    M32 Stolen - now what?

Shoot...was hoping to add another obstacle to potential thieves, but if they are smart and disconnect the battery they can just pull the unit.... :-/

    M32 Stolen - now what?

Just an update and followup Q....unit was never recovered (not that police actually actively did anything). Insurance covered 70% of value...I suppose that's better than nothing :-/ For our new unit I upgraded to a Masterlock Trailer Locks #389DAT that should make it a litte harder. Would it...

    M32 Stolen - now what?

The hitch lock was a masterlock, hardened steel. They had a metal grinder to get thru it (as well as the storage gate)...clearly pros. All other compartments were std locks, battery disconnect etc. Hope the VIN can get recorded with Heartland etc as stolen : 5SNFB3426HE323462

    M32 Stolen - now what?

Our M32 was stolen from 290 Storage in Cypress, TX last night together with another PUMA trailer. Police is on the way, but camera footage seems to grainy. What next? Highly customized, tons of personal items in it. Where would a stolen unit go? Try to sell or slaughter?

    Mallard M32 - Replace A/C & Heat Control Thermostat

It's taken some time but I eventually replaced it with a basic digital home unit from Lowes. Other than connecting both fans speeds togther, it all works as intended and much better temp control than b4.

    Brake Help Needed

Soooo...they finally came out with the CORRECT parts after more than 2 weeks. Supposedly there is an upgraded axle on this unit and a bigger brake assembly is needed. Long story, after they assembled it I took the rig for a spin and even with the brake controller cranked to full 10.0 now, I...

    Brake Help Needed

Well, mobile installer came out today and we decided to get all 4 brake units replaced. He took one of the old ones to the parts supplier and obtained the exact manufacturer and model parts....however the bolt pattern does not fit, new bolts are spaced further out. RV is 2017 model, parts were...

    Brake Help Needed

Brought RV home from storage today and it made metallic noises in one of the wheels. Upon closer look a spring hung out of the brake disc assembly and upon removal of the wheel and brake cover, additional parts (adjusting nuts?) fell out. What to do next?

ISO simple add-on AC option for bunkhouse

Good Morning fellow campers. We have an M32 (30A !) and the bunkhouse heating/cooling is sub-par to say the least. Already inspected all ducting for obstructions and straight routing from the inside access covers. All good now there. However I am not taking down the underbelly cover to...

    Mallard M32 - Replace A/C & Heat Control Thermostat

Good Morning, We own a 2017 Mallard M32 (30A version with single A/C unit) and want to replace the analog-style control pad for the A/C and Heat unit. Currently installed is a Coleman Mach Pad (showing type AP7862-4 / AR7815 / AR 7816) - see pics. How can we find a simple digital...

Small gutter leak on passenger side

Tried a piece of the ETERNABOND roof repair stuff last week...very hard to get into the gutter with my fingers...dripping reduced by 90%..but after foggy and very condensation heavy nights it still dripped. Added a thick layer of GOOP..will see how it goes next trip. How do you get into this...

    M32 Outdoor Kitchen TV

The outside kitchen TV is a SAMSUNG, open box from Best Buy, 1080p (don't know the model), bought it based on width and used a basic wall mount from Best Buy. My inside is a VIZIO from Walmart, also 1080p (don't know the model), and also with basic wall mount. I put a stick on poster on the...

Small gutter leak on passenger side

This seems to be an issue with many TT's...where the two gutter parts connect, typically near the front door, it seems to drip through eventually. We tried GOO, silicon and other glue-style materials to seal it off, all to no avail. What is the best option someone has found to stop this...

    M32 Outdoor Kitchen TV

I removed the small TV and V-bracket and moved it into the bunk room for the kids. Then installed the widest TV we could find (~28") with a new std bracket. Works pretty well with a few chairs in a semi circle at night.

ATF: Mallard - Blackwater Flush - Procedure vs Leaking

Update Nov '17: Thanks to Hurricane Harvey, we had the underbelly completely restored and during that time had the shop check and tighten all connections on the black tank flush system in the underbelly. Tested it heavily a couple of weeks ago and ZERO leaks. :-) Clearly, some thing was loose...

ATF: Mallard - Mallard M32 (2016) Heat Duct Routing

Sealed underbelly = yes. What would this tiny hose heat up given the square footage of the trailer? Wonder if there is a way to reroute from underneath ? Second Q: there is an option to attach another hose to the heater, however, how would one be able to route it to the bunkhouse (going past...

ATF: Mallard - Mallard M32 (2016) Heat Duct Routing

Good Afternoon, Had to use heat last weekend and bunkhouse vent is decidedly cooler than others. Opened all access ports and found 3 large hoses exiting heater (to front door, under stove and bathroom), all without kinks. Also found 2 smaller hoses exiting heater and going underneath. Only...

    ATF: Mallard - 2016 vs 2018 M32 Specs

Good Afternoon, Our 2016 M32 got flooded during Harvey in Houston and is likley a total loss :-( What are the true key differences between the 2016 and 2018 model year? Dealer info (Camping World) and online resources show a range of different data, and we would like to know what we truly get. TY

ATF: Mallard - Are there Mallard manuals specific to each model?

Hi there... We (I) was also flabbergasted after our first TT purchase and the rather quick walkthrough. Besides the aforementioned sources, we have found that just talking to camping neighbors yields a ton of information, help, shortcuts and tips. Might even lead to onsite help from well...

What other Heartland series is the MALLARD based on?

Trying to locate more information on the Mallard in general (ideas, troubleshooting etc). I understand the Mallard series is a Camping World exclusive series, and I would believe it is based on one or more existing Heartland series with many, many commonalities. Who can shed light on this? Thanks.

Are you talking about leaks when running water in the outdoor kitchen or leakage underneath that could come from other areas? In the former case, I suggest to open the access panel(s) and hand(re)tighten the faucet and sink fittings.

    Bathroom door on M27

Same scenario in our M32...I keep the bathroom door open during storage and short transport and put a small pillow at the bottom to prevent the door from swinging and damaging parts. Keeping it open also helps with the ventilation.

ATF: Mallard - Blackwater Flush - Procedure vs Leaking

Thank you for your extensive response. Those are pretty much the processes I am following when emptying the tanks. I have yet to overfill one :-P (And I have read the HUG manuals as well.) I also have a water meter on the hose to properly gauge the amount of water I am adding thru the...

ATF: Mallard - Blackwater Flush - Procedure vs Leaking

Good Morning, The printed instructions (and online references) mostly suggest to hook up the black water flush with the valve CLOSED and add about 5G of water, then open the valve to rinse out. The sticker at the BW flush states to leave the valve OPEN. This does not clean very well however...

    ATF: Mallard - Newbie

You could possibly remove the pneumatic struts to allow the door to open further, however I would watch the hinges carefully as I am not sure they are designed to swing a full 180 degrees. Next item to look out for is the door slamming into your side, there are stoppers that can be attached to...

Looking to buy a Mallard M33

Hi campout, The M32 and M33 are very much the same base camper with the M33 having the kitchen slideout and island, and a bunkhouse door vs curtain. We settled for the M32 for weight reasons and did not like the much lower kitchen height in the M33. Other than that, we had ours now for 9 mths...

    M32 / M33 - Adding Drawers to Nightstands

Hi All, We were used to having bedside drawers in the master and found the deep open cavities in the Mallard a bit un-ergonomical and impractical to hold small items, magazines etc. Decided to have a carpenter friend build two custom drawers with quality, self closing rails. Rails screw down...

M32 - adding a door on the bunk room?

We had the same concern as the M33 had a door to the bunkhouse but our M32 does not. However we have found it has not been an issue at all, as the noise level is no different with a thin door vs the curtain - it's mostly acting as a light blocker or make a quick change area. Having a second...

    M32 - Sofabed conversion

Here is a picture of the bed in the OPEN position. Looking a the folding mechanism and cushion sizes, this appears to me to be a design flaw. There is no option to level the top portions and create a smooth/flat sleeping surface. We are considering blankets or a cut-to-size foam cushion (WalMart).

Under dinette storage - add drawers

Measured yesterday after some other updates... The kitchen cabinet doors are the smallest ones in the M32 - measuring ~15x15". Any doors for under dinette storage would need to be smaller, about ~12x13" max IMO. Cheers.
