Don't think the tank valves are the problem since I switched the tanks one for the other and still had the same problem on the door side. That crossover line just might be the problem.
So I posted this issue back in 2019 about propane flow problems. The issue: Off-door side with dual propane regulator seems to work fine when propane is flowing from that tank. The door side is the problem. Off-door side ran out of propane last night and the automatic switchover to the door...
Thank you everyone for your comments. One additional question on this topic: What is the length of the jacks from top to bottom before they hit the end of stroke error code? That might also be good to know in determining how far to drop the jacks.
In my opinion, part of the reason to have these auto leveling jacks is to simplify the whole leveling process, without having to place blocks under the jacks. That is what I am already doing and want to fix. Before having the 7 leaf springs installed, everything worked fine with just hitting...
When I had my disc brakes installed about two years ago, l also had them install 7 leaf springs. Before I had them installed, I was able to auto level the jacks without them hitting max extension without additional blocks. Now I have to put down blocks under the jacks so they don't reach max...
After heavy rain and wind, the stitching on our entertainment slide topper pulled loose and was detached in the middle of the slide. Both ends held in place. I temporarily used black gorilla tape to pull the loose fabric up and onto the side of the fifth wheel. Don't know how long it will...
The last couple of times I have tried to auto retract my leveling jacks, they have not responded. The display shows that the jacks are up when they actually are still down. So I end up manually retracting them. Everything else is working on the leveling system. Any ideas why this is happening?
Nice setup. Your RV is the same model as ours except two years newer. You have yours on your property it looks like. Mine is in a commercial storage area. Don't think I would want my solar panel to be accessible to other folks. Also noticed that you have an input and output on your battery...
I also have my Big Horn in storage 70 miles away with no available electric hookups. I currently have my two lead acid batteries on battery tenders here at home. When I reinstall the batteries closer to camping season, I don't want to continue to pull them out. With my battery disconnect off...
Well, I took the trip in between snow storms over the mountain 70 miles to check on my RV and batteries. No change, slides still would not extend. The Lippert leveling system indicated the battery level as 12.1 volts. So I removed them taking extra care (diagrams, labeling) to mark the...
Good idea. Do you have one? With two batteries, do you need one for each battery? And in reading some of the reviews, sounds like some of the challenges are short cords, not being able to run the cord from the battery to a location where the sun can charge it. Interesting to see if anyone...
No, just one battery cutoff. Refer is propane/AC. The battery was fully charged when I stored it. So with the battery cutoff in the off position, why would the batteries run down so quickly? I do check battery fluid levels routinely. Could it be the parasitic drains from stereo, propane...
So it sounds like when I store my fifth wheel without electrical hookups for a month or more, I need to pull both batteries and haul them home and put them on a trickle charger. Was hoping I could leave it with the batteries disconnected without fear of the batteries running down. Since I am...
I have my 2016 Big Horn in storage about an hour away and has been there for a month, no electric hookup and I do not remove the batteries. Went there yesterday, hooked up the power cord to the truck, turned off the battery disconnect and I then had power. Opened the electric bedroom slide...
Thanks everyone for your replies. The initial setup of the DISH with the provided coax and following the instructions provided seemed to hang up and would eventually stop the setup before acquiring a signal. Once I put the coax through the slide from the outside, the initial setup went fine...
Just tried connecting by new DISH King Tailgater through the UDC to the main TV in my living room in my 3270RS Big Horn. Followed the instructions in the UDC as to which connection to hook to (second from right) Nothing. Then tried the other three coax connections in the UDC, nothing. Inside...
I think my Oxigenics Shower Head and hose might be compromised. We can smell the skunky smell on the hose when just hanging in the shower. The sulfur addition may have permeated the hose since it is plastic/vinyl. Will try replacing that before moving on to the other things mentioned. Guess...
I have done all that. Flushed the hot water tank with the wand that you suggested and that I have on hand. Sanitized the tank with bleach mixture in spring but not since the sulfur incident. And how in the world would you wire brush the electric elements without pulling the tank out and...
Getting a skunky smell for the first couple of seconds when turning on the shower and running the hot water. Took off shower hose and head and put in a baking soda/vinegar solution for a couple of hours. The hose still smelled after doing this so think the plastic hose needs to be replaced since...
Resurrecting this post. Getting a skunky smell for the first couple of seconds when turning on the shower. Took off shower hose and head and put in a baking soda/vinegar solution for a couple of hours. The hose still smelled after doing this so think the plastic hose needs to be replaced...
Well, I tried your suggestion and it worked. Didn't know which side the brake was stuck so just chose the left side, pulled down hard and it released. It seems to work fine now. Thank you so much for the suggestion. Will be careful in the future not to max it out when pulling it down.
This might be obvious but have to ask. Refrigerator should be level while parked so there are no problems while doing it's job. I know a lot of folks leave their propane on when traveling to keep refrigerator items cold. So was wondering, does traveling affect the refrigerator when going up...
Sounds like your shade was stuck in the up position since you had to pull down to release it. Mine is stuck in the down position, maxed out and won't release to retract up to the top.
I have the single (no black shade) MCD shades in my fifth wheel. The one above the dining table is stuck in the down position, evidently extended too far. No matter what I do, it will not go up. Any suggestions on how to get the shade to go up normally short of taking it off the wall? And...
Sorry to hear you are having the same problem. I would guess there are a lot of units out there doing the same thing but the owners just don't know it. I ended up leaving mine alone. After four years, there does not appear to be any residual issues, the rollers still continue to glide across...
Since I started this thread, I tried everything mentioned, finally replaced the dual regulator a few months back. Waiting for our first Spring trip to try out on the road. Seems to work fine here at home on each side. Furnace fired up, good heat distribution. So in my case, the dual...
I also have the Snap Pads on my rig. Wondering with the Stromberg Carlson base pads, how the snap pads work with them. Says they are 10" across the top so the 9" snap pads should work with them. But one of the nice things about the rubber snap pads is that they make contact with the...
Just received my five Sailun tires today from Simple Tire. Week and year of manufacture were all either 5020 or 5120. So that is great. Happy I did not get older tires. Now to get them mounted.
I know tire shops have their own protocol when performing tire changes. I can certainly ask them if I can use the level up system but they also might not want to do that and instead just use their floor jacks. Will see what they say. Level-up when on the road and having to change a tire is...
Going to take my Big Horn into a tire shop soon and I want to tell them exactly where to position their jack when lifting the rig. I know the axle is a no-go. So where is a good place - the I beam? Also, I was having trouble getting the knob on the spare tire mount to go back in to the hole...
Appreciate the comments. The thing is, when the 6 point leveling system came with my rig, the whole point was to make it easy to level without having to carry extra blocks and other gadgets. And that worked for me - only had one time in four years that I had to use blocks and then only one...
So I had disc brakes, new springs, the Morryde CRE 3000 and shocks all installed last May. Up to that point, I really had no problem when at an RV site of auto leveling my jacks without additional blocking. I did change from 6 leaf to 7 leaf springs. Now just about everywhere we go, I need to...
Our heating floor vent on our dinette slide is covered when the slide is in. The other vents are not. My dinette slide cannot fully extend because of the house being too close. Sometimes I would like to turn on the furnace in this situation but wonder if that would hurt anything with the...
Just ordered five Sailun S637, ST235/85R-16 tires from Simple Tire. Chatted online with a representative about getting tires that had a recent build date and mentioned the tires aging out at around five years. He said the tires could be as old as 4 years but more likely within the last two...
Replacing my Shower Head with a new one. Holding bracket is different and self-adhesive tape does not hold in place so want to screw the bracket into the shower wall just down from the original bracket. Should I be concerned about the backing material behind the shower wall? Do I need to...
Will be replacing my Big Horn tires this spring. Think I know the answer to this question but here goes anyways: When replacing the four tires on the rig due to age, should you also replace the spare tire even though it has never been used? My guess is yes based on age (all were manufactured...
My Sailun tires are dated Nov 2015 so also time for a change. Will change out in the spring before next travels. I know Techno RV sells them as well as Simple Tire. Haven't compared price differences yet. Understand Discount Tire also may have them in stock. If I order on-line, will have to...
