    5th Wheel Covers-ease of use?

I am not the most experienced person for giving you advice because I only recently purchased and installed my cover for the first time. That being said let me tell you of my experience. My Adco cover from Camping World also came with a hand crank. I set about installing my cover by myself...

Forest River Wildcat Sterling Edition 29mk

Having a Sundance 2900mk I went through the pictures and specifications with a great deal of interest. I would like to think that I am capable of doing this in an unbiased manner because if I really saw something a whole better, frankly, I would buy it now. I will not go through all the...

Adding water after tank has emptied while Boom Docking

I use a variation of the method described above for adding water when I am in a dry camping area. I use the anti freeze line to draw water from a 5 gal container as described above. But then I connect my exterior shower to my water storage tank and turn on the shower tap. That way I can...

    Battery discharging?

After your battery shows a "fair" capacity level, how many hours do you charge the battery for? You could be only partially recharging the battery which, when you disconnect it from the the charger, will show a full charge but this is only a surface charge. If that is the case, it would...

    Slide out toppers....Yes or No

Before you go too far down the road of making a decision, you should check to make sure that they can be installed on your unit. For my Sundance model I was surprised to learn that a topper cannot be installed on the curbside slide as there is not enough clearance.

ATF: Greystone - 29MK TV mount

After pulling out the rod you can then lift the TV up and the four hooks on the back of the TV will then lift away from the plate which is attached to the wall. The purpose of the hook is to prevent the TV from being accidently bumped off of the plate while travelling. If you are having...

    Pantry

I did not obtain mine from Heartland, it was an after market purchase and installation. The release catch is, as somebody earlier in this thread indicated, about one third of the way up from the bottom basket. Just run your hands around the vertical support from the bottome up and you will...

    Propane Bar-B-Q

That is not my preferred option as it is so limiting as to where you can actually use your barbeque. On rainy days I use our Weber Baby Q on its stand underneath the front of our 5th wheel. On other days I will use the Weber Baby Q on its stand in other locations around the trailer depending...

    How safe is propane?

When I fill my tank that has an OPD valve every operator always charges me for a volume that equates to 100% of the capacity of the tank, not 80%. What has your experience been?

    Kitchen backsplash??????

I purchased a backsplash made of Lexan, which is a polycarbonate sheet. It is a very thin clear "plastic" sheet which I installed using the 3M sticker pads. It has worked quite well and the original wall paper is still visible.

    Greystone fresh water tank

My permanent fix was to return to the selling dealer while the Sundance was still under warranty. That was when I learned that there was a kink in the air vent hose. I have never had a problem since.

    Greystone fresh water tank

Just blow into the vent. If that does not work, take off the access panel which you would remove to access the water tank bypass valves. By sticking your head through this access panel you will be able to see a portion of the water tank vent line and determine whether there is a kink at least...

    Greystone fresh water tank

The most common cause of this problem is that water has entered the vent hose which prevents air from escaping from the tank which means the tank will no longer accept any more water or possibly the air vent hose has a kink in it. Try blowing air into the hose to force any water that may have...

    Leaky Seal

The small amount of liquid behind the cap may be caused by the dump site you chose to use as it did not lower the driver side of the RV to ensure that the drain lines completely emptied. You could try placing some leveler blocks on the passenger side of your RV to create the necessary slope to...

    Stop the icky mystery liquid!

And if you can convince your better half to wash the dishes in a plastic tub which will fit in the sink, then you can empty the plastic tub after doing the dishes in the firepit and conserve the extra 45 gallons for having showers each morning.

First trip back to the dealer - no brakes

I suggest that you pull the safety pin and verify that the trailer brakes have locked up then you will know that the problem is with your brake controller and/or truck wiring.

Rain and auto-awnings (how do you tilt them?)

Dometic will provide you with a free retrofit arm to enable the awning to be tilted. In the earlier posts there was a reference to a black knob that you tightened to hold the awning at whatever tilt level you desired.

Leak By On Black Tank Valve

It is okay to carry a Valtrex valve for emergency purposes but you should really return the unit to the dealer when it is under warranty to have the problem fixed properly. A bit of a hassle but you will enjoy the benefit in the longer run.

    Sundance Water tank/pump issues

When we first took delivery of our Sundance we experienced the same problem. The problem was caused by a kink in the air line that allows the air to escape from the water tank when it is being filled. Once the kink was removed we have never experienced the problem again.

    american tires

A couple of months ago I posted a question on this site enquiring as to whether any Sundance owners had replaced their ST235/80/16 tires with an LT tire as I know the clearances are tight and I wanted to hear from someone who had actually made the change in size. Hearing nothing, I went with...

    Replacing those slider windows :(

Evidently a number of you with electric awnings are not aware that Dometic will provide, free of charge, a replacement retrofit arm for one side that will allow you to tilt the awning so that water will drain. If you install the arm yourself, which is not difficult, it is free, otherwise a...
