We had to put our trailer in the shop as we just learned the kitchen slide was not manufactured correctly at the factory. This is going to take some time to repair and we will not be able to make the rally.
Say it isn't so!!! Don and Vicky we enjoy every time we get a chance to spend time with you two. We really enjoyed the last rally and looked forward to more in the future. I hope to see you in the future anywhere cuz that is where the fun will be.
We are planning a trip in June from El Paso to Monument Valley. I-25N out of El Paso to I-40W in Albuquerque. 491N in Gallup to 264W. Pick up 191N in Burnside to 59 out of Many Farms. 59 runs into 160. Take 160W to Kayenta then 163N to Monument Valley.
Is this the best route or are there...
Hello Texas West chapter members. We have recently relocated from Missouri to El Paso, Tx. Our plan is to attend the national rally this year in Goshen, I wanted to reach out and see if there were any other members near El Paso that plan on attending the rally as well. I know it is still a...
Based on what appears to be simple application ie almost just a plug and play installation why not repair all leaks with sharkbite. Why go through the hassle of crimp tools etc. Is this based solely on personal preference?
Thank you for all the responses. I see numerous issues with leaking fittings and always being on the lookout for potential leaks. I have not seen any problems once the sharkbite is added as far as leaks. That being said I am thinking during this down time why not replace with sharkbite and...
I am considering systematically replacing all my water connections with Sharkbite that I can. Not because I am having any problems but I would like to avoid any future issues. Would this be a good or bad idea?
Our extreme gratitude goes out to Larry and Gayle for hosting an outstanding event. They have a way of making everyone feel like family. We enjoyed seeing everyone and meeting new people. A hearty thank you to Bob for the wonderful pictures. We are already looking forward to the next time we...
We are having the same problem on our '17 Madison. We are scheduled to take it back to the factory at the end of August for other paint issues. I am going to add this problem as well.
Sorry for the delay. No it was not the screw on connections that leaked. It was actually a crack in the H part of the faucet between the handles. Since it was covered by the faucet cover the water would leak back through the holes cut for the screw connections and down onto the floor behind...
Turns out it was not the water line to the fridge. The shower faucet is the culprit. Water leaking behind shower down to floor and then along side of trailer to floor in kitchen.
So I checked where the line enters the back of the fridge and didn't see anything. Under the island the only water shutoff I see is the cold water on the supply line to the sink. Is there another one I am missing?
After showering this morning we discovered water on the floor coming from under the kitchen slide. I checked the fridge access door and didn't see any leaking water there. I checked under shower and didn't see any water pooling there either. Any ideas where this may be coming from?
Yes we do have the KIB Multi-Plex Control System. So if what they found is correct would it require removing all of the wood trim just to replace the led strips? My other question is how does the wiring for the LED stips in the slide out trim pieces relate to the solid surface bed side...
Had the Landmark in the shop today and noticed that the accent lights in the bedroom around the slide out and the lights on the little solid surface counters on each side of the bed did not work. The tech looked around and found a wire that looks as if it has become disconnected from the light...
Just so I am clear. I have heard that you should fill tires to cold pressure because that is the pressure required to carry maximum load. Would that cause an issue if I am not fully loaded? My other issue was the TPMS has I believe a 15% over and under on PSI from the initial preset which I...
So I purchased a TPMS for the Landmark. The trailer came with Sailun (hopefully I spelled that correctly) tires with a cold pressure spec of 125 psi. I took the Landmark to the shop for some work and tested out the TPMS. The front tires went from 125 psi to 138 psi and temp of 48 degrees...
Hello all,
I just wanted to inform anyone in and around the state of Missouri that there is a great RV storage called Lakeway Storage in Jefferson City, MO. They offer fully enclosed RV storage at very reasonable rates. I do not work for them but I do store my newly purchased fifth wheel there...
Thank you for the information. I called Heartland and ordered the part. Great service. They sent me an email with a photo of the part to make sure it was correct before ordering. That is how you do business.
Hello Jay,
I made reservations at KOA for 5/10-5/13. I have submitted my application to the owners club but have not heard back yet. If we are eligible for T shirts would need 1 XXL AND 1 Large. This will be our first event. Really looking forward to it.
Bradley & Toya Black.
I see what you are saying. That is probably true just worded as a prep fee. Thank you for the well wishes. We are looking forward to many great experiences.
I think there was a misunderstanding. The prep fee was something the dealer "normally" charges. It is not attached to the PDI. The PDI and any repairs found from it are covered free of charge. We reduced the amount of the prep fee they charged because of items we found during the PDI.
I can post pictures later when I go back to the trailer. Mine are behind an access panel almost exactly like the electric power cord access panel. I am looking to replace it with something that is a little more substantial. I feel the plastic locking mechanism played a part in it not staying...
On the trip home from our new purchase the access hatch door over the black and grey tank valves blew off. Not very happy to get home and see a hole there. Has anyone replaced these doors and what did you replace them with?
I really appreciate all the feedback. Final result is the fee was negotiated down 50%. This was due to the fact that there were issues discovered during the PDI that should have been taken care of during the dealer prep that we were paying for. We were pleased with the outcome.
