If there is a hot & cold handles each one in the back of the wall has a plastic nut on them you can just turn it by your hand .. its tight but not to hard to do. the water nuts my be on tighter, undo the hot & cold lines, then you can get to the other ones that hold it to the wall.

Both hot & cold are leaking from round the back of the shower hookups , nothing loose , changed washers, bought new shower faucet, still leaks... so the only thing I can think of and what is left is the 2 hot & cold connecters, in the back ( which is a lot of fun , if you haven't did this b-4 )...
