No power to multiple outlets. Resolved.

Re: No power to multiple outlets I would like to suggest that you do a through test/check of the neutral circuit. This summer while on a trek to Alaska, we had a similar electrical problem. I found the neutral contact lug nut on the main relay burnt. We were miles from nowhere in northern...

    Inverter Power sometimes Trips GFI

I had an pure sinewave inverter & solar panel/regulator installed on our last rig. Also installed was an automatic switch-over relay to isolate the electrical sources. (shore power, generator, inverter) Even with all that safety I still had to pull (de-energize) the circuit breakers for the...

    Leaking water in underbelly

We had a huge nightmare with water leaks. Virtually every water connection throughout the unit (hot and cold) were not even hand tight. The drains (sinks and shower) had no seals installed and were all loose. All connections leaking. Took me nearly two days to find these connections and tighten...

    Battery Goes dead over night

Hi - welcome. You didn't mention whether you were plugged into a 120vac power source. If you are plugged in there is an output from your converter that will trickle charge your battery (batteries). If that's the case & you are plugged in, then you might want to check your converter circuit...

I've been using 303 over the past five years and am very pleased with the results. I too found that less is best.

    Plumbing nightmare

Well, after a little more than two years with about 7000 miles on the unit, the kitchen sink (dual) dropped out of its mounting. Thank goodness the drain pipes were strong enough to hold the sink from completely falling as it was empty. Here's what I found. The sink was held in place by silicon...

    New Bighorn

Something doesn't seem right here. I've never seen an "HEHR" window, installed by Heartland, with the window screws installed from the outside. If your unit came that way, I would suspect that the windows are not original and not sealed correctly.

    Exterior Wall Crack

To me, that crack looks like there's a serious problem with frame welding/assembly. You will have to remove the panelling underneath the overhang as I don't think you be able to see much of the frame from the forward storage compartment. Repairing that crack in the gelcoat/fiberglass will also...

Caulking the gutter where two sections meet

Here's what I did. Cleaned the inside and outside of the gutter with white gas (Coleman fuel). Took a small piece of wax paper and put it over the gap on the outside, holding it in place with masking tape. Using a small amount of white self leveling sealing caulking on the inside of the gutter...

BH 3670 Radius Roof Edges Popping Up?

Had a look at mine this afternoon. The corners appear to be what I would consider normal. Not bubbled up like your pictures indicate. Mind you, I'm sitting here north of the Canada/USA border and the temp. is around 57*F.

    Wheel bearings and seals

We have a 09 - BH3370 as well and had the bearings cleaned in a hot tank, inspected (they were ok) and repacked with "Pro-Ma" grease. I replaced the bearing grease seals using Raybestos #761-5605.

    More on Mor/Ryde..

The grease would not go through 3 of the grease fittings until I took the complete trailer weight off of the suspension system, using a hand held grease gun. I'm using "Pro-Ma" grease which was designed to be used in the gold mines of Australia, in the conveyor belt bearings that are moving 24/7...

positioning jack under a Big Horn 3185RL

I would never, ever work near or under a vehicle that is not supported to the fullest degree possible. What would happen if a landing gear leg broke, collapsed or the jack malfunctioned while having the unit supported with just an axle? Safety first is your first concern. My TV would...

    Axles

Recently on a weekend outing, on my walk-a-around I noticed the chrome hubcap on one of the wheel rims loose. I checked the stud nuts torque and all was ok. Took the wheel off and found the small metal tabs on the hubcap flattened out. Put the wheel and hubcap back on and tightened the stud...

    Slide flooring delaminating

Has anyone had a problem with the exterior plywood under the Off Doorside and Doorside slides delaminating? I'm very concerned that I won't be able to open the slides once I've closed them. :( The delamination is quite extensive to our 2009-3370RL.

    check u bolt torque

thanks This thread sure has been helpful. Went and checked the torque and found 7 nuts loose. I've re-torqued to the correct value and checked all others. Also had the Mission Tires balanced. Each tire took over 5 ounces of lead and the weights had to be installed on both sides of the rims...

    Discovered fire hazard?

Electrical/Plumbing QC Well, here's a new post. These pictures are what I encountered in our new 2009 BH 3370RL. I don't think QC has improved over the last two years. The first one is the original position of the converter. You can barely see it, (it's mounted on the floor) let alone get...

    front landing gear problems

I don't think that tech had safety on his mind. You cannot see that worm gear and consequently don't know what condition it's in. You should never work/crawl under a unit without it being properly supported and secured from moving. It just takes a couple of minutes to hook up to the TV and/or...

    front landing gear problems

Here's what happened to us. Our 3370RL Bighorn is brand new and had only used it 3 times, which meant the landing gear had extended 6 times and retracted 6 times. Only the almighty knows how many times the landing gear had been used after manufacture and delivery date to us. I know how to...

    BH 3670 Bathroom Door

Bathroom Door We have a 3370RL and both doors for the bathroom are sliders (one a pocket door). There must have been a design change in 09. You might have to re-align the door frame with small shims to square it to the proper door size. Hope this helps.

    Halftime/Microwave Quits

I'd have someone check the circuit breaker. There is the possibility that it's to weak (old age, defective manufacturing, etc.) Also, maybe the airconditioner and the micro have somehow been hooked together electrically and are using the same circuit. That would "pop" the breaker for sure.

I can't find a thread on wiring a plug at home

use of proper wire size SilverRhino is totally correct here. Wire size has a huge bearing on the ability of the wire to safely carry the correct amperage you need over the distance you require. Please don't skimp - you will be very sorry  if you do.

Well, I have to disagree with you kakampers. I paid big bucks for a unit that wasn't constructed according to Heartland "Bighorn" construction book. Any experience with "Airtabs" or "vortex generators"

Don't know about "Air Tabs" but do know about "Vortex Generators". They are used on aircraft. Small strips of metal placed forward of the flaps and rudders. They are there to make the air dirty as it travels over the flap and rudder helping flight control. Bob
