We understand aging parents. Cook dinner for dad 5 nights a week and drive to medical apts. lucky to have a brother to cover for trips. Still selling off "stuff" weeding out what we do and don't need. Simplify life is our goal along with enjoying the present moment! Can't say I miss cutting grass.
Although we actually started living in our Bighorn two weeks ago we still kept it at our house. Selling and giving away 27 years of "stuff" has been a daunting task. Today we leave the homestead and start a exciting new chapter. Still working, we have decided to simplify life. Very excited!
Thanks. Really need to get into the into the information age. Wife got the mini but no clue about GPS. Need to check that out. Missed a turn at a RV park over the weekend, our Nav app on phone was off by a half mile. Thankfully able to back up.
BHWe are new only 3 trips pulling our 3610 BH. Our Dodge Ram 2500 (diesel) short bed with a Husky 26000# hitch has been problem free turning and backing.
We have a Dodge 2500, diesel. After our first two shake down trips with our 3610 RL we were considering a new truck. After reading on the forum we had Firestone ride rite air bags installed. Huge improvement! Beyond riding level, that "mushy" feeling is gone.
Good information. Thanks. We are new, on our third adventure this weekend. During our orientation the dealer stressed so hard how fraigle, and expensive to repair / replace the awning is we have been using it very little. Seems to bounce with little wind. We were told not to tie it down. Will...
Need to do a exact measurment! 13 6 is pretty close. Looks high from the drivers seat! Had to trim trees to get out of the camp ground last weekend. Thanks for the link.
Good idea to feel comfortable with what ever you choose. Its a personal decision to have one or not. A pump shotgun is hard to beat for general purpose and just the sight of may be enough.
So my husband and I are very new to RVing we have been out twice, loved it. Just wanted to know if anyone had any thoughts on the RV GPS is it worth getting?
First time with a 5th Wheel. Truck mirrors are just to short to see much. Looked at Camping world and found suction cup add on mirrors, & clip on mirrors. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
Happy to say our first adventure was a lot of fun and without any big mishaps. Certanly need to make a few adjustments in our routine. Our Dodge Ram needs longer mirrors. I had installed a backup camera but its not enough. Blew three fuses with the new tire pump. Thinking we may have air bags...
Thanks, Love the land Yacht! Have a first draft of departure and arrival check list. Doing the close thing as a shake down cruise so to speak to keep the anxiety part low. Don't want to make any big mistakes. Will post how it goes.
We purchased a Bighorn 3610RE after looking at a lot of units but knowing nothing about them. We have owned boats for years but this is completely new to us. We "practiced" camping in our yard last weekend to advance our "learning curve" but this weekend we are taking our first adventure away...
