My parents 2012 F450 FX4 Crew Cab Long bed does 24,xxx with 5th wheel towing. Bed payload capacity of 5,xxx. I'm sure a F450 could haul a trailer with a GVWR of 24,000 lbs.

My parents 2012 F450 FX4 crew cab, long bed, dually has a curb weight of approximate 8,100 pounds. I have no idea how a similar sized truck can weigh 2 tons more??? Edit. Thinking the wrong thing. I was thinking curb weight, not GVWR. So, GVWR would be curb weight plus max truck payload...

A random question. Do diesel pushers/coaches do better than a 5th wheel in winter conditions? Are the diesel pushers more insulated to cold weather, like plumbing and water tanks? Less prone to things freezing?
