    33bkss Delamination issue?

If your unit was built like mine, the rear end may look delaminated but it is not. The finished layer is loose just like under the front of the 5th wheeler. Don't remember the name of that. Also, the delamination on the rear sides of my Gateway 3200 is caused by the rusted screws letting in...

    33bkss Delamination issue?

I have a 2013 Gateway 3200RS and my delamination is at the right rear passenger side. It started as a small bubble but when we got unusual rains in March and May, SW Florida, a few more appeared. I was glad I waited till more appeared because the new delams are up near the seem between the...

Tire solutions before pushing off fulltime

Put the exact same rims and Sailun tires (same size as yours) on my Gateway 3200 (2 axles) about 8 months ago and have never regreted it. Only got about 4000 miles on them and can tell that the towing is much better. Much less tire squirm and the tire wear seems even. The TPMS says they keep...

    Gateway - Outside Surface Oxidation

The Polyglow is for oxidized surfaces only. I used the product on the driver side and the rear and it used one bottle with 5 coats. It came out looking like a million bucks! Parts of those sides needed a total of seven coats but it takes only a few minutes to dry. My decals showed signs of...

    Gateway - Outside Surface Oxidation

Got the PolyGlow on and no more oxidation. It looks shiny and new, and hopefully, will last a year. Next year I will wash and a couple of layers of the polymer and I am good for another year.

Towmax to Sailun S637 - Effect on Height?

I bit the $bullet and opted for 17.5 inch Sailun S637's but had to buy 4 new rims which added a few hundred dollars to the cost. The tire has a 30.4 inch diameter (smaller that the Towmax) but each tire is rated at 4805lbs @ 125psi. This will give you more clearance between your stairs and...

    Gateway - Outside Surface Oxidation

Traveltiger, I took your advise and called the factory and got an instant response. The front cap is painted but the rest of the Gateway surface (except for the decals) has gelcoat. This means I can use Polyglow which makes the job of surface preparation, restoration, and protection much easier.

    Gateway - Outside Surface Oxidation

Thanks TravelTiger, I did send to the factory with my VIN and this was also posted. I know something about boats but not alot about RV fiberglass. As soon as I get a reply from Heartland I will post it. I have contacted Heartland before on another matter with my Gateway and they responded...

    Gateway - Outside Surface Oxidation

My 2013 Gateway 3200RS is experiencing oxidation on driver's side and rear of the 5th wheeler. I think this is due to the Florida sun and lack of care from the first owner (we purchased a few months ago). Does this RV have gelcoat or is it painted? I want to Polyglow this RV which lasts...

    Coax TV Layout for Gateway

Thanks Danemayer, I got the schematic you sent me and it jogged my memory. I remember when I hooked up satellite tv to my previous travel trailer and I had to run a separate coax with a dedicated separate connector to the outside. I still think I need the schematic from the factory to trouble...

    Coax TV Layout for Gateway

Thanks JohnD, A schematic will show me what it should be. I think it is not. When I hook up the satellite coax at the UDC there is no signal at the living room tv. I tried both coax hookups there and at the tv. I disconnected the coax directly under the slide which is under the tv and after...

    Coax TV Layout for Gateway

I have a 2013 Gateway 3200RS with some TV signal issues and can't find a schematic of the coax layout for troubleshooting. I looked in the "Tools" and can't find one. Does anybody know if I can get one? Or, I assume that one of the listed schematics is the same as mine. Question is, which...

What is being done about Towmax Tires

I got my tires and wheels from www.trailertiresandwheels.com. I believe that is the web address. In it they list the manufacturers and all the dimensions of tires and wheels which is a good starting point. Then I went to the manufacturer's website and got the dimensions for each tire. I kept...

What is being done about Towmax Tires

You will end up spending some money on tires and wheels. You can change out the tires and go with Goodyear 614's but I just changed to 17.5 inch wheels and Sailun tires which carry a load of over 4800lbs each tire and inflated to 125lbs. each. This will solve your problem! No more blow outs...

What is being done about Towmax Tires

Got my Gateway 3200 last month with Towmax tires. Talked to a tire person and he said that the RV manufacturers were putting tires on the trailers which were maxing out the tires and these ST's should be replaced with LT's on the heavier rigs such as mine. He said that the Towmax tires would...

    SOLVED: Slide Room Adjustment

Re: ATF: Gateway - Slide Adjustment Well, I finally got a day off today and followed Cookie's advise and investigated the "Tools" and found my answer. Adjusted the slide based on the manual and got it! The adjustment was maxed out and I also adjusted the "can" too so it can come in properly...

Out with the Blowmax / In with the G614's

I cancelled the order for the Goodyear G614 from tires-easy.com. Ordered 4 Sailun 17.5" diameter from Trailer Tires and Wheels. All I have seen on the internet and this forum are good reviews for the Sailun tire. I went to a 215 instead of a 235 but I think I will have the same braking power...

    SOLVED: Slide Room Adjustment

Re: ATF: Gateway - Slide Adjustment Thanks Bob and Patty, I will try your suggestion. The slide has to move out about 2 inches to seal inside. The 2 nuts ( one of these is a nylon locking nut) have about 1 inch to be maxed out. Also, there is a nut on the can. Should this be adjusted out...

Out with the Blowmax / In with the G614's

Just took ownership of a 2013 Gateway 3200rs and it has Powermax tires but looked great. I read all the threads on these tires from China and it brought back memories of the Marathons I ran on my travel trailer in 2006-07. Switched to Maxxis and no problems. However these are now made in...

    SOLVED: Slide Room Adjustment

FYI, this forum is hard to use. I just purchased a used 2013 Gateway 3200RS and the kitchen slide does not extend out enough to seal, lacks about 3 inches. Don't want to experiment with it based on the "Lippert Electric Slideout System" directions which I got off the internet. Are there any...
