    Another TowMax victim reporting in....

Happy New Year gang, thought I would close out my personal experience with this situation with the latest update -- On Christmas Eve we received the Towmax "Sorry that you had an issue with our tires, but: you didn't keep them inflated properly; you over loaded them; or you pulled your trailer...

Another update: 1) Replaced the Towmaxs with same size Carlisles (all five) on Friday...I had good luck with these on my travel trailer; 2) Repair estimate currently sitting at $3,400 (mostly cosmetic, but we are getting a new heater as the casing was involved); 3) Blown tires on the way to...

So many opinions on the web pertaining to tires for our coaches...other than run away from the TowMax's and Marathons; as I don't want the expense of new wheels this leaves out the G614's; anyone have experience with other than the Ribs that Piet10 mentions above? And what about switching from...

Thanks Jim for the advise and insight... I have already started down to paths you outline, as for weighing my rig...did that last year under similar circumstances so I am fairly confident it wasn't or hasn't been overloaded, as for tire pressure I check that before each trip, that leaves speed...

Towmax tire blow outs, Heartland may want your tire

    Another TowMax victim reporting in....

Thought I would update the thread...contact TowMax Distributor, they want me to: 1) prep the carcasses for shipment (will do this over the weekend); 2) Get repair estimates for the rig (unfortunately I can't get an appointment until 10/03). The manufacturer will be contacting me about FedEx...

Yesterday while heading home from a weekend outing I got to experience not one, but two occurrences of these well designed and Quality Assured tires. First setting the scene: tires at proper pressure (80lb), speed under 65MPH, trailer weight below 14,000lbs, miles on tires TOTAL less than 1,000...

    RESOLVED: 30C VIN tag inaccurate

Re: 30C VIN tag inaccurate. Well dang it (or something to that affect) the axles on our coach either have the tags removed or completed obliterated so I can't tell if they are 6K or 7K axles. Maybe a PM to AJ for confirmation on what Support provided me....

    RESOLVED: 30C VIN tag inaccurate

Re: 30C VIN tag inaccurate. This is great to hear...I have a 2012 300C and when I contacted Cyclone earlier this year I was told that the BOM indicated I had 6K axles (I didn't look at the unit as it was in storage and lousy weather), so no luck on getting new sticker. Well now my trailer is on...

    Fifth Wheel Damage

Filling out application for the "Been there, done that club"...at the Dealership no less. Luckily my front gear was most of the way down (please don't ask, stupid rookie mistake), damage $45.00 for new bed cover rail...I got OFF really lucky and will be looking into Butch's safety catch.

    Heartlland Owners Group Membership

All. Not sure where else to post this or to query about, but a friend of ours also recently purchased a Cyclone trailer and within a few weeks received a Heartland Owners "packet" (not sure what this means/includes), however we have not received anything mentioning an owners group (other than...

    First Weekend Impressions - 300C

We completed our first weekend out with our 300C and thought I would share some of our first impressions: 1) Towing with our current truck (2005 Silverado 2500HD) - No problems, could use a dually, but that will come later...mileage about 12MPG out to the coast and back; 2) Livability of the...

And its "home"...well sort of :).

So in doing a little web-research the wall mount appears to be similar to the MorRyde TV5-*** mounts (specifically the TV5-002 or 003). It would be great if someone from the factory could chime in with confirmation or not...here is the link to the product -...

yup...already looking at airbags, although it is riding pretty good (clearing the axle bumpers with by a couple of inches) as it sits and is nearly level. Good idea on the dual breaker, I will check that out this weekend as I start my first round of modifications...adding shelves to the cabinet...

Well we are officially members of the Heartland/Cyclone family now, picked up our 300C on Saturday and placed it into our storage space yeseterday. All moved in nearly everything is in place (need to work on some A/V stuff in the living area) and get the garage ready for the Bike (working on...

    300C problems

I am hoping that those of you that have had issues are the unfortunate outliers from the production line and are not the norm (other than comments on incorrect weight labels, 7K vs 8k axles, 2 vs 3 axles, etc...these sound like design decisions that "shouldn't" affect our families safety) as I...

    Well we finally did it....

Thanks Jim....I did compare the yellow sticker and the VIN tag, they are the same. After looking at the liquid storage and totalling them up....the trailer wouldn't be able (legally) be on the road...with no other cargo. Hence I figured its a mistake.

    Well we finally did it....

After talking about it for close to a year, looking for almost that long...we finally pulled the trigger on 2012 CY300C from a local dealer. Great looking unit inside and out....now to get the truck ready to haul a 5'er and see if we can sneak a trip in before the weather really turns nasty...

And yet another tow rating question....

Ugh....so confusing, so I looked at the rear axle weight capacity (don't recall the number but it was inline), manual stated hitch pin maximum (3500lbs) and compared it to the hitch pin weights on the units we are interested in....and I should be okay with any of the rigs above. I was just...

And yet another tow rating question....

In going through my owners manual (2005 2500HD Silverado , 6.6,4x4, Ext Cab, long box) it indicates my towing capacity is 12,000lbs...however Trailer Lifes 2005 towing guide is showing 12,000(16,000) capacity, with the value in paranthesis being for a fiver. Now my question: Does anyone know...

    Torque 301/321 Questions

Thanks Jim...as for the warranty work that was my assumption as well. As for the levelers/stabilizers that's good info to add to the 'decision factors', but not a deal breaker. The Mrs and I had a chance to look at a TQ321...first off THANK YOU Torque for being the first Mfg to understand what empty nesters want in a Toy Hauler (room for a toy and sleeps 4-6 (not an army :)) with apparently enough storage to actually store living needs), now my...

I think this fits here, question about Hydra Motorcycle lifts

@ Speedy and Caissiel I currently put the bike in the bed of my HD2500 using a Rampage lift (pretty slick toy, always draws a crowd at the campgrounds)(http://www.rampagelift.com/). We were hoping to go a bit bigger in unit and move the bike indoors for hauling or really bad weather outdoors.

    General Toy Hauler Floorplan Comments

Brother/Sisters. Is it just my wife and I or is there a general lack of understanding from the RV makers on what many of us are looking for in terms of a fifth-wheel RV today? I know these units started as toy haulers for multiple dirt bikes and/or off-road vehicles, but I am seeing more and...

Will the real 2011 RW385 please stand up!!!

Yeah I know I'm dating myself with the title, but anyway. However, in doing an...

I think this fits here, question about Hydra Motorcycle lifts

Well gang...looks like a new rig is on hold due to irreconcilable differences between asthetics and economics, if only there was a rig with the bed/bath layout of the 281 + Kitchen/Living layout of the 385 + 10ft Garage (with no separating wall to living area)...all in a mid-30's (35-38ft)...
