    Lithium Upgrade

I haven't taken the plunge to lithium yet but in reading up on things, it seems that the power being fed by way of the 7-pin plug is not sufficient to charge the lithium batteries while traveling, and being used for a residential refrigerator while on the road. Lots of posts indicating people...

Request: Landmark Arlington - slide in slide

Chief: Hope you get this resolved soon. My wife and I both liked the idea of a slide in a slide but stayed with what we had, just fearing what you are describing. I was worried about the extra weight and torque placed on those welds with the slides out. Best wishes.

    Portable generator questions

Can't speak for others but we had two of the little Honda EU2000 generators that we never grounded and had no problems with them on that issue. As for altitude, we are based at a little over 1000 msl and when we'd go to Albuquerque (5400 MSL), they would be a little difficult to start and...

    Generator overheating

Don't run Onan generators without the covers for extended periods of time - the covers are an integral part of the air flow control and without the cover installed, cooling air will not flow properly.

Kitchen Slide roller came out - how did you protect floor?

An update - took the coach to our local RV repair facility and they are unable to repair the roller damage - seems that it took out a good portion of the sub floor and they feel that there is not enough material to hold the roller in place and guarantee it won't do more damage. They did say...

Kitchen Slide roller came out - how did you protect floor?

Thank you all for your replies -- ended up using a couple of the slide-out slickers mentioned above and a larger 'For Sale' plastic sign we found at Home Depot to lay on top of them - worked like magic to bring in the slide. Just hope everything goes out as easily to be repaired. Again, thanks.

Kitchen Slide roller came out - how did you protect floor?

2015 Landmark 365 -- large kitchen slide with residential refrigerator. Heard a pop this evening when putting slide out and found a roller assembly sitting of the floor. Slide is out and we'll have to get it back in to move unit home before fixing it. What has anyone used to protect the floor...

    Power Cord Reel Motor Died

Bill: Thanks for the assistance. I'm using a 50Amp extension cord right now to power the coach off my 50amp home plug, that way I don't have to unwind the cord on the reel. All: My problem is I'm no longer that much of a mechanic - just looking at the reel I don't see how it comes out. The...

    Roof to sidewall sealant

We just had the Flex Armor roof sprayed on last week due to roof membrane glue giving out and roof ballooning up. Expensive, yes, a bit but not more than another TPO type roof and this one has lifetime warranty. Sure wish we had done it before we had the problem while traveling. We also hope...

    Power Cord Reel Motor Died

Appreciate all the help. Called Heartland, spoke with Kristi Edgier (I think that is the correct spelling for her last name) - regardless, the one i have in my coach is no longer made. She sent me a picture and model number for the current one. Am surprised by the PRICE - more than I expected...

2015 Landmark Keywest with electric cord reel. The motor has died - will not retract the 50 amp cord at all. Trying to find out the phone number to speak to Landmark customer service on how to get a new one. Will be done by local dealer but trying to get a part number / source before it end up...

Yes - battery cut-off switch is on. Even made sure that the little button on the one circuit breaker was not tripped. Still no joy.

120 V and 12 V issue -Not sure where to post

This past weekend took our 2015 Landmark to the football tailgate. Leveling jacks started their process but then stopped with 'low voltage' displayed. Batteries initially showed 3 dots out of four, now nothing at all. Residential refrigerator still running fine off the factory installed...

    Leveling Jack goes Down but...

Lou: I would agree with you last statement. Low on staff (as I'm assuming all are these days) and learning OJT. 150 miles to my selling dealer but I may set up an appointment with them to see if they can figure it out. I can lower that jack until it makes contact with the ground again. When I...

    Leveling Jack goes Down but...

Had dealer look into that - claimed all things passed tests. That said, I've noticed that it really isn't that the leveling jack goes down but when the leveling system raises the front, the jack doesn't stay on the ground- it doesn't go up - it rises as the coach rises. I just noticed that the...

    Leveling Jack goes Down but...

Have a 2015 Landmark 365 Key West with Lippert hydraulic leveling jacks. One jack, door side in front of tires, goes down when autoleveling. It will make contact with the ground and then seems to stick there. If the coach needs to rise a bit on that side, the jack does not go down any more -...

    2020 4007 waste valves

Doesn't really help right now for you all but I was told when we buy a new unit (hopefully later this Spring/early summer), and hopefully do a thorough PDI this time, to run Dye (Ritz, food coloring, whatever I guess) that will color the water. Fill the tanks to ensure they don't leak and then...

    Heartland Touts New PDI Initiatives

I appreciate all the comments. Looked at another 4007 yesterday and it must have been a mid-week build -- didn't find the quality of construction issues we saw on the earlier one :). I like the cyclone, now just have to figure out how to retire, AND pay for it all.

    Heartland Touts New PDI Initiatives

My wife and I are currently looking at a new 2020 Cyclone 4007; comparing it to a Grand Design. So far we are not impressed with the quality of construction in the Cyclone - cabinets hung crooked/ don't close because the opposing cabinet door is set too close. MCD shades in the Living Room...

    Battery replacement

In an earlier response I read that the batteries were mostly for the lights and furnace (at least that is how I read it  ) - however, from experience I know the importance of the batteries in extending / retracting the slides and landing gear. Without sufficient battery power, you...

    which frig ?

We have the residential fridge in our Landmark and have had no problems with it albeit, we don't boondock. The roads have taken their toll on the pins that hold the shelves up though. We don't use the in-the-door water or ice maker so we have not had to worry about the water line (which runs...

    jbeletti's 2018 Landmark 365 Newport

Sorry but you have me laughing here as I think about my wife's showers - have a 12 gallon tank on ours and she has no problem draining it - Can not even imagine her with only 6 gallons (of course she thinks our Landmark is a small step from 'roughing it':confused: She never got the...

Jim: I thought you had answered the following questions before but I don't find them now so please excuse the duplication. How does the tankless water heater work when flow is slow -- rinses dishes for example where you might not need / want the full force of water? How bad was it on drawing...

Roadside Assistance Renewal Time-Looking for Input

I was very disappointed in Good Sam's support this past December. Tried to go through a two foot high snowdrift that was across the road and my truck stopped like in quick-sand. In any case, called Good Sam and they would not send a wrecker as it was snow (or sand). Not a covered item.

    Insulation Value/Type in Garage of 2019 4005

I hope I have the right model - the wife and I saw one at the Kansas City RV Show a couple of weeks ago and she has fallen in love with it. However, I'm concerned about whether the garage is insulated to the same value as the rest of the coach. I don't find anything on line to answer the...

Yahoo.....Truck door locks that freeze up!!!!

Jess: I'm going the guess that the Dealer forgot that we take these things to cold places (the mountains, parts colder than where you are, high deserts, weird weather bringing record cold to places not accustomed to such, etc.) I'd have them do the process if they can just in case. I can't...

ATF: Cyclone - Water Tank Overflow Line

I wish I lost only the top few gallons - filled mine up for a trip where we knew we'd have cold weather and, therefore, planned on using water from the on-board tank. Wrong, got to destination and had less than 1/3rd of the tank as indicated by the four light gauges. Put 65 gallons into the...

    Project LM 365

Kathi: depends on what year the LM was made. My coach is a 2015 LM 365 Key West. It has a GVWR of 17,500. Another Key West made only 3 weeks later had a GVWR of 18000 lbs. While still shopping for a coach, I called Heartland customer service with the two Vin numbers and was told that they...

    Hot Water Problem

Make sure that your outside shower hot and cold are shut off. Seems a common problem that these are left open and that causes mixing which, in turn, gives you the 'cooler' than desired shower. Hope this is the problem and you get hot water quickly.

    Now i’m Legal

I was at one of the larger RV dealers in the greater KC area and was lusting over a 200K Class A. Sales droid came out to show us some of the features. Tag wheel, rear bath bigger than some apartments (or so he said), and NO need for anything other than your regular car license. I...

    Hooray, I am now legal!!!!

Resurrecting this old thread I guess. See a few questions on what is having to be done to get the Class A, non-commercial, license. A LOT of confusion at the DMV as well. Now i’m Legal

PKWett94: We are talking about a 'non-commercial' class A license, not a CDL. Here in Kansas, as well as many other states, you have to have a class A non-commercial license if your trailer GVW is over 10K, or if your combined truck and trailer GCWR (gross combined weight rating) is 26K or...
