I am looking at a Honda Metropolitan for my upcoming conversion to full time camping. My question is can I transport the scooter with a long bed truck with the scooter secured in the front of the bed? I am looking to this with either a RAM or GMC 3500.
I just purchased a new 2017 Bighorn a month ago and am looking to fulltime in a year and a half. I am looking to put a system on the back to carry a small Honda like scooter. Is it possible first? And if so what recommendations are there for one that will work.

We forgot to unplug the space heater and started the microwave. The outlets went out. We checked every fuse and tried to reset the gfi outlet and still nothing. No fuzes are blown. This is our first trip with this unit. Any suggestions
Just picked it up Saturday and was looking at the place that says wall mount here. It seems hollow right behind that area. The guy doing the walk through said that's just the center...it is 8 inches up and down from there. What mummy do you suggest? I think I would put in no more than a 24...
Re: Upgrading from a 2013 24rbs to a 2016 30rkdd
I was going to sign on it today but now my wife says from the pictures that the bedroom looks too small. I will wait for the unit to come in before I buy it. Probably makes sense anyway. I have never towed a trailer as long as this...
We have found the 24 a little two tight with our two dogs and if we have guests. We have searched high and low for the right replacement camper. My dealer proposed this as a good alternative to what we are looking for. I didn't want one with bunks. We were considering the 29ss, but the bunks...
I was just quoted a price that would raise my payment about $20 per month. I think I can make up for that easily in gas savings especially when pulling. Just wish there was someone out there with real mileages to look at.
Thanks for all the advice
I am looking at a 2014 Dodge 1500 Big Horn edition. I am wondering if anyone out there has one and what kind of mileage you are getting. I pull a 24RBS that is around 6500 lbs loaded. With the Nissan I have been getting between 8 and 10 MPG. If the Dodge gets 14-16 pulling I would be way...
We are about to take our first trip including bikes. I am planning on using bungee cords and am looking at the Blue tie downs they have at walmart. I am wondering what others use.

It took the dealer two days to locate the problem. It was a ground at the slide itself. The service guy said it had him stumped for a while. Thanks again for all your suggestions. This is a great forum.
An update....my dealership has suggested jumping the breaker....he was not sure which one was the one that controls the slide....I just don't want to break something or have the slide open and then not be able to close it.......can I wreck anything if I jump a circuit that's already live?

Just got to the campground on my first trip with a 2013 24 rbs and the slide will not work. Fuze is not blown and there is no red light when we pull out the fuse like with the others....any ideas?

Re: Slam Latch door not staying shut
I propped it up about 1/4 inch and it now latches. I just need to brace it better. I am going to run a bead of weather stripping calk around it to make sure it seals.
I took delivery of my 24RBS in a snow storm and missed the fact that my outside compartment door will not stay closed when locked. You can pull on it and it opens. I am going to put a couple washers under the closing side latch to fix the problem. My question is since there is a gasket on the...
It seems like there is a very big gap from the bottom of the door to where the latch should connect. I just wish my dealership wasnt an hour away.....lol
Well it made it home in a snow storm. Pulled very well. Only one problem,,,,got it back to storage and the front compartment will lock but you can pull the compartment open. Snowing to hard to see what's wrong.
I am going to purchase tomorrow. Two more questions.
1) On my shamrock I have the power vents both in the living area and bathroom. This only has power vent in the bathroom.
2) Should I get the slide awning?

I was told not to attach a bike rack to the back of my shamrock. I had purchased a trailer hitch adaptor but never used it because of the warnings. With the way this bumper seems to be attached can I now use the trailer hitch adaptor and by bike rack"
Anyone with this unit what are you thoughts. I am trading a 2013 Shamrock 21dk that I bought in August for this. We didn't like the tent ends and that it was hard to sleep in overnight at truck stops. I am getting a pretty good deal on the unit.
How secure are bikes strapped o the rear...
