    Poor quality circuit breakers

Thanks for the info, my slides and jacks are just starting to slow down and stop & go on retraction. I will order all new circuit breakers and replace mine. My slides & jacks have gone through quite a few cycles, so upgrading the breakers now is probably a good idea. Really glad at times I...

    Slide rollers

Happened to me two weeks after my warranty was up. I replaced (2) rollers, added another and replaced the torn floor. Heartland wouldn't make it good, so the repair came at my expense.

    Kitchen Slide rollers broken

I have replaced two broken 10" slide rollers on my big horn right after my RV went out of warranty. You can do it yourself, but there is at least a day of work involved. Hopefully your floor did not get torn up like mine did when the rollers broke. Here is a picture of one of my rollers and how...

    icemaker Line leak

How hard it is to replace the line depends on where the leak is. On my Bighorn it leaked just past the frig connection. I had to pull the frig out and all the kitchen drawers to run the new stainless braided water line. I fished it through the floor and down to the water connection on the...

If the streaks are from your slide gaskets, rubbing alcohol and a paper towel work great.

    LED Lounge Lights

The (4) LED ceiling Lounge lights just quit working altogether on my Bighorn. I checked the fuse and it is good. I can't believe the 4 lights burnt out at the same time. I'm not that familiar with working with LED lights, how can you tell if they are burnt out? Would any of you have a remedy or...

    Traversing the Rocky Mountains

Get your instrument ticket after your private license; that's what makes you a pilot. I was at the Chevy Dealer today looking at the new Silverado 3500's and the new one's have more torque and power than the previous years. Truck has to be a really bad animal now.

    Landmark Factory Tour

I also took took the tour and really was a waste of time. It was after shift, poorly lit in the bldg. and was done in 20 minutes. I didn't have time to really check anything out real good on the units that were in production. The tour guide was somebody out of the office that didn't know much...

    Wing/Airfoil on Trucks

I have seen a few trucks towing 5th wheels with a wing on the roof of the truck. I take it as to help keep bugs off the front cap of the RV. Is there any pro's or con's out there on this set up? Does it really work?

Issue with Spare Tire Carrier on BigHorn

One of the first things I did was get rid of the knob & bolt. I drilled my rack where it goes on the frame and added an all weather pad lock to hold the tire rack to the frame.

    Another Generator Question

My Honda 3000 is stored in front of my 5th wheel hitch. I still can close my tonneau cover, but you see a small spot where the Honda's Tank Cap pushes on the cover. The only draw back to this is, if I stayed hooked to the 5th wheel I can't reach the generator with the power cord (to short). I...

    Refrigerator won’t operate while towing

Does your frig work when not hooked to pedestal power and the Remote Switch at your panel is on? It should, if not check your inverter and make sure the breaker doesn't need to be reset. The breaker is located by the plug side of you inverter. Push it in to reset. Also make sure you batteries...

    Peeling Furniture

My Theatre chairs have been peeling for the last 5 months on my 2016. I would also like to replace them with some quality furniture. The chairs aren't standard size, so replacing them is a problem. I have seat covers on them now to cover the peeling. Next time I order an RV, I will have them...

    Black water vent

I just had the pipe going to one of my grey tank break at the fitting. All I can figure is there wasn't room between the pipe and the chase it was run in. Def

I carry an extra 2-1/2 gallon box of DEF while on the road just in case I might get low. We are in Walmart's all the time, so I purchase it there when needed as it is usually the cheapest place. I like using the same brand and Walmart carry's the Blue DEF brand. I alway check the expiration date...

    Gray Water Pipe Broken

After taking a better look at the break today I tend to agree with you on why the pipe broke. I stuck the broken pipe back together and their is no clearance around the pipe at all. It is touching the bottom & side of the pipe chase. No room for movement when the tank moves and yes the tank can...

    Gray Water Pipe Broken

I had water leaking under the RV, so I opened the belly up and found that the 1-1/2" abs pipe coming from the kitchen sink to the grey water tank had broken. The pipe broke right at the 90* fitting going into the top of the grey water tank. I don't have a clue what caused the pipe to break...
