Alley back or alley dock is basically backing into space from a 90 degree angle, like backing into a camp spot. Here's a youtube video of a semi doing it.

In Rancho San Diego, they tell you that you can line up anywhere in the cones, then proceed to...
I would not take this for granted. I took the test in Rancho San Diego a while back and was asked who my escort was and if they were properly licensed. The examiner did not check though. As for the actual test, it is a scaled down version of the commercial test. For the skills test, you have...
Thanks everyone for the tips and suggestions. Grabbed a friend and we were able to lift the upper bunk to the top position and pinned it there at which point I was able to run the lower bunk up and down a few cycles. Then with lower bunk also at the top position, unpinned the upper bunk and...
Thanks for the tip Dloebrich. Battery switch is on and battery fully charged, plus shore power. I even tried firing up the gen this morning to see if that would make a difference but no luck. Window blinds and chords also out of the way. I'm stumped.
Hi All.
Been a while since I've posted but do check in on everyone's adventures on a regular basis.
Basically the title of my post explain it all. When I go to retract/lift the HappicJac bunks in the garage, the lower moves up and down in it's range just fine but when going up, when lower...
On my Cyclone, the middle connection in the UDC feeds the basement connector on the door side of the rig. I was told by Heartland and have personally confirmed since, there is no satellite connection in the bedroom.

Beautiful rig Al. Glad to hear the maiden voyage went well. The invite for Ocotillo Wells this weekend is still open. We are loaded up and ready to go.

Model number has nothing to do with the licensing requirement. It is based on the GVW of the trailer. 15,001 lbs. and up requires Class A, commercial or non commercial license in California.
They give you a fair amount of room for the alley dock. If I remember right, it was about 15 feet wide, maybe a little more. Also, you do not have to do it in one shot. You are allowed to pull forward to re-align if necessary. You can do this up to five times assuming you are not docked for...
Hi Al,
Just wondering if you called the Lancaster test site to confirm if you actually need an escort? Good to hear it straight from the horses mouth.
Frank
I'm bummed. The wife and I were really looking forward to this rally since we couldn't make the SoCal rally earlier this year. Turns out we can't make this one either. We will be out of town that weekend :(
Hope everyone has a great time. We'll be thinking of you.

Re: Odd Drivers License Question
Ladiver,
What part of California are you in? I have a Non Commercial Class A and would be willing to help you get to the drive test assuming you are within a reasonable distance. I am in north San Diego. If you have any questions about the test itself, let...
Hi Art/Kelly,
I bought the u-bolts on-line unfortunately I don't remember where. Do a search on square bend u-bolts and you should come up with a few sources. Sorry I can't be more help.
Frank
Hi All,
You guys are killing me. Sounds like it's going to be a fun weekend. Sorry we can't be there. We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers for our daughter. She will pull through. It will just take some time.
Our ex site is now available if someone wants to move.
Have a great time...
Hi All,
Looks like Claudine and I will have to cancel out of this weekend. Our oldest daughter had an ATV accident over this past weekend and is currently in the hospital. I will be releasing our site (349) probably Wednesday sometime so if anyone wants to take it, PM me your phone number and...
I thought I read somewhere here on the forum that there is no ladder for the garage bunks due to safety issues. My 3612 came with a ladder but it is meant for the loft bed in the living area.
Frank
Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I did some calling around yesterday and it pretty much came down to "we need to see it to be sure" if the G614s will fit. Most said that with less than 3 inches in between the tires, they would not advise it but that it was my decision to make. I guess...
This time regarding dimensions. I know I've seen this discussion before somewhere on the forum but I'm not finding it at the moment so I will ask again. I will be changing out my Blow Max 235/80R16s in the very near future. Based on the many posts regarding tires, it appears the big three are...
Like New Flag Pole Buddy with 12 foot mast, flag, all hardware and mounting instructions. I only had this kit mounted on my Sundance for one season. I think I only flew the flag twice and it still has its original creases from when it was packaged. Since I no longer have the Sundance and do...
I don't have a 4100 but on my 3612, satellite did not work either when I first got it. I have two sat. inputs in the UDC, which I assumed one was for living room and the other the bedroom. Neither connection worked in either location. Pulled the basement wall to get behind the UDC and it...
Congrats on your 3712 and welcome to the forum BIGRIGFORUS. We ended up going with the 3612 and are happy with our choice. It's been a year since I first posted this but what we were hoping for at the time was that the 3712 would have the extra half bath like some of the bigger Cyclones. When...
As I mentioned in another post, I contacted Heartland about a month or so ago attempting to get the most current drawing for my 3612. I forget who it was but he sent me the same 2008 version saying that is what the still follow today. Ya right. Mine is not even close. And yes, I also had a...
Another big thanks to Bob and Patty for putting together the rally. We also had a great time getting to know everyone and are looking forward to doing it again. While Chris and Carol my now be known as an SOB, you can call us "the real Frank and Claudine." If anyone runs into our ultra egos...
