I found ruptures in the fiberglass skin of my 2012 Cyclone 4014. Location is the forward, bottom corner of the front bedroom slide. It's very near the pin box on the driver's side (there's another thread detailing the damage that I can see). As an engineer, I'm thinking the absolute worst...
These Dometic units aren't really serviceable from what I understand. When I called Dometic to ask about getting a service manual, I was told that they don't have one... I explained that I wanted it for my HVAC professional

I'm not familiar with the structure under the skin. I initially thought "frame" and the other item that was mentioned was "aluminum tubes." Do the aluminum tubes run vertical or horizontal? Doesn't Lippert make all the steel chassies? Any structure added is Heartland? Thanks to all for the...
A crack / rupture has developed in the lower front corner of my bedroom / bed slide, forward on the driver's side. It is nearly identical with where my tailgate is on my truck. I checked - there was no impact between the top of the top of the truck bed and the bottom of the trailer. I called...
I completely empathize with you. I work for the military - and I really expected the equivalent of an Operator's or Technical Manual (TM) when I shelled out big dollars. Nothing even comes close. The only company that I know of that will share schematics freely is Winnebago ( i have poked...
There is NO WAY that I can install this without pulling the fridge out of the slide into the cabin 😡. In the meantime, I'll try this

That could've been my plan until everything started to break as I took the insect screen out. Brittle, uv-damaged plastic was crumbling in my hands. All of the locking tabs broke and I'm no happy with the fan performance, so I'll take the gamble

My bathroom roof vent lid got blasted in a recent storm - 2 fist-sized holes! Made a temporary repair with some beautiful, colorful duct tape that the Mrs had stashed in her craft kit. The original was crappy/cheap and began crumbling when I tried to remove the screen... Time for a...
I just replaced mine with another progressive dynamics less than 2 weeks ago. Easy replacement - got 5 years out of the first one and think I fried it long ago - running gennie while on shore power!

You'd like to think an investment like this is assembled by somebody who would want to live in it because they were so proud of their work. Nor always true.

Just watched 2 videos about it on YouTube. One install in a 17 ft. travel trailer and another in a Bighorn. Go to YouTube and search "gree mini split camper" and enjoy

Just went an entire week w/o ac at Lake George, NY due to electrical issues. Thankful that it was ~60 overnight! Good luck to you.

I ordered the Dometic fan assembly kit - a 12v 120mm² x 38mm computer fan with brackets and a thermostat. Should help cooling regardless of heat source.

Unplugged the electric today since the plug warmed a little to the touch. Replacing the auto xfer switch when I return home, at which time I'm checking all the connections at the shore power cable and breaker panel.

I've got a 2011 mfg Dometic RM1350 4-door fridge in a 2012 Cyclone 4014. I had the electricity off today for about 6 hours (for other problems) and noticed the temperature of the refrigerator dropped on propane (~39°F). The temp climbs a few degrees on the electricity (~45°). I'm in Upstate NY...
Been running an a/c to keep the humidity down and I've been checking the plug temperature at the pole every few hours. In the past day or so, the plug has gotten no warmer than ambient to the touch.

I've noticed that the 50 amp plug (at the pole) gets warm when using one of 2 air conditioners. Thinking it's because of a loose connection somewhere - at the breaker panel or even the ac. Anyone have similar issues to point me in the right direction?

I've got a Cyclone 4014 and 6 Maxxis 8008 series tires on it. Do yourself a favor and replace all those crap tires. They are only good enough to get the rig from manufacture to your dealer.

Re: Performance Dynamics 50 Amp Transfer Switch
I'm generally a fan of better individual components in lieu of the Swiss Army knife solution.

Re: Performance Dynamics 50 Amp Transfer Switch
I've clearly got some refresher reading to do over the next few weeks. Thank you.

Mine has mostly failed and is due for replacement. I have a 2012 Cyclone 4014 and it came stock with the Pd52. I have no ectrical protection and want to replace this with a current model. I notice there are new versions that offer electrical protection - is there a benefit to one of these over a...
1. Outside lights above front and rear entry doors, and 2. Awnings that cover the front and rear entry doors. I have a 2012 mdl 4014 and would like #1. My pal has 2013 4250 (with side deck) and the awnings break over the front entry door. (#2)

I recommend the Maxxis 8008 series. I have 6 on a Cyclone toy hauler and I'm religious about checking pressures before we roll. It's a rate occurrence for them to drop 1psi from trip to trip. I've got about 6k miles on them in 2 years with nothing but good news.

Sounds very familiar. Replaced my Anderson valve free-of-charge after a call to them with same symptoms. Problem solved. You'll also want to check your water pump if I recall. The check valve could have failed, causing water to choose the wrong path to tank instead of just plumbing on city...
I have a Cyclone with a 5500 watt Cummins Onan unit (gasoline) but think you'll be strictly on propane since the trailer already has that. Cummins Onan makes 5500 and 6500 watt propane gensets for rvs. I don't know if any other brands for rv installation in the states.
