Fridge Water Filter removal.

I have the need to change out the water filter in the Frigidaire and can not move it I have pushed on it.. any tips please.

I don't have one, but least one of the Frigidaire manuals says to PULL the filter out.

Mine is also a push in and then pull out. Make sure your water is turned off prior to doing this activity.

I had the same problem a few months ago, the filter was frozen in place. Customer service suggested wrapping towel soaked in hot water around the filter at the attachment to melt the ice. It took about 15 minutes, but it worked.

With the hot towel in place, try removing the filter by pushing (it should go in about 1/4 inch) then pull it out.

I got it out I checked it on UTube One screw took casing off pushed up with a small blade screwdriver and out she came. I think it is a aftermarket filter.
