole. To attach the bikes, I put the first one up against the pole/noodle combo and then took some of the excess noodle and rags to put between...

    favorite state park?

We have stayed at Chatfield, Cherry Creek, Mueller, Cheyenne Mountain, Pueblo Reservoir, John Martin Reservoir and 11 Mile Reservoir. Our favorite is Cheyenne Mountain. Great location, full hook-ups, great trails. Mueller is a great park, but doesn't have water or sewer hook-ups. Each of...

What is a good reliable tire gauge . . .

I bought the Slime digital gauge http://www.amazon.com/Slime-20071-Digital-Gague-Hose/dp/B003V9Y2II/ref=pd_sbs_sg_10 I needed to check the pressure of my airbags on my truck down to 5 PSI. It works and works well.

Maybe How Pump Should Be Installed.

I used your ideas from this thread along with some ideas from another forum and created a 2" "styrofoam sandwich" with luan that I mounted underneath the pump and wrapped pipe insulation around the hoses. The faucet in the bathroom is louder than the pump now. Great mod to do!

    digital thermostat

Bobby A, If you have to move the switch to make contact and make it work, then you either have a bad connection or corrosion preventing it from working correctly. The Hunter thermostat is actually a simple device that has a circuit board and plastic switches that engage plastic notches. There...

Shoddy workmanship with Coaxial Cable Wiring/Connectors

I was trying to diagnose a crappy signal while we were at a campsite within eyesight of the TV transmitter we were receiving from. When I touched the cable from the wall outlet to the television, the cable fell off of the end connector while it was still screwed to the wall. When I went to...

ATF: North Trail - 28BRS Kitchen Sink Drain Hose

I posted this in the Technical Discussion area, but that appeared to be a pretty dead area, so I will post it here, too. If any Mods need to modify anything, please do so. We have had our 28BRS for about 3 weeks now and have used it twice. When we took it out the first time, we noticed some...

    Got my 28BRS

Vermont_Blue, it sounds like the same time you went south, we went to Chatfield SP. We survived the windstorm on Saturday night and driving back to Colorado Springs on Sunday with 60MPH crosswinds. Let's just say it was a "lively" drive down I-25. ;)

Not So Estatic New North Trail Owner

Marge, interesting that you say those strips should have been removed at the factory. Our dealer told us that the strips were there to ensure the seal "flipped" to the appropriate direction and should NOT be removed. Now, I am wondering who is right. Please let us know how the leak test went.

From 80 degrees to snow in Colorado

We were camping at Chatfield just south of Denver over the weekend. You are right, it was beautiful on Saturday, but Saturday night, the wind was horrible! We didn't have any damage and left in the morning before the wind was too bad. But, driving from Denver to Colorado Springs was...

    Got my 28BRS

We picked up our 2011 North Trail 28BRS over a week ago and we got to use it this weekend. Loved it! We even went through a windstorm in Denver last night and it did just fine. Have I mentioned that we loved it?
