HI Jake, I'm sure your steps are covered with carpet, so get a good magnet and move along the top edge. You should find 4--5 screws embedded in the carpet that you can remove to gain access under and behind the steps. Jim M

My bathroom in my BH 3670 is exactly like that and nothing is there. I think it is a panel that gave access to the wiring for switches for the bedroom lights on the other side of the wall. Jim M

You have two panels where the power comes from, a 12v that has fuses in it and the other panel for 120v that has circuit breakers. Have you checked the circuit breakers? The GFI plug is fed from one of the 120v breakers. Some times a breaker will trip and you cannot hardly tell it, it is best...

Some say they are hooked to the rear speaker output. Try turning front to rear and see what happens. Jim M

Try a LED bulb that works in another fixture in the one that does not work. If it does not work also then the wiring may be reversed in the 12v fixture. Most LED's will not work if 12v is wiring reversed. Jim M
