MC9 & JMGRATZ also recommended the Tucson area...we spent most of the day looking up different RV parks there. LazyDays seemed like it got good reviews from rvparkreview. Anyone been there?
New to RVing and would like any recommendations on RV parks in the warmer climes of Arizona for this winter. Have a Woodall's book but would rather go by reviews of the forums members. I'm probably getting a late start on this but would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Mike
Just the top 18" or so of my Greystone is fading also. What's the factory solution to those who have the same problem. Do you just have the upper portion painted? Otherwise your getting into the graphics if you paint the whole front cap.
Carefree of Colorado is what I ordered. PPL had the best prices but I ended up ordering from a local dealer who matched the next lowest price. I'll have them put them on. Had them include the shipping charges in their bid.
After reading a previous post on slider awnings, everyone seems to be in agreement that there helpful. I was online looking at the ones Girard makes and wondered if anyone can suggest a particular brand or ones to stay away from.
Another stabilizer you might consider is 'SteadyFast' www.steadyfast.com I had them on my previous fiver and loved them. Bought and installed a set on my 32RL. Also bought a pair of the chocks that go between the tires, which in my opinion are worthless. Once the Steadyfast stabilizers are...
According to the spec sheet the Kipor ig3000 weighs in at 132 lbs. No wonder at 71 It's a ***** getting in in and out of my pickup by myself. Checked Harbor Freight for a lift. They have a transmission lift for under $75 but it only goes up just under 24"
Dave, that's the same place I keep mine. I'm going to do the same thing with the fan first then the cool. I like 'swanndive's' idea of a lift to get it in and out of the truck. I think I'll check with Harbor Freight, maybe their transmission jack will work.

Re: generator help?
Thanks Brian,
That site does say the starting wattage for a 15k is 3300 watts.
I'm using a Kipor IG3000 that I bought when I got my first RV. Wished I'd bought two Honda 2000's but...My first fiver had a 15K and the Kipor started it and ran it without going into overload...
Re: generator help?
A slide on the side. I'd like to see a picture of that, sounds like a great idea!.. Will your eu3000 run your A/C? I have a Dometic 15k and can't seem to find the wattage/amps it takes to run.
Just got off the phone with my Heartland dealer and he's still waiting for a call back from his rep. If nothing comes of that, I'll call Heartland directly. Thanks for the response.
Mandotar: If you hear back with a solution, please let us know. Thanks.
My previous trailer was 8' shorter and I would carry my generator between my tool box and hitch and I would hook up my shoreline to it there but a lot of heat is generated so I wouldn't run it very long. Maybe without a tool box it wouldn't be so bad.
Since the shoreline comes out of the back...
Thanks for the pictures. I especially like the rack you made. Your generator looks like it's just 'floating'. I also like the short shoreline you made!!
Thanks Don. I have two nephews who are master welders, I think I'll invite them over for dinner and have them look at it. The 'horns' don't appear to be much heavier steel than what the square bumper was made of though. I supposed that could be beefed up too.
quote: Put it in the truck or the front compartment. I carry a freezer in the front compartment but I added a few more screws holding the pan in. You won't believe how much vertical movement the rear of your 5r does.
Thanks for the suggestions. The truck option is a little harder since...
One month ago I took delivery of my new 2011 Greystone 32RL and love it! Went directly from the dealer in Butte, Mont. and headed to Oceanside CA. No major problems with the trailer. Found out the hard way that you shouldn't put anything heavy on the bottom shelf below the computer table. My...
