If you give size of your tires, I will make you a pressure/axleload list, with maximum reserve build in for load and speed, but still no screws trembling loose.
Then when you weighed, or read GAWR, yust look back in my list and use that cold psi.
If 110 psi is the highest pressure for max reserve, with still no screws trembling loose, wich I can calculate for you, you can yust let the pressure change with the temperature.
If tirefailure, real reason is a to natures law to low pressure for the real load on tire and speed used.
110 psi...
You should calculate it whit my motorhome-tire-pressure-calculator, in wich I give not a minimum advice , but one with as much possible reserve that still has acceptable comfort and gripp.
so give the details of tires and vehicle , and I will make a picture of the filled in spreadsheet.
to give...
I can write it all again , but better look at this link to Airstream forum, where I come in .
Then if there are still questions , you can ask them here.
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f438/nitrogen-for-tires-122522-5.html
End conclusion is that almost every selling argument can be de-mithed or...
I can calculate a pressure for you with use of spreadsheet I made.
Then an advice wich leaves some reserve for things like pressure loss in time, unequall loading R/L , but still no bumping.
But need GAWR's and GVWR of your TV but better weighed seperate wheel( pair) loads, or else axle...
To make things clearer , I made a new picture , in wich cold is cold pressure ( so inside and outside the tire the same temperature), and warm is warm, so the smaller written dark green fields.
But about the needed pressure , TwoToes writes that is does not have to be exact, and it even may...
What my picture shows is that if you have fillled at 80 degr F a pressure of 80 psi , then at 24 dgr F it will be that 70.2 so the 70 that topicstarter measured.
So the pressure lowering is only courced by the temperature lowering, so no leaking in that period.
So if the temperature gets that 80...
I once made a spreadsheet to play with the pressures and see wat it does to the temperature and the other way around.
Here a picture wich prooves that it can get that low.
Fooled the program a little with filling cold in the place of warm and around.
Best is to fill cold now at 80 psi , then...
Re: The Towmax tire that didn't blow...
ST tires with 80 psi pressure written on sidewall , are allowed to be filled to 90 psi so 10 psi higher.
This is prescribed for higher speed then 65m/h but who does that. But it proves that you are allowed to fill that 10 psi higher.
Now for this sise...
Once made a spreadsheet for it .
in part one pressure calculation with the same formula as the European tyre makers use.
In part 2 you can play with the inside tyre temperature to see what it does to the pressure.
Also you can chanche the outside pressure in milibar.
In part 3 you can give one...
What does MPG stand for ?
If this is the same situation as for topicstarter, a upgrade would be wise, thoug the C-load can do.
I made 2 pictures for the C-and the D load in my caravan/trailer tyrepressure calculator, hope I can place them here after 2 posts.
Otherwise the link to the map on my...
But if you already have a comfortable reserve , you dont have to change.
For that you only have to read the data of the tires and vehicle, not so difficult I think.
Tires on the sidewall and vehicle on a metalisch plate somewhere .
In Europe it has to be on the vehicle and saw it called a...
I registered to this forum to give information.
Once got hold of the formula, the European tyre-makers use to determine advice-pressures and went running with it.
Learned myself Excell to make spreadsheets for it , and translated a few from Dutch to English to go worldwide with it.
Now I...
