    window shade fell off wall.

its on an exterior wall on the slide, so i only have the depth of the stud. I like the rivet idea, might give that a try this weekend if i doesn't get dropped off for the roof issue. Thanks for the ideas, ill everyone know what works.

Shower surround pulled out of wall.

Honestly I noticed it beginning of last year, while it was under warranty still but the dealer claimed they would need it for a month or two. We had the few trips we could take last year already scheduled and didn't want to have to cancel them. Called later in the season and it was the same...

Shower surround pulled out of wall.

It's out of warranty so it will be diy or maybe the local independent guy, but I've never had work done by them. Might try giving them a ring and see if they have some wisdom for me.

nail pops and buldgin on the edge of roof.

Nope, will be 2 years old in august.

    window shade fell off wall.

Didn't think of that. The shade and top valance don't weight much, but the wall board in the xlt is like paper. Ill have to look at some different rivets, might work.

Shower surround pulled out of wall.

the top of our shower, where the top bar meets the wall and about half way across the panel has pulled away from the wall. It looks like none of the screws hit a stud. Anyone know what the center is on the wall so i can try to locate at least one stud? My big worry is the edge where the top bar...

    window shade fell off wall.

We noticed after our last trip that one of our window shades had fallen off. The screws do not have a backer and were just in the luian wall board so it didn't take much for them to pull out. Has anyone had this happen before? I don't think a toggle will fit because i don't think the wall is...

nail pops and buldgin on the edge of roof.

I have a 2018 sundance xlt 283rb and i've noticed what look like 5-6 nail pops under the rubber in front of the ac unit, and a few days ago i noticed a bulge on the edge of the roof where it looks like the wood has swollen likely from moisture. I will be honest the roof seal was poorly done by...

Engineers & Bean Counters = FAIL

Auto manufactures do the same thing. They don't pay their dealers crap to finish/repair the product for them so i likely works out profitable for them to focus over quantity over quality. I guess with the playing field being pretty flat they don't see a need to rise above the competition in...

Engineers & Bean Counters = FAIL

Glad to hear your back up and running! I'm going to be facing the same thing here shortly, but due to dangerously bad brake performance. my camper is 9600 gross, about 8500 loaded with out water on dexter d44 axles. Its too much weight for the glorified 3500 lb axles 10" drums to brake...

    What's your favorite carry weapon?

9 and 40 s&w locally. Pretty sure most of the 40 was customs and border patrol through. Now if they would start littering 6.5 Creedmoor and 10mm brass everywhere I would be all set lol. It drew my attention... Not in a good way.

    What's your favorite carry weapon?

Being they could barely tag a full size silhouette at >10yrd under range conditions I would be terrified to be anywhere within the lethal range of their pistol in any type situation. I'll give them credit, most of them were safe and had great range manners. I'm sure not all departments are this...

    What's your favorite carry weapon?

The club i belong to is home to many police depts and government agencies in SE MI. I have shot with a bunch of LEO, the "qualification" they must meet leaves very, very little to desire. How many boxes of ammo did it take them to "qualify", lets just say i get a TON a 9mm brass thanks to them...

    Trailer brake question

Well an update on an old thread. The brakes are still terrible after another 500 miles finishing up the camping season, they did get a slight bit better but not much. I re-check and adjusted everything after the last trip and still no good. Short of replacing assemblies and trying again I give...

    Trailer brake question

I was going to pull the breakaway to test them since my wife was gone but the dealer reconnected the battery at some point and left the trailer unplugged the whole time so the battery was dead as a door nail. I have it on a smart charger to try and "recondition" but it might be shot. Had to use...

    Trailer brake question

Picked it up Saturday, no change. I willing to bet money they didn't look at it and it just sat there for a month and a half as the paperwork says they contacted lipper and got tech help and what not, problem is when I got under there it has Dexter axles. So either they didn't care to look, or...

2018 Wilderness 2850 weak braking issue

I have the same issue with an '18 heartland sundance xlt 283rb and my 2017 f150. With the controller maxed out it barely slows down. Picking mine up this saturday from the dealer who says everything if fine and that's how it should act, going to tear into it and see if something is wrong or the...

    Trailer brake question

That's from Heartland, its 820 dry not 850. Not sure what the loaded weight is, it's been at the dealer more then it's been in my driveway lol. I tow empty and we don't bring much with us so i would guess that the trailer is under 8k which is under the axle rating before you take off the TW...

    Trailer brake question

Thats kinda what im afraid of. I hope to find them out of adjustment or maybe some grease some how got on the shoes but you never know, it is a XLT so maybe they tried to save a few lb's on the axles. Ideally I would like to find someone with the same trailer to get their input to see if it's a...

    Trailer brake question

That was one of my main complaints to begin with, i could not adjust the brakes per common knowledge or manual because they will get no where near lockup at 13v. They help to slow the trailer a littel, but a majority of the braking is on the truck and i don't want to cook the brakes on a brand...

    Trailer brake question

Well finally got a call from the dealer after a bit over a month, nothing is wrong. Whatever, I guess i'll deal with it myself. A few weeks ago i met with the owner and he went for a test ride with my truck hooked up to the trailer, maxed out the brakes and he said "oh that's normal." We hooked...

    Trailer brake question

I have always set electric drums like hydraulic drums, expand the adjuster until they start to drag then back it off a few teeth. They claim the lippert axles should have a 1/16 on each shoe. Still haven't heard from them so I doubt they have looked at it.

    Perfect Computer For Your RV

I like 10 for personal use, but unless you have enterprise it's a huge pain to manage in a business environment. Definitely one place where you can see M$ got greedy.

    Perfect Computer For Your RV

For now... the 7th gen intel chips are windows 10 only. All require windows 10: Intel seventh (7th)-generation processors AMD “Bristol Ridge” Qualcomm “8996" 10 isn't horrible to get used to, 8 and 8.1 i hated because of the metro interface that was not fun to manage.

    Trailer brake question

You would think if that was the issue it would be warranty but they won't even look at them. I'll be on the hook for parts it if it's not just an adjustment issue. Hopefully they will call this week and i can pick it up saturday and start tearing into it.

    What's your favorite carry weapon?

I pocket carry a keltec pf9. Its ugly but its small, not very heavy and goes bang. If i ended up in Detroit i normally have my Ar pistol with me with a 40rnd pmag, but i try to avoid heading there.

    Perfect Computer For Your RV

There are a lot of options for "stick" computers these days. The Intel version is probably the most stable and has the most options but is also the most expensive. Other manufacturers have made them, mostly with intel atom based processors for a lot less but they are also not as powerful. If you...

    Trailer brake question

I have, when I first got it i did a few "brake in" cycles to set the shoes and magnets, the trailer has a bit over 400 miles now with a fair bit of city driving. That originally was my thought but the dealer claim that is part of their presale check, they have some measurements written down on...

    Trailer brake question

Thanks for the quick response Dave. I plan on tearing them apart if the dealer says it's fine again. They did check voltage and resistance at the magnets and they say they adjusted the shoes too but judging by the varying drum Temps I wonder. The grease issue has crossed my mind so I am...

    Trailer brake question

Hey everyone, I have a 2018 Sundance xlt 283rb and I have a question about the braking performance. Since we got it I have noticed that I have to run the brake controller maxed out on my 2017 f150 to get any type of braking assistance from the trailer. To me this is odd because I have always...
