One more time for the old folks back home

Thanks Thanks Scott. I hadn't intended to cut the ABS. I was going to uscrew it where it is screwed on to the frame. The reason was not just for curiosity. If one of the vents does not have a hose attached, it will slosh water into the belly of the trailer instead of out thru the...

One more time for the old folks back home

Can I see them If I take plastic covering off the bottom of the trailer, will I then be able to see if all the vents have hoses attached to them. Or is there some other obstical there that would prevent me from seeing them and affecting repairs if necessary. Thanks:confused:

One more time for the old folks back home

I asked this question of the factor a little while back. I will try again. This time with a little more information. Our 3055 has only two drain tubes exiting the the belly near the door side rear tires. Another exits near the docking station and is the dump for pumping out the fresh water...

    Overflow vents

I don't mean to beat a dead horse here, however, I am confused. Our BH 3055 has 4 tubes protruding from the bottom. 2 are near the door side wheels and are white in color. One is near the docking station and is white in color and is the one that drains when the 2 valves in the docking station...

    Leaky Slide

Not much confidence Scott, Thanks for the quick reply. No, I have not called my dealer as of yet. Part of the reason is that I do not have much confidence in them. I really doubt that they have the where-with-all to find and repair the problem. To give you an example, on the day that we...

    Leaky Slide

We own a Bighorn 3055. It spent its first day out in a good rain storm here with the slides in the out position. We had a leak in the off door slide(couch and dinning table) that made the carpet wet between the edge of the slide and the reefer. Got a ladder out and looked at the top of the...

    Arn't we a strange bunch!?

Thanks Chopperbill, Thanks for posting what you do. I don't consider what you or anyone else on this forum does as complaining only for complainings sake. We all share information and ideas about fixes. And like you said, these things aren't perfect and none are. Therefore all the help and...

    wet floors under slides

Maybe I found it. After spending the better part of the day scooting around under our 3055 with the slides extended, I think I have found what may be part of the wet floor problems. Under the entertainment slide out, there is a portion of the frame where the black plastic material, that they...

    Plastic wire support belt

Wonder how others do it? I don't mean to kick a dead horse here, however, I wonder how other rv manufacturers address the design problem of having electrical wires travel with the slideout. I can't recall seeing on rv.net any complaints of other brands of products having the type of problems...

RV's For Less - closed thread

What if ???? Deb, I agree that the purchasing experience is a very important one. Having a selling dealer that takes care of you on the day of PDI is very important. However, what does one do when something needs to be fixed by the dealer and the dealer is 500 or more miles away...

    Exhausting your generator

Does the Honda 3000 get it started Bluegrassman, Does the Honda start and run your air conditioner OK. I keep seeing conflicting reports about the amount of current needed to not just run the air conditioner, but the amount that is needed to start it up. Thanks

    Pdi

Me Too Chopper Bill, Me too. Previous to owning our Bighorn, the biggest thing I have ever backed was a small sailboat trailer. Even that was a challeng. Took me over a half hour to get ours in on one side of our double driveway leaving enough room to park the truck and a car on the other...

Which dealer can I use for service

Thanks Scott. Closeness isn't the only factor here. Competance of the dealer also factors into any decision to go a different dealer. Being at the back of the line is just something I guess I must accept for having purchased from what I consider a less than compentant dealer.

Which dealer can I use for service

Scott or Coley, First of all do I have to take my Bighorn to the dealer I purchased it from to have warranty work done. I am going to need attention to my A/C since it takes forever to get cool even in only 87 degree weather. It has the common problem, very little airflow from the vents. The...

    Trailer Leaning

Sue them if they don't want to play nice Tom, My daughter the lawyer, and a good one I might add. Said that in a case such as yours that a warranty that is limited to time does not apply. They sold you something that was not merchantable. It would be a bit like an automobile manufacturer...

    AC air flow problem SOLVED

Mountain good idea Jim, I think you have a great idea there about making the mountain to divert the air both ways. Perhaps even attach the mountain to the plasitc cover (the one with the 6 screws)that you show in you photos. That way any adjustments could be easily made and wouldn't be as...

    AC air flow problem SOLVED

Tim, I want to thank you very much for your photos and especially the drawing of how you solved your a/c distribution problems. When we get our 3055 back out of storage I am sure that I will do the same thing that you have done, since or a/c seemed very weak on our first time out also...
