I own a 2008 Heartland Nort Trail 31RED Travel trailr. I have had the unit calked every two years from the time I bought it. This unit is the one with the plastic cover in place of a rear bumper. All the times every other place needing calking replaced was replaced. That is except the bumper...
Re: ATF: North Trail - Cover the took the place of a bumper
No Sir, What doesn't show well in the photo, is pressing on the wall at the connection, opens a gap about a 1\16 of a inch. It is a place where waterr can get by. The question in my mind is would it get to the sub flooring. I will be...
Re: ATF: North Trail - Cover the took the place of a bumper
I understand that that seam should have been calked Should there be a crack that would allow water into the inside of the trailer?
I have the 31RED 2009 travel trailer, with a problem with the floor from the below the window to the two slides. The question is does the cover on the outside where a bumper would normally go, cover the flooring within the trailer. It appears there a crack along the top of that cover. could...
Hey guys, I wasn't able to attend due to medical problems. But would like to know how the evens went. The wife and I have made several trips to the park and enjoyed them prior to the lake being drained
Hope y'all have a good time.
Unfortunately, the repairs are not complete as of last month. It will take a long time for the main lake to refill. there is a smaller lake the can be used for fishing and non-motor water use. The park is still a beautiful place to camp and is quite. 6 miles to Tupelo, for major restaurants and...
Please be advised: If you had planed that included any kind of water sport, the large lake has been drained due to faults found in the dam.
Attention: Old Natchez Trace Lake (the main lake) has been drained and is closed to the publicduring the renovation period. Fishing in the smaller lake...
While it may be true that most are above, I really don't think it is in this case. I have a 31RED also and I believe the motor for the dinner table is under the seat. Most likely under the seat near the rear of the slide.
Okay, Disregard my statement. I have recently found that I provided...
Well I have replace the valve. I used one that has male push on both ends and used a different type clamp. I used the type that has has the screw clamping. I did have a bit of a problem while trying to force the tubing onto the valve, but a touch of Vaseline and it slipped right on. Vaseline is...
I agree that the pump was pulling air from the tank because it would pressurize the system. What I didn't understand was that with two gals. of antifreeze in the tank the pump could not pull it up. The value from the tank to the pump is stuck so that it passes air or fluid from the tank to the...
I'm sure it was pulling air from the tank because it was pressurizing the system. It just bothered me that 2 gal. of antifreeze would not be picked up from the tank. We never use the tank water for drinking and only use it for what I call "Pee water" while we are on the road. But looks like I...
I was trying to winterize my travel Trailer and ran into a problem. I located all the valves and made sure they were in the proper position. All but one the one that shuts off the up take from the tank would not turn.I opened the value that should uptake the antifreeze and place it into the jug...
Thanks for you help and information. I have a local "1 Stop RV" I will be contacting. They do repairs but no sales. They do insurance and Good Sam Warranty. They have a very good representation locally. Thanks again; Really want to get on with our bucket list.
I'm sure you're correct, I was wanting to find out if this is repairable and at what cost. I'm 75 years old. My wife and I have always wanted to do a trip from Mississippi to Calf. Our bucket list is getting shorter.
"There was also some trailers that did not have adequate cross-bracing under the curved front cap, and over time it caused some horizontal indentations. I believe these were fixed as well."
This may be what I'm seeing. It seems to be what i'm seeing. I can all ways hope. It does seem very...
What I read is not from this page. I have a 2009 North trail 31RED. I perched it from Camping World in January. I also have an "extended warranty", but Im not sure this will cover the damage. I have no way of knowing who maintained or didn't maintain it properly. I noticed the flexing on a...
I was wondering if there were such a system such as Car-fax that follows repairs and rebuilds to RVs and travel trailers. After all they have VINs. In addition, there IS a lot of fraud in this mariket.
I was wondering if there is a data base somewhere that logs the repair of travel trailers like that of autos and trucks. If so, where can I find the information on my used travel trailer? Thanks for any information.
Okay. couldn't wait any longer. I replaced with standard 1/2 inch "D" stripping. Also found that the tape on the slide out wasn't installed properly and have creases witch can allow water to seep into the slide out. I'm using Kool Seal Elastomeric Roof Coating, to seal these seams. Worked for me...
I've researched the web for my problems and came across a video that said they just need to be checked for rust. Didn't say anything about Lub. I'm no expert as you can tell just passing what I found in the video.
I am have a leak on both sides on my travel trailer. I examined both and could minimum damage to the weather striping. It just looks like a very flat peace of rubber.Shouldn't it a bubble type?
What type, and how long are the strips? Added pictures to show what I fighting.
Re: ATF: North Trail - Awning repair
I have used the tape and while it sticks well, it is a little difficult to deal with. wrinkled but stuck. I was thinking that using the rubber roof finishing sealant if I have problems in the future. It would seal the cracks and is very pliable.
This the plan we're going with. I got mine a Lowe's and with the weighted bottom, should have no problems Thanks so much for your suggestion. God Bless.
At the top of my awning, on top, there what appears to be spots where the top layer has popped. It they run the whole length of the awning. Like small bubbles have popped. the under side of the awning doesn't seem to have any damage at all. My question then is what is the best way to repair this...
Hey Guys, thanks for all the feed back. I went with the stand alone unit. I think it will work great. There is no room for attaching the holder to the wall or to the cabinet door. To mount it inside the cabinet door under the sink is just out of reach for the wife. With the stand alone, It can...
I am the proud owner of a 2009, 31RED. I'm taking my time setting it to my and my wife's comfort levels. The wife pointed out to me that there was no toilet paper holder in the bathroom area. If I mount on on the wall, it will interfere with getting into the bathtub. Where should I mount it?
