    Furrion Cooktop FGH4ZSA Center Burner

These burners should each have a wire probe called a thermocouple that detects the heat from the flame. If it's not detecting heat from the flame correctly it will shut off the gas flow. I've had similar problems on other propane devices and that's usually the culprit. Not sure how you check...

New tires for my 2006 Landmark Shenandoah

We've had good luck with the Hartland ST trailer tires available from Discount Tire. They went to Alaska on our Cyclone and have held up very well. Current price is about $141 each.

    Heartland cyclone 3611js hd

We have a 2018 Cyclone 4005, so not the same model that you are looking at. We have had similar experiences to what David mentioned above. The only major issue we have had is the same sidewall crack at the large slideout, and our rig was out of warranty. But as we first noticed the crack...

    Free Overnight Stays

If you like to boondock overnight fairly frequently, you might consider a Harvest Hosts membership. There are hundreds of places where members can spend the night with no camping fees. Costs $99 a year but may be worth it if you travel a lot.

2019 CY3600 - Potential Purchase Any Lessons Learned Appreciated

And the weight adds up quickly. We use the garage area in our Cyclone 4005 as extra living space, no toys, so I've never been really concerned with weight. When I finally weighed our 3 axle Cyclone 4005 at a CAT scale and did the math, we were carrying right at 2,000 pounds, and that was with...

    Electrical issues Bighorn 3055RL

You could take the battery to an auto parts store and have it tested to see if it's bad. We had one of our batteries go bad after only 2 years. And if there is room for a 2nd battery, I'd put it in. That will give you more standby power when not plugged into shore power.

2013 Big Country Rim and Fenderskirt

How long has it been since you sent your info to Heartland? The last time I ordered a part through Heartland, it took a few days after I sent my address information. They don't contact you for confirmation and payment until the parts department is ready to ship.

Creaking, cracking and other noises for my Bighorn 2018

Not sure exactly what types of sounds you are hearing, but is it a metallic popping sound? The automatic levelling system has been known to make popping sounds as reported by many people. You can search the forum for previous posts about it and the fix that involves putting anti stiction...

    Inverter size.

Not a Bighorn, but the inverter for the residential fridge in our Cyclone is a Magnum CSW1012, 1000 watts.

    Salt Lake City

We stayed at the KOA in the north part of downtown Salt Lake City. I was surprised it was pretty easy to get in and out of even with the closeness to downtown. It's not in the best part of town, but the KOA was very well maintained and we were fine there for 3 nights.

    Morryde Latch Extensions

I overlapped the trim. That's why I added a bead of silicone across the top just to make sure it sealed well. I've read where some people cut the trim, but I didn't want to do that just in case we ever took these door locks off.

    Morryde Latch Extensions

Just re-read this thread and saw the comment about RV Locks not fitting on the tall glass Cyclone doors. We installed the compact model on our Cyclone doors. Yes, they overlap the window trim a bit. But I found the foam gasket on the RV Lock nicely filled in the little gap that was there...

    2015 Big Horn 3750FL

Just FYI for cost comparison. We recently had one of our Dometic AC units replaced by a mobile RV service. Total of about $1500: $1250 for the new unit, and the remainder for labor for removing the old unit and installing the new one.

Fresh Water Tank Hauling full or empty

There are a wide variety of opinions on this one, and it's primarily a matter of personal preference. We always travel with our fresh water tank about 1/3 full since I like to be prepared if we need it. You might hit a rest stop or roadside turnout where you want to use some water. And if the...

lithium battery / 30amp power supply

We have the 80 amp version. The original charger was 80 amp so I stuck with that.

lithium battery / 30amp power supply

We just upgraded to lithium batteries in our 2018 Cyclone, and I did replace the converter/charger with a lithium compatible one. The Progressive Dynamics one in our rig was not rated for lithium batteries. You could check the model number of your charger and check their website to see if it's...

    Back up camera 2022 fuel

We use the Furrion Vision S camera on our Cyclone. Works great as an observation camera. I use it basically as a rear view so I can see what's going on behind while heading down the road. I've found it helps a lot. I bought the version that also has the side view cameras, but I've found I...

Where are all the Landmarks, Big Horns and Big Country's??

Interesting that today on RV.com, Camping World's website, they name the Big Horn as one of the best 5th wheel RV's of 2023. So at least someone out there is still promoting the Heartland rigs!

    TPMS

Thanks for the reminder! And we have the repeater in our Cyclone. It's mounted in the front bay next to the batteries. Never have had a problem getting a signal in the cab of the truck.

5th Wheel Length to Maximize Park Access

We travel with a 45 foot long Cyclone, and if you plan ahead you can almost always find places to accommodate rigs that large. Yes, you won't be able to stay inside most national parks. But there are usually commercial campgrounds just outside the parks where you can stay. We haven't found...

Where are all the Landmarks, Big Horns and Big Country's??

We just returned from a trip from Oklahoma to Maryland, and we also saw quite a few Grand Design rigs compared to Heartland rigs. Interestingly though, at the Navy Solomons camp in Maryland, we were one of several Cyclones there. So maybe it does vary regionally. And I found the recent news...

2015 Heartland Big Country 3650 RL.

We leave our inverter on all the time. If we should lose shore power at the campground, the inverter would make sure the refrigerator keeps running. And as mentioned, the inverter as installed from the factory usually only powers the one outlet for the refrigerator. It does not proved 120v...

    Progressive 50 AMP SP

The Hughes Power Watchdog on our Cyclone usually shows about 15 amps for each air conditioner running. We have Dometic Brisk 2 units. When I run 2 of the AC's I usually see about 15 amps on each power leg, so no problem at all running both on 50 amp service.

    Fuel Station Not Functioning

In our Cyclone, there is a rocker switch in the main control panel that turns on the 15 minute timer for the fuel pump. You have to turn that on first, then turn on the lever at the fuel pump to dispense fuel. On the generator, does your Fuel have 1 or 2 fuel tanks? Our Cyclone has 2 tanks...

New water pump, water still going into fresh tank while in "City" position

We had issues with the original Anderson 4-way valve in our Cyclone several times. Replaced the cartridge once which worked for a while, then acted up again. Finally replaced the original plastic valve with the new brass version a couple years ago and haven't had any problems since. I would...

    City water connection

One time we had an issue with water coming out of the city water connection when running the on board water pump. It was obvious the check valve in the city water connection was sticking open. I got it to close again by pushing on the spring loaded ball inside with a small screwdriver. To...

    Flickering LED lights.

I found our replacement lights on etrailer.com. You can enter the year, make and model of your rig and search for lights and for me it brought up a few suggestions, one of which was the exact match for our lights.

Right legs "leak", left legs a no go

I've read before that several years ago Lippert actually wrote in their instructions that you could use the level up jacks to change a tire. But they changed that to the warning you see now due to legal implications. Basically they were afraid of liability if something went wrong. That being...

    Flickering LED lights.

I have also replaced several puck lights in our 2018 Cyclone. Seems to be a recurring issue with the OEM puck lights. Interestingly, I haven't had a single failure of the replacements I installed. It's just the OEM lights that keep failing. I've bought replacements through etrailer, and like...

    Trim piece needed

If it was me, I'd pry off that entire piece of trim from the bottom of that cabinet. Then take it to a local lumber store (Lowe's, Home Depot) and see if they have something about the same size and style you like. Cut the new trim to the same length to fit the cabinet, stain it to match, or...

    2019 4007 external speakers

Not sure about your 4007, but on our Cyclone 4005 the outside speakers are controlled by the radio in the garage area. Have to toggle it to Zone B for the outside speakers.

Replacement battery for our 2021 Mallard M260?

We have Interstate deep cycle Marine/RV batteries in our Cyclone and they work well for us. Got us through the Alaska trip last year. But if you want to spend a little more, AGM batteries are a good option as they are sealed batteries so you don't have to worry about checking water levels...

    TSD Card

Wow, that's great news that we hadn't seen yet since we haven't started our summer travels. I checked the stations around here in Oklahoma and found the same thing, around an 80 cent per gallon discount. Makes Love's the cheapest option around here!

Sanitizing Fresh Water Tank & System

That's exactly the way I load the sanitizing solution on our Cyclone. I put the Andersen valve in the tank fill setting, attach a small transfer pump to the hose connection and use the transfer pump to pump the solution from a bucket into the fresh water tank, and then fill the tank the rest of...

    Warranty Issue

When we bought our Cyclone, it was very clear that the Heartland warranty only covers what is built by Heartland. Warranties for components like appliances are always covered by the manufacturer of that appliance. I think the only recourse would be if it was discovered that Heartland damaged...
