Congrats! I noticed your rear level up jacks are much farther back now which is a good move as these long units still have some bounce in the rear when setup.
If the toilet is burping when flushed it is cause it is venting(breathing) through the flush hole instead of the vent pipe that goes up to the roof. Usually this means the black tank is full and needs to be emptied.
Mine was tripping when bringing the jacks up, and the dealer said it was wired incorrectly. Here are the dealer notes
Tested with meter and the system was drawing close to 60 amps. Replaced main 50 amp breaker and found that the control panel was wired to the breaker side and switched that...
I run trailer tires at max psi. When I was in Elkhart, I stopped by Treddit as I was going to get some new tires for the prev big country, and they said that if you have a blowout and wanted to claim warranty, they would deny the claim if you ran them anything other than max psi cold...
The truck has the auto level rear air assist so when it gets a load put on it, it raises the rear to where it normally sits at. There is a button on the inside that is labeled 'Alt Trailer Height' which lowers the rear down so the trailer will sit lower and more level for the trailer, which is...
Looking for opinions on if I am nose high enough to cause issues. Truck is in alt trailer height mode and b&w hitch arms are in the forward position and in the lowest settings. Pictured is old and new.
Trying to decide if I should try to upgrade my current truck (in sig) or purchase a new one. Truck is not chipped and the only mod so far is a 5" exhaust from the turbo with some kind of high air passing muffler. Truck is pretty loud.
At the end of last year we took our Big County to the...
I used air to empty all the lines then switched to pink. I couldn't understand why I couldn't get pink out of the fridge door. I put at least 2 gallons of pink through the fridge and still came out clear. I guess it was the filter, and the door wouldn't put out water without the filter...
Blew out all lines, and put pink stuff in just in case, now trying to winterize the fridge. I know the guides say not to put antifreeze through the fridge, but I want to be sure. I have been trying to get pink out of the water cup filler, but I can't get pink to come out. Have filled up about...
We previously had a 2009 Big Country that had to go back to the factory for some repairs, and while we were there we visited the local dealer and traded in on a 2016 Landmark Charleston. We stayed with Heartland due to the service we received on our issues on the Big Country. We have been out...
My org micro was replaced due to the fogging up issues, and the replacement died after the first use, which was about 15 days after the 1 year warranty. I searched high and low and found a magic chef at home depot that was the same w x h, but I had to modify the trim for it to work.
Looking forward to the rally. In Des Moines here. We have done the Eastern iowa fall trip the last couple of years staying at different camp grounds. Diane is orginally from Davenport so she enjoys spending time over there.
We purchased our BC in March of 08 and upgraded from a 21' travel...
I have a 1.5 year old 2009 BC 2950RK with a bedroom slide leak when it rains on the side of the slide next to the bathroom. I checked all around the slide, roof, side and I can't find anything that sticks out. The only thing I noticed was the gap on the slide out is not the same. When the bed...
If one wants to clean the roof to prevent the annoying black streaks and just to have it clean what is the approved product that we can use? I see people talking about just soap and water or spick and spam or not to do anything at all. Is there an approved product that heartland can tell me is...
There is a problem with the vent and fill tube - it has a low spot between the fill point and fresh water tank. If you trailer is under warranty take it to the dealer and have them drop the underbelly and re-route the fresh water fill and vent tube.
When I checked my blub it had rust on on side of the connectoins. Mine also has the plastic cover over the bulb on the left side but not the right side light. Going to add a plastic cover I guess to try that.
I am having some issues with my 2950. 1st is the water filling issue. I took it to my dealer and they did not fix the issue. This is very frustrating as the only camping we do is elec only. I need to ability to fill my fresh water tank without having to mess with the vent tube. This simply...
My only concern is the fresh water tank filling problems and the air conditioner air flow issue for the bedroom. The posts have been on the forums about these issues for quite some time and my 5 month old trailer has these issues.
Overall I am very happy with it. We walked through some...
I have the same issue. To get it to fill I have to hold the hose TIGHT on the hole once it gets to the point where it tries to come back out. During fill up when it goes in ok I run inside and turn the pump on (once enough is in the tank the pump doesn't run dry). Once it acts like its full I...
Have one in the storage area. It seems to work good. In this pic its sitting on Linx levelers before I built a wood stand for it. Wanted the door to open out so I could put crap to the side of it. We love having it out there. All the pop/beer goes in here and doesn't take up space in the main...
The pump never runs constant unless using the toliet. The TT we upgraded from ran constant when in use. I just want to make sure this is normal. Others also run for like a sec, then stop for a sec, run, stop?
Also the floor in the kitchen next to the slide out is not attached to the...
I ended up buying the biggest truck I could without going to a 450. 06 CTD Mega Cab, DRW, 5" exhast, B&W.
Loving the trailer so far. We upgraded from a 20' trail-lite TT. We are camping way more in the new 5ver. We love it
Here are pics from Big Country 2009 2950RK built in Jan 08, purchased in March of 08. Lets just say I am not so happy. When I asked the dealer I purchased from, his response was, "I have lots of new campers on the lot with rust"
We signed the final papers on our 2950RK on friday and camped at the grounds attached to the dealership. Over all its leaps and bounds over our 01 21' trail lite. I love the basement storage, and storage inside. We had a few issues and I feel the PDI checklist was pencil whipped. Like no battery...
Picked up yesturday, and filled it up last night (ouch). We took it for a drive today and its leaps and bounds over the Dakota. It came with a B&W Companion Hitch. Its a 2006 Dodge 3500, CTD Mega Cab. Ready to pick up the new BC 2950RK next weekend!
What are you planning on pulling it with? Looks like min is a 2500 HD or a 3500 truck...
We just signed the papers on ours today, so just need to find a truck to pull it.
We are very close to buying this model. We liked it in the 07 model of the Big Horn and we found it again in the Big Country.
What do you pull it with? What do you suggest I get to pull it?
How do you like it? Had any issues?
Any advice?
Thanks!
