Ghostbusters needed - Ghost in the machine (Any replacement for the membrane/capacitance key thermostat)?

Hi: My Fuel 250 has it's 2nd 'touch' type thermostat. I'm not a fan of this thermostat, it's tough to use as it doesn't always register the touch, etc. I'd rather one with mechanical buttons. My issue is this - In the summer, several times I didn't touch the thermostat, but it would go off...

Any secret troubleshooting techniques for the HappyJac bed lift?

Well, I finally got around to trouble shooting it. Turns out it's the wire from the switch to the controller. I was able to move the bed both directions by jumping the switch connectors to ground first, then by using a cable I made up between the switch and the controller. I also redid the...

Any secret troubleshooting techniques for the HappyJac bed lift?

I'll double check the chain but I would think if it was jammed I'd blow the fuse (Like I did when I overrode the down) (It's all the way down). Thanks for all the advise though, everything helps.

    Sewer hose storage

I supported the center of mine also with 2 clamps made for sewer hose holders so it's supported by the edge and two other spots. It doesn't move on the door.

Any secret troubleshooting techniques for the HappyJac bed lift?

This is on a FUEL-250. I was supposed to go on vacation the end of this week so I went out to the trailer to prep it to load my Spyder (3 wheeled motorcycle) and the bed was dead up/down. Checked all the fuses, seemed ok. On the plus side, that trip has been cancelled for non FUEL-250...

    Sewer hose storage

I put that very one on the back door (bottom) of my FUEL-250. I first tried mounting it on the left side up front. (I attached another metal arm way up front to support it) but it was closer to the generator exhaust than I wanted. Eventually i want to fabricate a side to side 8' one that goes...

Maiden voyage Fuel 250 with two street bikes

This is the first time I've used 'stands'. I always have used simple wheel chocks but strapping the bike in requires a lot of finesse, or a 2nd person. I put the inserts in for my Stainles Steel Chocks (I have 4 in a 4 place Snowmobile trailer), then decided to put the self locking chock/stand...

    Replacement thermostat

Ordered a replacement (Thermostat only) - Unfortunately after I saw the bluetooth comment. :) Installed it and it works much better than the old one. Much more positive pushes.

    Replacement thermostat

It already does have the little foam things inside the buttons. Sometimes I need to press many times to get it to do something, sometimes on press and it seems to stick. I was hoping it was a simple thermostat and not an electronic head to a control unit (as it seems like it is now) so I...

    Replacement thermostat

I've now grown to hate the haunted electronic thermostat in my FUEL 250. I want one with a separate heat/cool and fan (auto/lo/high) switch and then a temp adjustment. Ideally non battery powered. I know I can look at regular thermostats but am looking for recommendations from folks. Anyone...

    Strapping down a Harley Bagger

I have a fuel 250 and did two trips with a large Indian bagger and a VROD with bags. I used 5/16" threaded inserts 1" deep (the floor thickness). Over the wheel tie downs it's thicker. I got them on Amazon and they came with my chocks. I used a smaller (not free standing) lock chock from HF...

    Heat strip for A/C?

Does anyone know if you can get a heat strip for the 15K base A/C unit? I can turn on the A/C fan with the heat (No compressor) which makes me think they may make one. I have one on an old Lance Slide in I have and it works great for mild weather. Draws about 1250 watts and only outputs air...

    Bunk bed ladder?

Anyone know who makes a 72 or 76" ladder? I tried the one above and it didn't even reach the floor. :O) I extended it to 66 or 68" (See pics) but it's not quite at as much of an angle 12" away) as I'd like and the first rung is now 'wicked' high. :) I can easily make the ladder higher but...

    Sofa/Bed stowage for transport

Thanks for the responses. When I had two motorcycles in there I had the bunks against the wall and that was fine, but I could see where having them up against the ceiling to get a little extra width could help.

    Sofa/Bed stowage for transport

Hi: I don't have a specific manual on the sofa beds, just the Happijac manual for the lifts. My question is on transport. I thought for transport you either had to have the sofa beds in the down (bed or bench position) with the leg out, or up and hanging down against the walls. I see a...

    Fuel 250 questions

Hi: I have a new Fuel 250 and have a few questions: In the instrumentation status cluster, there in addition to Batt, Fresh, Grey, and Black water there is an Aux button - Is this functional on something - If not are their kits available to use it? (I'm thinking either for propane or the...

Maiden voyage Fuel 250 with two street bikes

I should have got more pictures of the trailer but here they are. Found the perfect chock positions for two bikes. The leftmost one used the front tie downs on the steel auto-chock which was bolted in 4 places to the floor. (I used 5/16" recessed inserts about an inch long). The front one was...

New Fuel 250 - Generator question

Where would it be? I didn't see anything looking like a switch in the generator bay, would it be near the converter where AC comes in? I don't plan on ever starting the generator with it plugged in but I'd want to check. ;) Dealer thought it was automatic. And the generator came from the...

New Fuel 250 - Generator question

Hi: I just got a Fuel 250 and it made it's maiden voyage carrying two road bikes. I've already made a lot of mods and have some planned. It was awesome on the trip. Two questions I have (so far) that I can't find answers to are: 1. I can't find any sort of manual generator/shore power...
