The instructions recommended 80 to 100 psi as a start with a max of 120. On the ride up I had 90 in the bag and we got bounced around pretty good. Coming home I put it at 77 and it rode very well.
It's going to have to go to my favorite place to sell things, Craig's List. I've sold everything I've ever put on there including just recently my old trailer tires and wheels.
I know I'll take a little loss but sure am happy I decided to roll the dice on the 5th Airborne. We have some really...
No, sorry, let me clarify. The 5th Airborne has an air bag for the up and down bumps and a shock absorber for the front to back. It just took a couple of adjustments to get the airbag to where we liked it. My hitch is a Reese Signature 18,000.
Back in April we went to Moro Bay, Ca for spring break. I had never really noticed but my wife said the chucking was really starting to bother her. We have some pretty bad roads in California. I should mention this is on a 2010 Cyclone 3010. So without doing any research(unlike me) I get on the...
O.K., I think I may have missed a post but what does the purple color of a members name denote? I think green is moderators and red is Jim, but purple seems new.
Thanks!
I saw these at WM today. My local store has plenty of them. My question is how do you switch between heater and A/C? It says it will control both but without opening the package I could not see any switch to move between the two.
I just bought new G614's and am wondering what pressure to run cold. The wheels are rated for 110 psi so the tire guy I had balance them said to leave them at 100 so there's room for heat expansion. If I run them at 110 psi cold, won't they far exceed the wheel rating when they heat up?
Thanks!
I've looked at the original thread but am still not quite sure how to make this mod or apply it. Did you take any pictures or can you break it down?
Thanks!
Well, I Chickened Out (Tires) Pictures Added
I was waffling back and forth about using the factory tires for a year and then replacing them, but finally decided to just go ahead and replace them with Goodyear G614's. We had a bad blow out on Chinese tires on our last travel trailer and it was...
Take a look at tredit.com. They supply wheels to Heartland. You may be able to find your wheel specs including offset. I just ordered new wheels from them so I could run the G614's on my Cyclone.
All the offsets I saw were 0. Also check max load and psi rating.
I'd stick with factory stuff but I...
How did the price of the dealer in Sacramento compare with Holman's? I live in the Bay Area and drove to Holman's in Ohio to pick up our new Cyclone because the difference in price was substantial.
Also, if you haven't already take a look at See Grins RV. They are a New Heartland dealer. I drove...
I was going to replace the valve stems because I did just get a Pressure Pro from Pat McFall. On our first trip with them last week, the alarm went off and 1 tire was 10 lbs low. I refilled it and it's holding air but I wonder if the heavy sensors bent the rubber valve stem too much and let out...
Tom, if you look at your main A/C unit inside the trailer you will see a panel that will slide to open a large vent on the unit itself. This "dumps" the cold air into the main living and not through the ducts. It cools the main area much quicker. Some air still makes it through the ducts but not...
What would be the disadvantage of running them at 100? Would they be under inflated?
Also, would it be worth it to get these tires if they could only be inflated to 100 lbs?
Thanks!
The point is I just spent 40 + grand on my 6 month old trailer and I don't want to buy new tanks from the factory. I saw Doug's fix and it looks great but I don't have the time or desire to tear apart my new trailer, let alone trying to find someone who can do plastic welding. This is not...
Well, in this thread//heartlandowners.org/showthread.php/15430-Fresh-Water-Tank?highlight=water+cyclone Riverman says to call Heartland as they are very willing to help and all the new models coming off line now are totally redesigned. So I read this thread and think Hey, they have a fix and...
Thanks Duane,
I'm going to take the Cyclone to the tire dealer this weekend and have them put in metal valve stems and balance the tires and go with the Towmasters this Summer. I'll look into replacing next year.
I have a 2010 Cyclone 3010 with 7000 lb. axles. I want to replace the factory Towmasters with Michelin LT23585R16's before we head out on long trips this Summer, but after some research I realize the Towmasters I currently have are rated at a max of 3500 lbs. and the X Ribs are rated at 3042...
My 2010 Cyclone came with the Shur flo 5.7. It quit working after about 4 months. Heartland sent me a new one with just a phone call and request from me. Great service. Anyway, I talked to Shur flo and they think the reason it failed was because 90 degree elbows were used on the inlet and outlet...
Jim, if you would report back with your observations that would be great.
Do you by any chance have any pictures of the tri glide on your Landmark?
Thanks!
O.K, I know this subject has been beaten to death lately and I've gone through and read all the threads but I still have some questions. On our last trip my wife said it would be nice if the ride was a little smoother. We have a 2010 Cyclone 3010. The ride is not terrible but there is some...
I just saw this on the internet and was a little surprised. Prior to my current GMC, I've always had Fords. Scroll down to #5

Re: questions from a soon-to-be owner
Welcome to the Heartland forum leaderdogmom. I thought I recognized your screen from the Outbackers site. We sold our Outback 25RSS last year and bought a Cyclone 3010. We've had it 6 months now and the only problem to date was the water pump went out. I...
I had 2 cabinet doors come apart in the corners. As John suggested, I'm going to wait for warmer weather and clamp and glue them. Mine still function but just came apart. The glue guy must have been sitting under a palm tree sipping an umbrella drink the week mine was made.
That's the way it always goes. You find exactly what you needed 2 weeks ago, LOL.
Yes, I used the factory/dealer vent hose and tied the 12 volt battery vent into that. There are no holes in the bottom of the battery box. When my dealer installed the original 2 6 volts for me, they put holes in...
I hard wired my inverter to a sub panel so all the plugs and microwave circuit are live when the inverter is on, but not the converter, wh, a/c etc.
Thanks for the tip though.
Since we dry camp most of the time I decided to add an inverter to power the plugs in case we wanted to use them without the gen running after hours. I also added 4 6 volt batteries and also wired in my original 12 volt as backup. They are switched on separate battery banks.
For the inverter, we...
Also, are you getting a 2011? If so, I've seen some with heat in the garage and some without. The early builds did not have it. I had to add it to my Cyclone and it was a bit of work. If it matters to you, check for that also.
We bought our 3010 from Jamie at Holman's. All calls were returned and the level of customer service once I got there was excellent.
You shouldn't have to deal with the nonsense you are going through when making a purchase like this.
Good luck!
Unfortunately, with this small an area and a flat carpet you will see the patch. This will be the first thing the eye is drawn to.
A carpet with a little more pile is easier to hide the patch, and in a larger room it's not as noticeable.
The best bet is to replace the whole piece since it's...
