I have a 25k Airsafe hitch in my '09 Ford F450 with a Retrax roll top tonneau and at the setting the hitch is at now, the cover clears the head by about 3" when closed. Now, the only problem is I don't yet have a Heartland product... but the hitch adjusts about about 20" from top to bottom and...

I had the same problem with mine after the 5er had sat for awhile... (like 2-3 weeks)... the fan motor would sorta seize up... I could remove the inside ceiling panel and spin the squirrel cage fan and the AC would work fine until the next time I let it sit... Talked with Coleman and they said...

Right now our 5er is parked (we are semi-permanent-seasonal) at a campground about 45 miles from my house, so I am not using any fuel for camping... BUT... I have budgeted for $850 a month for fuel when we go full-time in '09... if fuel is $8.50 a gal and I can get 10 mpg, then we will go...

I tow a 30' Cedar Creek Silverback that (with my truck full of fuel and two people and a dog) scales at ~17,200lbs with a '03 2500 LWB CTD.. the particular design on my 5er only puts about ~1600 lbs of pin on the truck and 8300 on the axles loaded for a week of camping... with these weights in...

Maybe I shouldn't say this too loud as Heartland might raise their prices ;) , but we didn't have anything to do last Saturday so we hit a couple of RV dealers in the local area for some "comparison" shopping.. We looked at some fairly "high-end" units that bring 20-40k more than the Landmarks...

Since I keep my 5er at a campground year-round, we wrapped our water hose with foam insulation (I like the idea of the rope light and will keep that in mind when or if we end up in colder climates)... of course, since we are only 10 miles off the Gulf of Mexico, it doesn't get below freezing...

Steve, The folks at Ingram's said some other folks were looking at the Augusta as well. We kinda thought the same thing about the price difference.. but when time comes to do the actual ordering (and knowing me probably before then) I will find out just what you get for the 9k difference.. a...

Don & Sheri, Well you beat me to the post... and it was good to meet you two as well... the Augusta was as we expected it to be and unless something drastic happens it will be our full-time rig in the near future (I keep saying "near" as 2 years is nothing when you are having fun :D )...

Mark, We are finally seeing good pictures of the Augusta (along with specs on the Heartland website) and have basically zeroed in on this as our next unit... Have talked with Don at Heartland and he sent me some info on the unit and found me a dealer in Alabama who has one in stock...

I am late to this thread.. but, in looking over the available options on the '08 Landmarks (looks like they are the '08s as they look different from a cpl of months ago), I don't see the dishwasher as a factory option... am I missing it somewhere or is this a dealer option? With the convection...
