The pressure regulator maintains appliance at 9.5 inches w.c., this is approx. 1/3 of 1# psi, the standing pressure in the lp bottle can run as high as 120# psi, if you bypass the regualtor you will damage all the gas valve on your appliances and when the appliance turns on your rv will catch on...
We picked up the 5er from Heartland repair in Elkhart, they welded gussets on the frame and welded the aluminum sidewall framing. They had to pull the nose cap and cover around hitch. They did a good job, my unit is 5 years old and they covered it completely. The guys at the repair shop are...
Called customer service and set up appointment for the first of Nov., 2012. They said they will keep it for a week, I am happy they are going to take care of this, they seem to know what's wrong so we'll see!!!!!
Re: pinbox tied to frame
Called customer service and took a lot of pics they wanted, e-mailed to them. They e-mailed and said they will fix the problem, we are taking the coach to Elkhart on 11/5/2012. They said Heartland will repair it and cover the cost. What more can you ask for!!! ;)
Re: pinbox tied to frame
I'm having the same trouble with my 2008 3600RL, in fact, the fiberglass side, above the bedroom side-out has a crack that goes from the upper rear corner towards the roof. Do I have the same frame as the 3670? I watched the pin box and the overhang and I have between...
Our 2008 Bighorn 3600RL rear window seal or gasket, keeps coming out. I have pushed it back into place but it seems to work out. It appears to be shrinking because the ends don't meet anymore. Any thoughts or experiences:rolleyes:
We had to replace springs also, our 2008 Bighorn 3600RL, after much research and help from all the guys on this Heartland site, I decided to replace my springs with the same weight rating as the old ones. My old springs were so bad they were shaped in a "W" shape, I purchased new springs...
We are planning to go to the gulf coast late april-early may. Would like to see New Orleans then drive east to Flordia. Prefer to camp on the coastal water or close to the beaches. I've read that you need to be careful oround New Orleans camping and touring. Any suggestions or tips will be...
Does anyone have a recommendations for camping in the area around Pigeon Forge Tn., We are planning to stay there in late Aug., Or does anyone have a RV park they wouldn't stay in. We have a Bighorn, 3600RL, fifth wheel. 4 slides. I'm hearing the campsites are small and some you can't even get...
I have direct tv at home and a portable set-up for the 5'er, both dish network and direct tv set up about the same at the campground. I got the larger dish so I can get the local channels, direct tv requires a larger dish to do this as dish network uses the same sizedish outside. I have a DVR...
I finally had a chance to weigh my 2008 3600RL fifth wheel. the front axle was 5820# and the rear was 5920#, even if the holding tanks were full I don't see why to upsize to 4000# springs verses my orginal 3500# springs. I don't want the trailer riding too stiff, do you think the new spring will...
I had been e-mailing to Lippert and dealing with Lisa. Her last e-mail said they are waiting for me to tell what parts I need and they will send them. It looks like I should upsize to 4000# springs, my concern is that Lisa said it may causr the frame to camber(frame bending) from too stiff of a...
I e-mailed Lippert again and responded right away, they said a serviceman e-mailed me in january 2010 for a shipping address to send new parts. I didn't see the e-mail or get a phone call, but it seems they are ready to resolve the problem now. My original e-mail was in January 2010. They are...
We have a 2008 3600RL, does anyone know how high the front jacks can go? Is there a stop or a line on the jack to know when it's at the end? My wife thinks they will fall out and I can't really say they won't, I would think there is a safty stop or something. Thanks, Steven J.
Thanks for that advice about the weighing of the axles, I think I'll do that this spring and check the weights of each axle and pin weight. Thanks to all who responded with advice, it really helps give direction.:)
The equalizer is what caught my attention becaused they are always tipped towards the front. But this is always after I backed it into the parking spot so I figured that was why. As far a cargo goes, we don't really have anything in the back past the kitchen. The kitchen has your general amount...
I posted a thread at Heartland General Forum about weak springs. I figured it just wasn't a Bighorn problem. I also posted pics of my springs there also. I purchased my Bighorn 3600RL in May of 2007 so it's probably out of warranty. Wouldn't Heartland or Lippert stand behind this?
The fourth pic is the right side and the others are the left side. I was closer to that left side with the camera. Shouldn't these springs already be 3500# with 7000# axles?
weak springs?
I crawled under our 2008 Bighorn 3600RL, and took some pics of my springs. They are Lippert 7K and they look like they are overloaded, flat and have some reverse bow, but I didn't see any breaks in them. Please take a look at the pics and tell me if this is...
On my 3600RL I noticed the the center swivel for the leaf springs is tipped towards the front. It's like most of the weight is on the front axle. This is setting level on cement. It seems it should be pointed approx. straight down or it should look like the front and rear spring is carrying the...
Auto-changeover
The auto change-over valve, as I understand, will change from one tank to the other when that tank becomes empty. or when the LP pressure drops. If you check the red-green indiacator and it is red, then the tank that the valve handle is pointed to is empty but you shouldn't be...
We are on our third year with our 08 Bighorn 3600RL and I noticed that the outer slide rubber seal doesn't always point out after the slide goes out. On one slide it was half pointed out and half pointed in. You can run your finger down it and get to point out. It looks like the rubber seal is...
On my 08 bighorn 3600RL my regulator would drain both tanks regardless of where the lever was set. I replaced it under warranty and the new one does the same. I never had the lever pointed straight up, but had it boths ways and had the same results. Also I noticed the gas would seep out the...
Beetle, I have a generator hook-up in the front compartment, you can put one there but you'll have install a transfer switch or install a receiving plug like the one you use now.
I have a 2008 3600RL, going into our 3rd summer and had a tire issue, The tire bubble on the side so I put the spare on. They are LT235/85R16 tires. Should I replace all four or just the bad one. Has onyone had similar issues with Goldway and who is Goldway anyway. Thanks, Steven J.:)
olevia tv
Well I'll try some open back panel surgery and hope for a loose wire, I know I'd have a better chance at the lottery but it's worth a shot. I'll let ya know how it works out.
My 26" LCD TV won't turn on any more. I gone thru the check list of making sure it has power to the outlet, tried a different cord, checked the switch, ect. I called the company and they trouble shooted a few things, they didn't work so they transferred me to a tech. The tech said that Olevia...
Tires
Well, this is our 3rd year with the 08 3600RL, and I thought I would miss out on the tire issues until this weekend. One left rear has a buldge on it. I put on the spare. They are Goldway LT235/85R16, YTR05 tires on 7 spoke aluminum rims. Are these the china bombs you are talking about...
It looks like you have the ultimate puller. What kind of mileage do you get,(if you don't mind my asking). Yeah, I've looked at new trucks and I can do a lot to the one I have and still be better off. I will know what I have. I usually pull at 68 mph in overdrive. It runs pretty decent even on...
I have a 08 Bighorn 3600RLNone, but my 2003 Ford F-250 crew cab 7.3 diesel doesn't. The RV weight rating says I'm fully loaded,(11,700# dry weight plus cargo), I think I'm overloaded. My transmission went out last Aug. 08 after about approx. 2000 miles of towing, did a total rebuild and built it...
