I totally agree.........No matter how well designed something is.....People can always find a way to mess up!! I wish I could have blamed my "drop" on something or someone......Bottom line I forgot to flip one latch, I screwed up, not my hitch!
For those that are interested in this GPS, it is not yet available for purchase. The following message is what I received from Garmin this morning. If the release of this follows the usual.....It will NOT be on time......Map updates and everything else always take longer than they say!
Dear...
Don't know that is out yet. The model it is based on is the DEZL 760LMT which is designed for the Big Rigs. The DEZL is a good unit that I know people have been happy with. I think I would wait for awhile so that others can work the bugs out of the new design......of course if you wait just a...
I had the tube style that flared out at the dually fender on my '01 Dodge.....had to cut them off at the end of the cab with the new bed. The only ones that I was able to find were manufactured by Waag and were called "Kickouts".........Not sure if they are still in business or not. Great...
There is a seller on eBay that I have used for a number of different truck and trailer LED lights. His prices are very good and shipping is very reasonable. The seller is ascott01......He is located in Springfield, MO and is really good to deal with.......You might look at his site or give him...
I have used Garmin GPS for many years and find it to work just fine. Routinely I update special points of interest files from http://www.poi-factory.com/ and http://www.lowclearances.com/ . Using these two web sites and with some careful planning I have been able to avoid the majority of the...
Just a comment: In my opinion the ratings are very important and should be adhered to. I know my truck will easily tow more than it's listed capacities.....Had to do it on the ranch on more than one occasion.....BUT...... just being able to move it does not mean you are doing it safely or that...
Weight issues would definitely cause premature tire failure. To check your truck and trailer out visit http://fifthwheelst.com/and follow the easy directions to determine exactly what weights you are dealing with, then you can make safe decisions based on facts.
I have "always" done the tug test with jacks barely up......double checked latches etc.........Except for one time!! When I ordered my new Hauler Bed to replace the damage box, I also picked up a Bed Saver.......I had already determined that I could forget to check something......so in my mind...
According to this Web Site there are two "models" CT I & CT II ......the first CT I, being weld on.
Update: This was a listing prior to Mobile Outfitters taking over the product......I have place an inquiry with them as to availability at this time!
I've been following this post since it began.....after reading everyone's responses and talking to a couple of "frame guys" I have changed my opinion on this product. My plan is to take measurements on my coach to check the alignment and if off I will definitely install the Correct...
I use the same pressures with the Michelins on my 2001 Ram, DWR, when towing. Using these pressures I have very even tire wear and have not had any issues.
I was surprised with a new Weber Q 120 grill, rolling cart and cover from my wife and daughter for my birthday. When my wife purchased the grill, the sales person informed her that she needed to by the Weber hose kit if we wanted to hook it up to an LP tank. She told them that we already had...
For many years and many thousands of miles before Correct Track........RV trailers have gone down the roads without chewing up tires or having other problems, because when the suspension components where welded on, it was done properly. I am sure there have been some with problems, but I am not...
Well......I went ahead and ordered the NeverFail Suspension Upgrade Kit and it arrived today.
If I had just looked at the bushings in a store, without knowing of the success people have had with them, I would not have paid a nickel for them. When you physically have them in hand, they do not...
I'm glad that yours was good.......Just saying that what we saw was not even close to r BC and not what we expected to see.......Nothing odd just an unbiased observation.
We love our 2010 BC and have been very pleased with the fit and finish of installed parts. Last week we stopped at two different RV lots and looked at new Landmarks and Big Horns and the workmanship of installation of moldings, fixtures and appliances in those units was at best very poor...
Ran across this chart dealing with wheel bearings and various signs of wear / damage.
Some additional bearing information that I found......More than we would probably ever use, but interesting reading.
I plan on upgrading the bushings on our BC this summer. The "old school" part of me says that if you can lube it it will work better......so I was leaning toward the Wet Bolt kit. I keep looking at the Never Fail bushings and wonder if anyone has put these on their trailer and then checked...
I too would be interested in an outdoor type sun shade for the rear window.......My question is...What does it mount to? I would be concerned about mounting it to the fiberglass rear cap.
Jim;
Glad that the damage was minimal.....when it happened to me at the end of last year I destroyed the box and the tailgate on the pickup. When I installed the hitch in my new hauler bed the very next thing I did was to install the Bed Saver! Guess I "locked the barn after the horse got...
Over the past couple of weeks, due to changes in my tow vehicle, I have had numerous discussions concerning insuring and licensing RVs and the tow vehicles that go with them. After many telephone and a in person visits with representatives of the Texas DMV and DPS, I was assured that I was...
Does anyone have dimensions for the theater seating unit?? Wondering if it would fit on rear wall of our BC.....We have been thinking about replacing the original recliners for reasons others have mentioned previously.
Was reading through this post to see what new ideas people had come up with.........Grandson and I went to Lowe's to pick something up. We wandered into the garden section and found they had a close out on 5" X 8' plastic fence posts. They only had about a dozen and did not have any of the...
Well I have been checking on insurance for the truck......checked with 3 different brokers who write policies for all the companies previously mentioned and some others.......Same answer for every company...."pickup with that type of modification cannot be written under a personal policy, must...
Re: Looking for Pin Box Cover
As Speedy said.....timing is everything! Ed (ucwinters) not only has what I need, but I will be in his "neck of the woods" early next month so I'll be able to pick it up!!
What a deal!
My rims are all the same......rotation is free......Yes I rotate, every 5-7k . Have always done this so I really don't know if it helps with wear, but to me, it just seems that it would....especially with the heavy diesel motor in the front end as others have mentioned.
Wondering if anyone has one of the "white" fiberglass pin box covers that they have removed because of new pin box installation. The one on our 2010 BC has some slight damage at the rear. The damage is not that noticeable and can probably just be trimmed away, but, if I can obtain one that is...
