Our '17 LM has the friction hinge for the door. We have never had an issue with it slamming shut from wind or slight breezes. It works as it should after 3 years of ownership.

It is 110V - with standard plug. We ordered them from Amazon and came in a 40 foot roll with 3M backing tape.

We went with almost the same thing. We wired them into the belly box next to the TV on our LM Charleston. It has 7 colors and can be programmed to cycle through, etc. etc.
