The breaker your friend is referring to is referenced in the attachments...
We’ll be at MBTP in a month. We spend several weeks there each fall
Then south to the Georgia rally and then back up to Briarcliffe RV resort until November

I cleaned the roof per Henry’s instructions which only removed dust and dirt buildup. It was still sticky following the cleaning I described above
I’m guessing if a pressure washer was utilized likely some of that sticky roof material could be removed but then you’re exposing the substrate...
Like Dave says. Our ‘17 Bighorn hasn’t a flat roof from cap to cap but several different planes. At each change the seam between each panel is evident
As long as the roof membrane isn’t compromised I agree it’s normal

We replaced the tri-fold couch and theater seating in our bighorn with residential furniture. Like said, the backs were removable and fit through the 28” door
Yes. Our bedroom slide wiper seals were shot both outside and inside. Outside ones were easy peasy once I had the set of picks remove the old ones from the track.
The inside pair was more difficult because of room working around/behind the partially open slide’s facsia but was doable
I have to...
Mine were rotted and torn leaving the anchoring section of the seal in the track. A pick is an easy way to grab and remove that left behind material
The replacement seal then just snaps back inside the track. Friction holds them in place. No screws or fasteners
Call or email RV Lock a picture. Their customer service is very good. They’ll tell you if one of theirs works
We have a ‘17 Bighorn with locks on the entry door and basement doors
D seals are like ☝️he said. But I believe you are referring to the Wiper Seals. They snap into a separate track. You may be able to remove them by pulling on the seal but likely it will tear. A gasket/O-ring pick will come in handy
I ordered replacements from amazon
This is an old post that was activated today by a poster noting “the slide wipers on the right side are torn away from the RV”
Everyone must be looking at the old photo of D seals but the query was about WIPER SEALS. I’ve replaced mine and it’s a different procedure than replacing D-seals
Just...
I’ve had both front jacks, one leaking internally and the other externally, and one rear jack leaking externally rebuilt by a small local shop
+/-$150 each
There is a 5 amp fuse in the power line to the control panel located in the genny compartment of our 2017 Bighorn. I blew that fuse once tracing down an electrical short.
Drove me nuts trying to figure out why I had no power to the level up panel.
Front jacks worked but nothing else
Follow...
I bought replacement wiper seals on amazon but others are available too. Easy DIY project. Check out YouTube. Instructional videos on replacement process. A set of picks helps to disengage the old seal from the track
Can you level the rig using the manual mode?
If so, get the rig leveled to suit you then do the procedure to reset the level point
Lots of YouTube videos to help you
There are lots of YouTube videos on the Henry’s product. Several other coatings out there but Henry’s seemed to have the better reviews
If I had an indoor space, I might have gone with the Dicor roof coating kit but it appears to be rather labor intensive and lengthy to attempt in an outdoor...
As owners of a BH built in 2016, we too have succumbed to the sticky gooey roof debacle.
Last year after spending the winter in Texas I figured the roof was due for a washing to remove the dust and pollen. While doing so I noticed several imprints of my shoe sole in the rubber membrane...
I made my own grounding plug. I know if I plug my surge protector in the line, it shuts down the genny if I don’t have the grounding plug installed.
I’m unawares of any effect if I don’t use the grounding plug
I’ve used our 2000w Honda at 5500 ft without issue
Instead of removing the coroplast underneath I’d remove the basement wall. In our BH I can observe the tank flush line and all of the fittings behind the UDC by doing so.
If you witnessed water running out from underneath after hooking up the flush you must certainly have a leaking fitting
On a side note…I back flush the black tank using the grey water. It is interesting how much more this cleans the black tank then using just the installed back flush connection
Well I’d say the line or admittance valve in the line for the black tank flush failed but I don’t get why the DW said she had no running water.
Without exploring behind the basement wall it’s anyone’s guess
This be helpful to some with the RV absorbtion fridge
We lost our cooling fans sometime in the trip across the Midwest. It wasn't apparent until we were enduring the 100 degree heat in Colorado when the fridge temp went up to 60.
After a couple of calls to mobile techs, it became clear I was...
Flip the shackles and you’ll see the importance of a few boards
Additionally if the site is far from level boards under the level up jacks are good
Unless you’re consistently parking on level concrete site pads, knowing how to use manual mode comes in handy
Flipping shackles. BTDT. If you be changing tires or repacking bearings on one side at a time on a close to level site by making sure the off side is still on the surface the shackles “shouldn’t” flip. However if the site pad is way off level then there is a good chance they will flip. That’s...
If the anti back flow valve isn’t behind the access port in the shower I’d trace the tubing to its highest point, cut it and insert a check valve and call it good
What was the ambient temperature? We’re in Nebraska. Was over 100 yesterday. Obviously hot road surface too.
Today traveling westbound late this morning with the sun shining on the left side tires were 108-110° whereas the right side were 96-98° Ambient air temperature was 95. Experienced same...
The fan is 120v and the wires are joined with typical household wire nuts. The wire nut on the hot lead may have vibrated loose on the trek home. When power was connected the loose connection arc and power was lost to the fan. I’d remove and inspect before running out to buy a new one. Maybe...
Frankly that’s exactly what I’d have done. You should have received all of the installed components warranty information. We did.
Case in point…We lost a Dometic AC while under warranty. My dealership was 150 miles away.
I called a forest river dealer 6 miles away. Had a new AC installed in...
