I haven't seen them in a NT but my 2010 Sunset Trail had close-able vents. They basically looked the same but had little wings you could pinch close.

Personally, I love the outdoor kitchen on the 32buds. It was one of the selling points for me. With five of us, it gets cramped inside. Not a lot of space in the inside kitchen. I'd much rather cook outside. I guess it comes down to personal preference but for me it's a no-brainer.
