Thanks, It seems like your truck measurements are really close to mine. 2.5" of bed clearance is cutting it kind of close isn't it? lol

    Need help with measurements bad!!!

Hello all. We are getting ready to upgrade to a fifth wheel when our house closes. I'm about to go insane trying to figure out if my truck is too high for a fifth wheel. I have a 2006 F-250 lifted 6" with 37" tires. I have spoke with customer service reps and measured hitch heights and pin box...

    Help!!!

Glad you got it fixed, but even more glad that you are a man of integrity. So many people would have just ran it in manually and said let the dealership fool with it. Thanks for standing out in the crowd.

How to you like the extra leg stabilizers? I've been looking at them for a while. Also looking at adding a set of manual scissor jacks mid way to help take a little bounce out.

    Anyone else have a BH280?

I don’t have that model of pioneer but I do have a DS310 which is basically the same exact thing, I too had shaving, staples and sawdust in every floor vent. I too had to adjust my slide, it wasn’t too/bottom but had to move mine forward about 1”.

    Temp detector for dogs?

I bought a grill thermometer from Walmart that don’t power off by itself. When we are gone from the RV with the dogs left inside I set it up and have our iPad turned to where we can look at the thermometer via a security camera app. I use the “presence” app just because it was free and I can...

Checking to see when “full” is full.

Trailer was level. When my wife said the kitchen sink wouldn’t drain and the tanks was full I thought no way it’s full, if so then water would have ran over the tub by about 2’. But sure enough it was full. Drained out a little bit and water level went down. It only has one gray tank. Wish it...

    Brannon’s Pioneer DS310 mods

I used a tv mount that can swivel and tilt. There’s a stud dead center of where the two doors meet when opened and just enough gap in between for the mount to fit without interfering with them. I just used 2 lag screws to attach.

Checking to see when “full” is full.

We have always been cautious about over filling our gray tank. So we take a “RV” shower and use a big pot to wash/rinse dishes in. Well last week we was at a site that has a gray water dump so I wanted to see just how much past “full” was actually full. I kept watching the bath tub so see when...

A home made change that makes a lot of sense!!!

Thanks for the very detailed write up. That gives me more reason to do it, now I have all instructions. I have done a couple mods to mine, but hurried through it and didn’t match the stain perfectly and have never went back and corrected it. But that’s just my lack of patience in wanting to get...

Am I getting the wool pulled over my eyes?

We bought our Pioneer in Nov. 2017 at Camping world. We also bought the hitch work too. (I know I got taken on it) but anyway, the hitch is a Curt Mdg (Camping World) WDH. It’s rated at 10,000 trailer and 1000 tongue. Well I weighed the last outting and tongue weight was 1260lb I have nothing in...

First trip in our first TT

Even though the last post here was in 2014 I figured this was the correct place. Well, the first trip is in the books. We stayed at McKinney COE in Actworth Ga. It went pretty uneventful. Arrived Friday afternoon and got set up with no issues at all. My parents which are life long RV’ers...

Got weighed today. What do I need to do?

Without bars the front rose about 1 1/8. With the bars it’s just under 1/4 rise from regular driving height. The rear is still about 1 1/4 or so low.

Got weighed today. What do I need to do?

Thank you for all the replies. Yesterday on the way home I did stop at a large level lot and set it up per instruction. I leveled the trailer and took coupling measurement, took measurement of truck ball height. They was within 1/4 of each other. Took measurements of front and rear of truck...

Got weighed today. What do I need to do?

Here’s a pic of before I added the extra washers to the hitch head. The front is 1/4” highter than normal height and the rear is 1 1/4 lower. The trailer is level. I have not measured the level coupler height VS the normal ball height because the ball mount is already in its lowest hole and I...

Got weighed today. What do I need to do?

Good question. I’ll have to look in the morning, but the TV tires never really crossed my mind. - - - Updated - - - i tried that too. I tightened up a link on the chain and the bars are not parallel at all, so I added another 2 washers to the head angle stud. That got the bars more level...

Got weighed today. What do I need to do?

Yes I am using a WDH. It came with 1 friction style sway bar, but I installed a second one today after I weighed. It helped a lot, but not completely. One varible i didnt mention is tow vehicle has a 6” lift and 37” mud tires.

    Brannon’s Pioneer DS310 mods

Couple more last min add-ons. With 3 daughters and wife a full mirror is a must. I also plan to add one on the inside of the bunk house door. We had these wine holders and since we don’t drink and a 2 liter Mtn. Dew won’t fit in them we made them a towel holder. But they only hold 4...

    Brannon’s Pioneer DS310 mods

Couple more mods. One of the more popular ones is the sewer hose storage made from vinyl fence post. I like the added room for the hose, and I mounted it near the sewer connector. I also bought a battery box fom Walmart and mounted it with the other battery box. It holds all the sewer...

Newbie question about removing WDH bars

i have thought about running 2 sway controls as well. It came with one, I’m pulling it with a lifted F250 on 37” tires. So it alone has a lot of surface area. I’ll try this run next week, it’s only about 50 miles from home with half back road and half interstate travels. Thanks again to all...

Newbie question about removing WDH bars

Thanks for the replies, but I’m not looking to replace the hitch just yet. Next weekend will be the maiden voyage of the TT we have. It’s only been pulled from the dealership to home. I’m just curious about the spring bars and steep descent sites.

Newbie question about removing WDH bars

We have a 35’ 4” TT, 2006 F-250 and WHD with chain style tension bars. I know when backing to remove the friction style anti sway, but I have a question about the bars. Lets say i back i to a site that is down hill until I reach the actual pad and when I get in position the camper is level...

    Brannon’s Pioneer DS310 mods

Campfire, I tied my power into the existing awning roll lights. I just have to use the remote to control the different strips. So I can have one on, or both on, so on and so forth. Brannon’s Pioneer DS310 mods

    New Pioneer owners in Ga

Yep. Got all those areas too. As well as under the beds, couch and table seat storage. Pretty much took off all panels, cushions and plywood covers and vacuumed everything. I was surprised by the amount of dust that was on everything too. But doing a good deep clean revealed some issues I may...

    Brannon’s Pioneer DS310 mods

Greg, I was looking under the sink at the pump, water heater and other things in there and mine has a pretty big void under the sink and towards the door/Wall. One day I’m going to attempt either a slide out cabinet for trash can or either some built in pockets to put misc. stuff in. Such a big...

Jerry, I do know what you mean about sawdust and metal shavings everywhere. I too removed the duct louvers and vacuumed out enough sawdust to use for kindeling. Lol. Brannon’s Pioneer DS310 mods

Re: Brannon’s DS310 mods. Another mod is cabinet tension rods. I had read that some of the spring rods don’t have much tension on them so while at the hardware store I picked up some 5/8 wood dowel and cut it so it has to be tapped into place. These things are TIGHT!!! It didn’t scratch or...
