Hello all, it's been awhile. While my Newport was having some repair work done at the factory in Elkhart, they replaced the master toilet. Not sure why they just didn't replace the flush valve. Anyway the toilet that they removed was the elongated type. They replaced it with a small round type...
Sorry to leave everyone who has tried to help me out hanging. We've been looking at properties in Tn. Been on the road a lot. I hope to get back to the valve problem soon.
I'll get some more pictures. Yes the shower valves work, I use them often. There's is a way to install the Anderson valve upside down. The pex lines are very short, no slack, so it's almost impossible to put them on the wrong side of the valve. At one point 2 weeks ago I tried every combination...
Yes your right. I did this once before. I probably need to go out and get some fittings and what not. I took some pictures, but there not very good.

Just got to a new campground. To answer your question, no the pump never builds pressure enough to shut off on the switch. You must physically turn the pump on if you want water, then you must shut it off when your done using whatever faucet or toilet you were using, otherwise it runs non stop...
If I'm not on city water, and I want water to come out of the faucet, or if I want to flush a toilet I have to turn the pump on, and when I'm done using the water I must turn the pump off manually again or the pump runs continuously.

Yes, I'm Damm sure it's not the valve. I...
Got off the phone with the HL REP today, and he informed me that it would be December before he could get us in. He says their booked solid. Lucky us. He's trying on an earlier date, but I don't think anything will come of that. Made a reservation in Tennessee for a month to let this thing play...
I'm definitely listening to all suggestions. Right now I'm still waiting for the head hancho to call me, and leteven know the details. I think at this point it might be better for us to start making our way north in a couple of days.
I'm also down here in NC trying to avoid the snow as long as I can. I've never towed in the snow before, and I don't think it's a good idea. Isn't it snowing up in Elkhart area already?
Camping world gave Heartland a ridiculous estimate for repairs, so now HL wants us to have the work done at the factory. They say they will pick it up at our location, and once done they will deliver it back to us. That's ok, but the problem is being fulltimers with 2 dogs, and no house to fly...
Thanks for the replies. I'm actually just to dang exhausted to tell them there wrong. Why do I have to explain to the service techs, and the service writers how to do their job. I mean basic troubleshooting for them . Jeez! So until today, they were basically telling me they couldn't do the...
Wow, I seriously need to do a spell check before I send. My bratwurst size fingers, and these microscopic keypads on these cell phones isn't actually working for me.
Here = Fletcher NC Camping World.
The service advisor here, srid if I was Fulltime in our RV, that if I tell that to Heartland they won't pay for the work. I thought Heartlands Landmark were touted as being a full time rig. Are they not standing by thst, our is it all just a bunch of BS? Inquiring minds want to know.
Been here at the Camping world in Asheville NC for 2 days, and although they have repaired several items for me, there still going back and fourth with heartland about what's actually broke underneath. Speculation on heartland part is a possible broken weld. It's going to require cutting the...
Mine has never worked right. I was sent the longer antenna and cable. I've had 5 false positive alarms, and usually at least one sensor doesn't read or both wheels on the same axle don't read, I usually get this (--- --- ---). I have the antenna pointed dowm, and on the bottom of the receiver...
No plans on doing that (trading in). We love this trailer, and this is really a stupid human problem from an un-trained rv thug. I don't hold Heartland responsible for this. It's hydraulics versus fiberglass. Guess who won? I've had a few issues before and Heartland got right on it. We full...
That makes sense. Especially since the day we took ownership of this brand new Landmark, the LV slide would not close all the way. The front portion was almost touching the side of the trailer but the rear portion of the slide was probably 5 inches from touching. The Goons at LA Mesa adjusted...
Opening our lr slide yesterday, and the outer seal near the top of the slide was caught be hide the slide. Upon getting the ladder out to pull the seal free I found a wonderful discovery.I'm afraid to use the slide now. I have an appt in Ashville, but that's 12 days from now and a lot of...
I figured the inverter was dedicated to the reefer. It does have an outlet on it for something else external. I've thought about the 2nd Honda gen, with the parallel cord, but not sure I want to spend an extra $1200.00 yet. Plus I'd have to store another gen. It was just a thought. I do however...
Does the inverter on the Newport 365 just run the refrigerator? I haven't boondocked yet, but if I did I was wondering what I could run off the inverter, or is it just for the reefer. Since this rig is pretty much all electric, and I only have a small Honda 2000 watt generator, pretty limited...
Tech came out today and said the pump and check valve is fine. The new 4 way valve is bad. Getting pretty tired of this. Heartland is sending me another one, and said they would test it first before they ship it. Hope to get it today and install this afternoon. Leaving the area tomorrow.
Ok, here is whats going on in my world. I installed the new Anderson 4 way water valve about 13 days ago. I changed it out while I was at a KOA CG. I had the valve in the city position since I was on city water. It worked fine and did not fill the water tank (which the old one did). I didn't try...
Re: Full-timing forum to be created here
Can Garry let me know if we can attend the rally in Tucsan? I don't plan on moving my coach, but would like to attend, and meet you folks.
Tom & Kim
The microwave/convection oven arrived yesterday from Heartland. It arrived on time exactly as they said it would. Installed it this morning, and it's working great.
Thank you Heartland! :-)
Re: Full-timing forum to be created here
Oh, aND by the way. We have been full-time now for 10 months, 27 states, and over 20,000 miles. Still going strong, and by no means tired of the life style or logistics of traveling at this pace. We are going to slow waaaay down this winter in Tucson...
Re: Full-timing Forum? Does anyone want it?
I think it's a great idea. We've only been at it for 10 months, but we have had to learn a lot in that time. I have used other forums for support, and to get some of the specific info needed. As anybody knows who is reading this particular thread...
