Not alot of action here on the forum, I realize it is summer and we all should be out using our campers, but I am excited to share with you the official Logo of the Iowa Heartland Owner's Club. The banner is at the printers, and should be on display at the National Rally in Nashville.

4x4 here as well. Can get messy in the winter, but have also needed it to get out of a camp site or two after a wash out of a weekend. I always look at it like, better safe than sorry. If I never use the 4wd, that is a good thing....... same as the slider hitch.

Our wonderful angel Lauren, will be attending her 2nd rally with us. She is 2 and full of energy. Has anyone been to the area with children in the past, and can you recommend any must do activities we can start looking in to? Is anyone else bring children to the rally?

We too dealt with Lakeshore, and not only was the actual sale very easy, but the PDI was great and they were very patient with us newbies.

As a new parent, and non bike owner, I am sure we will head down this road soon enough. Good info, thanks for sharing.

I have heard SD is the way to go. In the Midwest I run in to alot of SD Rv's, and no one is from there :)

In my opinion the upgrade to larger axles is a no brainer. Bigger is better!

Well I have read quite a bit about the Rushmore area, but would like to hear from some fellow Heartland owners as to their experiences. We will leave SE Iowa and drive to Sioux Falls, probably spend a day or 2. Our daughter will be 28 months at time of trip, so would like to find a kid...

We too compared Heartland Sundance vs Cougar. We looked at the 3300RLB first and determined we needed the second bath, so we compared the 2998RB to the 298SAB ( I think, and am too lazy to check it ;) ). We felt that the attention to detail in the Sundance was better, I liked the optional big...

I would go with the insurance policy, get a slider, and if you never have to use it..... be happy.

Lakeshore will let you camp on there grounds.... check out the camper and then do you pdi.

A couple of things with ours...... 1. Look at the calk around the tub/glass enclsosure. 2. Ensure ALL fittings going in to the hotwater tank are tight. 3. If you see "Black Plastic" on the rugs near the slides, get them adjusted right away.

Would love to join you, but that is a little early for us.... We were going to leave Wednesday, camp along the way, and get there Thursday, we could swing maybe a day ealier, but not the whole week...... We will see you there!
