A few weeks ago I had the rear axle shift on our Landmark because the centering pin broke. As it turned out the axles actually shifted at least slightly at all the u-bolts. It was recommended that all the u-bolts and centering pins be replaced. I had the work completed at a truck and trailer...
I have had my RV Lock v4 since 12/2014 and I recently noticed that the keypad membrane is cracking from use, which was resulting in the numbers being revealed that are part of our access code. We use the keypad almost exclusively because the fob is pretty slow. I didn't believe this should be a...
Funny you should ask! I just yesterday decided it was time to find the answer after months without a light in the shower. Turned out to be a simple fix. Twist the metal trim ring around the light clockwise maybe a quarter of an inch. Then with your fingernails or a thin bladed screwdriver, pop...
Re: No power at microwave outlet.
I had pretty the same thing happen to my Landmark and I found a loose wire in the junction box under the kitchen slide. The wires actually came apart. I reattached with the wire nut and then taped them with electrical tape to ensure they will not come apart in...
We own a Heartland Landmark and use Diederich's RV Mart in Coxsackie NY. They are wonderful people and do great work. They will do warranty work and work with heartland. We have used them for over 4 years for our service work with no complaints.

Bob,
My 2011 Landmark is setup the same way with the jumper in the bedroom closet. I solved the problem by running a coax cable directly from the closet thru the washer/dryer area and down under the bedroom window and under the dresser into the clothes cabinet and up to the top of the dresser...
You can clean that area with denatured alcohol and recaulked over the old. You can get denatured alcohol at Home Depot or Lowe's. Recaulked my seams this spring.

I encountered the same issue a year ago and replacing the breaker corrected the problem. Purchased 2 breakers at a NAPA Auto Parts store. The second one was to have spare should this ever happen again. Good luck!!

Re: Fast one by tst? Misunderstanding by OP
Great company!! They have replaced a bad sensor and provided new o-rings free of charge. I also purchased my replacement batteries directly from them this year and they shipped free. Can't ask for better service.

Last night the bulb in the shower overhead light burned out in our Landmark. I'm not sure how to get access to replace the bulb. The lens on the light doesn't appear to turn and it looks like the only other option is to take down the entire skylight internal cover. I'm sure someone has replaced...
One complete cleaning cycle takes about 2 hours. So your initial cleaning will take about 6 hours. But after that it takes about 2 hour per month to keep the unit cleaned out.
There is an official procedure that Westland Sales (the warranty/service company for Splendide) recommends to clean the washer/dry combo unit.
· Start the unit without clothes and with the dry time off on cycle # 11. When the water stops entering unit push and hold the start button...
Have you tried this station with the satellite dish in the stowed position to determine if the dish is actually blocking the signal? Do the three Heartland rigs utilize the same amplifier? Different amplifiers may not receive the same channels.

I installed a twist-on valve and the problem is solve. They all seem to leak some and this is an easy way to prevent waste water from leaking onto the ground. I believe it was $12 at camping world. Attach and your done.

I have a 507 TST system as well and have found that my air pressure gauge is consistently 4 psi lower then what my TST system reports. If you were to use 4 gauges I believe you would get 4 different readings. I know a number of people who use the TST system and praise it for early warning with a...
I have the mor/ryde pin box on our Landmark with the B&W turnball hitch. We have a comfortable ride on most surfaces and have experienced no issues with this setup.

I wouldn't think so because we were in colder weather back in NY when we started our full time life style. What surprised me was how simplistic the heating system really is.

Re: Furnace does NOTHING!!
kakampers thank you for your post on your furnace problem. We woke up this morning and our furnace did the same as yours. A long story short after a few tests it appeared our board was bad as well. A trip to the local RV place (the only one in remote Campsbellsville...
Our rig is just over 3 years old and just this past month we developed a pin hole in our suburban hot water tank. The hole developed in the burn chamber. We full-time in our rig and flush the tank twice a year and check the condition of the anode rod. We believe the tank liner failed causing the...
This past summer my door side regulator failed and I was smelling gas from the door side tank. My RV guy told that regulator is only needed if you have a generator. He indicated I could connect the line to the tank directly because we also have the off door side regulator. I opted to install a...
Just had the same issue happen to my fantastic fan yesterday. The lid would open and close fine but the fan would not start. I thought that it might be a stuck switch. But checked the forum first and found this thread. There were a couple suggestions I didn't think about. Went up and opened the...
I87 is the NYS Thruway. You will have no issues from the NY state border to Lake George on 87. Not sure about the other routes though.

I have had my TST system for a little over a year and love it. Glad to have a system monitoring my tires so I don't have to keep checking my tires in the mirrors all the time. Still look but no where as often. Great product for any RV owner.

If you can't afford both the sensors for both the truck and trailer. Get them for the trailer now and add sensors for the truck later.

This is a very good resource for understanding the electrical connection to your rv. I actually utilized this before have an outlet installed in my home. Used it to explain to the electrician exactly what I wanted. Then i double checked to unsure it was correct before using it. Made index cards...
The small red switch on the tank level panel is to run your water heater on propane /12volts. There is also a red light switch near that panel to run your water heater on 120 volts. If you are on shore power your can run the water heater on either 120 volts or propane or both if you want.

They must have recently changed to Verizon because not long ago I checked their coverage map and they only had 2g in upstate NY. Just checked based on this thread and they now have 4g there. We need to make changes with our wireless access so I am really interested in how this works out for you...
Duane,
Thank you for the education on the monitor and switch. If I had an electrical issue I wasn't sure why you would bypass. Genny is a great reason. My unit came with an error code card and I have it taped under my monitor for quick reference. Our progressive saved our bacon just about a...
Porthole, thanks for adding your comments regarding my post. That is the article I was referring to. I though it was via the forum but was not sure. Question though. You said there are two methods to bypass. I do have the monitor in my 5er. I never turn that off. But if I do am I bypassing the...
Re: Portable or Built-In
I have my progressive unit hard wired into my rig. I believe I have read that should the unit fail you can contact progressive technical support and they will walk through removing something to bypass the unit so you can get power to the rig. Then they will replace or...
One goes to your antenna and other goes to your satellite. You could put your receiver there. But if your rig is like mine there is a single coax that runs to the TV through the wall/ceiling and you have to keep moving that small jumper to select air/cable or sat. That's inconvenient so I ran a...
