A few clarifications and opinions needed about the 26LRSS

In searching for info on the NT 26LRSS, found your post. Would you please share sizes for the gray and black tanks? Also, will jackets hang in the cabinet space at the foot of the bed? Just discovered that a '13 unit is available in our town. We are former owners of NT 26RKS, sold...

Need info on travel trailer with bedroom slide out

Wondering if there is a Heartland TT around 30 ft long with the following: rear living area with slideout and bedroom slideout. Thought about going to a 5th wheel but really don't want to move up to 3/4 ton truck. Have found an Outback 277RL that would work (34 ft). Would much prefer a...

North Trail Sighting I 77 in NC

I am a bit envious even tho we just took delivery of our Savoy last week! We tried very hard to stay with a Heartland unit but it was not to be. Had a deal set up to receive a Sundance 28RLS from Atlanta. 2 days after arranging, it was totally flooded in heavy rains. Our home dealer (NC) has...

North Trail Sighting I 77 in NC

Saw a North Trail heading south on I 77 yesterday afternoon. It was located between Statesville and Mooresville. Only caught a quick glimpse of it; enough to see there was a window at the rear & the NT graphics.

    Bumps under wallpaper

Hate to say that this looks similar to a"pimpled ceiling" we had in a travel trailer a few yrs back. It was a new, LEMON unit , not a Heartland product. Ours turned out to be water damage; source of water entry could not be detected by dealer. You may want to take a straight pin or sewing...

    Extended Warranty Cost

We have done this also. Just reviewed the Good Sam Continued Service Program which looks pretty reasonable. Can even be transferred to another RV if sold within 3 yr. coverage timetable.

    Sundance Travel Trailers

I see the Sundance section is listed as "5th wheels." Where is the section for travel trailers? Must not be too many of them...... I learned that Heartland no longer makes the 26 or 28 travel trailer models for 2010. We are prospective owners of an 09 Sundance 28 RL.....waiting for...

Our CW has led us to believe that Heartlands are gone due to Keystone RV. Local CW is loaded with Keystone models. :( And yes, just checked & learned that Keystone is under Thor Industries!!

Camping World Kicks Heartland out in Texas

Really sorry to see that Camping World has severed ties with Heartland. A year ago our local CW was covered with North Trails & Heartland 5th wheels. Now, about 3 left over units. What we hear is that it all has to do with Keystone RV. Something about the Montana 5ver & Heartland 5vers. So...

    2010 Sundance Brochures

Thanks for listing the website for 2010 brochure. Thinking about moving up to a larger unit. Was disappointed that there is no Sundance 280 RL listed for new models. :( The shortest RL for TT units seems to be 310RLS which is almost 34 feet. Seems that North Trail is still making...

    Camping World

Jim, does this include warranty work on a Sundance purchased from a dealership other than CW?? Curious because our CW dealership is no longer selling Heartlands. We may trade our NT for a Sundance at non CW location.

    21FBS versus Komfort Lite 221LS

We looked at the North Trail 21. 2 great features I remember are the amount of counter space around sink area and the window in the bathroom. You might check those points against the Komfort.

    Anyone own a North Trail 26RKS ?

The NT 26RKS is great. A 19" TV will fit on the shelf which is located across from the sofa which is in the slide. As recommended, lots of info on the NT site. Yes, definitely go for the upgraded mattress!! The only thing I know about that has been added to the 2010 are sink covers. I...

The 26 tows well! We have Reese WD bars and sway bar + Prodigy brake controller. TV is 08 Tundra double cab 5.7L The wide Trax suspension is good. Our previous combo was a 23' Trail Lite towed by Tundra with 5.3L engine. Our gas mileage averages 10-11 mpg which seems to be decent...

    New Member, Looking for Information

We are owners of the 26 and also considered the 21. The 21 is the most popular of the NT models. I think it is ample for 2 people. Most of the living space is in a U shaped dinette. We camp with 2 dogs and could not resist the generous storage & space in the 26. There is nothing that we do not...

OK<the plastic taste in water and ice....

Try "Taste Pure" it is a liquid water treatment that you can put into tank if you are using from freshwater tank. For city water connection, try a Taste Pure filter that attaches inline hose.

    Window Awning

Thanks for the info. We accidentally found an awning at a steal price with all the hardware. Have seen the installation video & my husband is pretty handy so I think we can DIY. This is from CW and made by A & E with Sunbrella fabric.

    Mice wrecking havoc

All suggestions are good ...... we use red fox urine. Buy it at Dicks Sporting Goods in hunting section. They also sell small plastic clip on containers with cotton pads to go inside. Spray the pads & hang (wire works well) the containers from the underside of TT. Refresh spray as needed...

    Converter - doing its job??

Thanks for posting this. Seems like I read you had dry camped for a week at a time & did not have problems with the slide. Did you use a generator? Just wondering about a few days of dry camping with no generator & minimal use of lights. Is the solution to use a 2nd battery in order to pull...

    Any Ideas ?

If you like the idea of the pouch from Bed, Bath & Beyond......you can also use a generic shoe holder. The type that hangs & is made of fabric with many pouches. Just remove hanger & tuck the excess length under the mattress. BTW, we have a hanging clear pocket thing we use in the closet to...

    Intermittent slide problem

So sorry you are having this issue. We want to know what is going on with this as well. I assume this slide issue just started happening; is this correct? Please keep us posted as to what you learn from Heartland. 2009 26RKS also!

    fridge noise

We have an 09 North Trail. On a recent trip, experienced the same buzzing. Our fridge is in the slide & has the top/bottom access panels as described. I removed the top panel (freezer) & saw one of the fans. Moved some pieces of surrounding insulation & it seemed to cut down on the buzzing...

    26 rks heater

We have an 09 26RKS. As said, I posted regarding the mod of adjustable vent particularly for bathrm duct. Ours was so hot & very little heat was getting into bedrm. Part of the reason is that the ducting into bedrm is much narrower & of course longer run from the furnace. If you don't have hot...

Sewer discharge hose storage - North Trail

A friend uses the tube and slides it into the exterior storage area. We use a plastic tote (rectangular) that we store on the sewer side. Easy to slide out at the dump station. There will be some remaining water even tho you try to shake out. As said, just dry out once you are home. I...

Manual Override on Slide - Where is it? How is it done?

In the 26RKS North Trail, it is located behind the fascia. This is the decorative "wood" border that outlines the slideout on the interior. The border has to be removed by taking out screws. Then the shaft appears so one can crank manually.

    Sewer Hose Storage

As desscribed we have the built in container on the off door side but don't use it due to it's inconvenience. We keep our hose & several fittings in a Rubbermaid rectangular box. We store in compartment on the sewer drain side. A friend has one of the white tubes that he slides into storage...
