    Fresh Water Filling

hoefler, Those sliding doors make a big difference. We need to unlatch(use to be unscrew, mod to unlatch) our door to get to behind the UDC, unload part of the basement. Back to finding a valve that we can put in the UDC.

    Fresh Water Filling

hoefler, Have not been to HD yet. Is there a Pex connector for braided nylon hose? Do you have the valve in the UDC or does the baement access door need to come off each time you fill?

    Hair dryer question

I have never had a problem using my hairdryer in the trailer. yes, they run at 1660-1800 watts but i hae never blown a circuit with the hairdryer. Now, the kitchen appliances, that is a totally different story. We "run out of electricity" on a regular basis when making breakfast, I have learned...

RV Outlet and Heartland are not a good mix.

This sure doesn't sound like the RV Outlet in VA. I have never heard anything seriously bad about them. I wonder if there are multiple with the same name or the forum member just shortened the name.

    dexter and Heartland

We put Mor/ryde on our 2011 BH. We bought the BH knowing we would be putting the Mor/ryde on ASAP since it came with the Lippert axles and springs and that is all you read about on the forum at that time. We had Mor/ryde on our previous trailer and on our truck, never a problem and a smooth...

    My SECOND broken axle

When we ordered our trailer 2 years ago Heartland was still using Lippert and all you read about were problems with springs, axles, shocks etc. Our previous trailer had Mor/ryde and we just decided to put on Mor/ryde as part of our new trailer expense. Once you start having problems you lose...

Info on RV Outlet USA out of Boston Va

Several years ago we sent emails out to 4 different discounters to start getting info on our BH purchase. 3 were in VA, we live in Williamsburg and one was in TN. RV Outlet was one of our choices but they didn't respond to our 2nd email and hence we dropped them from the running. We bought ours...

    slides stop pulling in

This seems to be a continuing problem. I know we switched to an 80a breaker and it solved our problems. If the 80a breaker is what Lippert recommends why doesn't Heartland put in an 80a breaker?????

Drain Hose on Dometic Refer in 3055 Bighorn

We had ours replaced by our dealer in Feb/Mar 2011, took about 30 minutes and the entire refrigerator had to be removed and put back. Took the dealer 1-2 weeks to get the replacement kit. I found an old email to my dealer about this. It was on the Heartland Forum but I can no longer locate it...

traveling with our kitty for first time

We travel with 3 cats and the first day out they got under the bed, this wasn't possible in our other trailer. We now make sure they are out of the bedroom and close the bedroom door before bringing in the slides. This allows them the freedom of the trailer(if they are not sleeping) and we...

Considering either a BH 3585RL or BC 3450TS would like input :)

This not is in regard to generator selection if you don't get a built in. We just finished boondocking with 40 other rigs for 2 weeks. All the motorhomes were in 1 row, everything else in another row. We had about 15 "others". One day I was walking the row and noticed everyone had a Honda 2000i...

    Winter travel

We travel in the winter all the time. We have not had any problems with the tanks nor with the water lines however we have added light bulbs(incandescent) to the bottom of the trailer, under the lavatory and under the kitchen sink and a switch in the coach to turn them on. When we are in cold...

    Route 81 RV Campgrounds

If you don't have a Traile Life or a Woodall's book, get one ASAP. These will tell you about campgrounds in the various state. There are also many campgrounds that aren't listed(many aren't listing any more because of cost) that are very nice. We tend to not like campgrounds with a lot of...

    roasting a turkey

Instead of a pizza stone go to HD and buy some quarry tiles. Works well and I put them on the bottom of the oven. These even out the heat. I've done this or all our trailer ovens.

    Mice Advice

We are going to empty the basement when we are more permanent and put in a switch to turn the water pump on in the bathroom. We don't keep the pump on overnight and it gets to be a pest to turn it on at the control panel. We did this in a previous trailer and it works great. Just a minor luxury...

    Mice Advice

We just went through this exercise. Found mice in drawer below the refrigerator. Took drawer out and lots of wires and gaps. Went to HD, bought foam and steel wool plus a trap. Haven't had a problem since. They were also in our heating ducts. Not sure about how to solve the heating duct problem...

    Heartland your killing me!

Our dealer called us when the trailer came in and said he would call us after he did his PDI, took about a week, some of the time our scheduling problem. Trailer had zero problems when we picked it up. We discovered one on our first trip out. Other than I would never buy another Shurflo water...

    Water pump issue

We were on our 2nd Shurflo 5.7. Lasted less than a week. We called Shurflo and they said send in the label and they will send a new one. We will do that and keep it as a spare. We needed water(we are on the road). Stopped at a Camping World and bought a basic Flojet. No more fancy water pumps...

    Replacement for recliners

We discovered, by accident, that the recliners do not need to be lashed down. We have been on some pretty rough roads and there have been no problems. I do keep an eye on the slides as they go out.
  33. W

    Replacement for recliners

I would never "assume" that. That is why I say measure before getting ordering anything. The Pinnacle fit in our trailer and many others but mfg. change the dimension of trailers as they see fit.
  34. W

    Replacement for recliners

Just make sure you measure and compare sizes. Who knows, Lazyboy may have changed them for some reason.

    Replacement for recliners

We bought the Pinnacle model. It is a wall hugger recliner. Besides the slides we put on some handles high up on the back side so we could turn them easier.

    Replacement for recliners

We ended up buying 2 Lazy Boy recliners that fit in the back and we have enough space left for a table between them. We put sliders on the lazy Boys and they are now easy to move into position. We accidentally discovered that we don't need to strap them in when on the move. We have been on some...

Options Dicussed Here vs. Options Discussed at Dealer

My dealer had an additional list of non-published options he knew about. Also, I think the forum in some thread 1-2 years ago had a list going. Tires, axles, G614, extra coax lines, water tank heaters, Fantastic fan, bigger brakes, never-lube axles etc. are those I remember. I remember some...
