If you go to the Custer Battlefield in Montana, stay at the 7th Ranch RV park. It's closest to the battlefield and a great place to stay. The sites are level gravel, lots of room and a lot of them have mature trees for shade, quiet because it is off the highway so no heavy traffic, no cable...

We have Verizon broadband for $50 plus tax of course. Been with Verizon when it was MCI-no complaints and the broadband is more secure than a campground wifi where anyone can hack into it. We don't want any multiple connection devise because in my opinion there is more room for things to go...

I'm going to check out Lowe's, that sounds like its just what we want. I always freeze water bottles and keep them on hand. As it melts, we have water without the extra blue freezer containers bouncing around that we don't know what to do with.

What size freezer? We looked at a 5.0 and it was too big. Thinking about a 3.? Where did you find it?

For snoring---there is always the sofa LOL

I don't know if this is the right place for my question but has anyone used the washer/dryer space in the closet for a small freezer? I have read a lot about the noise and inconvience of having the washer/dryer in the bedroom and thought a small freezer would be better. Any ideas or thoughts?

We use Alternative Resources in Sioux Falls. Very friendly and helpful. We decided to go there after we compared registration fees from the state we lived. We went full time, sold our house and signed a statememt that we would live in South Dakota when we decide to give up full timing.

We are full-timers and workampers. We travel about every 6 months to a new job in a state we want to visit. Best of both worlds-get to travel, free sites and most times get paid.

We love our Elkridge, just had a few new unit "bugs" to work out but that is to be expected. We got rid of the king mattress because it just wasn't enough room to move comfortably around the bed. We are full-timers so comfort is essential.

Thanks everyone! I guess I don't hold the knob in long enough so I'll try that and maybe I won't get all the blood rushing to my head. I'll get the morror finish item too, can't be too thourough.:)

Is there such a thing as an oven that can be lit by ignition spark like the stove top? If not, why? If yes, where can I find it? We have a L shaped kitchen and it's hard to light the oven without almost standing on my head and holding in the pilot for what seems like an hour and then the...

Re: Rod Hanger We are using the washer/dryer area as an extension of the closet and to keep the weight from pulling on the rod we got a long 2 x 4 and put a notch on one end and put it under the rod to support it. Works fine and doesn't pull on the upper shelf ...

I understand what you mean - but - for those of us that are vertically challanged we have to stand on the steps to reach the latch in the first place and a switch a little higher up and on the same side as the door latch would be a help.( Kinda like a light switch in a house that is on the same...

Found it!!!!! Thanks everyone, it is the light above the door, but I have to say that is a heck of a place for a switch for an inside light. Maybe its just me, but isn't it a bit awkward? I would think it should be at least eye level.

Hi all, we have a 2012 Elkridge 34TSRE and are really scratching our heads about the switch beside the breaker box just inside the door. Its a double switch and one works the light under the outside steps but what is connected to the other one?? Nothing lights up when we flip it on. Someone told...

I personally think any rv designer has to live in one for at least a year before making a floor plan. Maybe then they will put the tv where a person can watch it without making an appointment with a chiropractor (?) for a stiff neck for one thing. They would have to try out all the appliances...

Re: Awningc problem... where to ask? Its currently in so not a big worry, just frustration that the darn thing won't work. We had a few glitches in other things but that's kinda expected for anything new. Most of the time we don't extend it because of wind anyway. Thanks for the feedback.

Here is the finished project. We got rid of the riser for the tv, it didn't work half the time anyway. Found the bookcases at Walmart and cut them down to size. We cut the top of the old workstation in half and used it for the top of the bookcases. We narrowed the couch to fit between the slides...

Has anyone else had this problem? When we start our ac it sucks up the odor from the black water pipe and sends it inside our unit. We have tried several different kinds of products to eliminate the smell but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I found this kit at Sams Club. It comes with everything including grout, trowel and even a tape measure! There was enough to do the bathroom after I finished with the kitchen. It comes in 2 different colors with randomly spaced tiles of copper. The cost was about $60 if I remember right.

Thanks, that's something we don't usually think about. :o We might keep the small sofa for a while, it's the same width as the fireplace. Then maybe a futon? Don't know yet, we just want to be sure that everything else is ok first.

We are full timers so we want to be comfortable in our home. Under our picture window is a computer desk, fireplace, stereo, and tv that is hidden when not in use. The sofa is on the kitchen slide. We want to do this: get rid of the computer desk, move the rest of the things to the kitchen...

Actually it was in a fifth wheel we traded in for the Elkridge but I'm going to do it to this one too. We kept the day night shades for added insulation in extreme weather but hardly used them at all after we went to the thermal drapes. You can find them at Walmart.

We took down the valances, installed fancy curtain rods and used the room darkening thermal grommet drapes. Easy to pull close and blocks out the heat or cold.
