Emailed Tredit yesterday and they want me to take a picture of one of the tires and send to them. I gave them the VIN number, make, and model of the camper but they want a picture. Thought they might have what they needed with the info I gave them. The picture will only tell them it has 8 lugs...
I'm needing to order a new tire rim for my Bighorn camper and do not know the bolt pattern or model number of the correct tire rim or the axle itself. I have a 2006 Bighorn camper model number 3655RD.
Here lately when i bring in my 4 slides it gets to the third and fourth slide to pull in and it just stops. I'll wait a few seconds he the button again and it will start again. I have to do this about 3-5 times before they are all in. it started about 6 months ago with just one cycle and is...
Just installed a Dometic non-ducted, 13,500, low profile AC in MBR. It has froze up 3-4 times on me to the point I can barely here the fan blowing at all much less blowing anything into the cabin. The installer told me that the unit has to 'cycle' since it has no thermostat and to put the dial...
One other thing I forgot to mention. The day I bought this 5th wheel used from Camping World I drove it off the lot with 80psi in all four tires. At that time didn't think about it. They preped this rig for me and told me to run 80psi in the tires. REALLY, this is a G rated tire with 110psi not...
My thoughts on both reply's above. I have a 2006 3655RD(discontinued model now). Looking hard a Goodyear G6143 RST Tires to the tune of $350 each which means I will cancel Christmas this year!
I recently had a blowout and believe it's time to get all new tires for my Bighorn whick weighs in the 12K lb range. The person who changed my tire works for a company that does all the tire work for a local RV Dealer. He told me 10Ply tires is all they have ever put on campers no matter the...
I 've noticed underneath my slides that a plastic strip guard had come loose. I need to replace it but can not find them anywhere. The wires it was protecting haved rubbed the sheathing so bad that copper is showing. The plastic guuard is about 4" wide by 1/4" thick and is about 3-4 feet long...
When I first turn on my furnace (on cold nights) the fan comes on and makes a real loud noise. After it runs for awhile it seems to be less noisy. It's almost like a loud fibration or maybe the fan itself needs replacing. I assume there are 2 fans in the furnace. One for safety to blow all gases...
When I pull my slide in the decorative wood trim on the slide is rubbing my wall trim going intio my rear living room. It's almost like the slide itself is off center or maybe not lined up correctly. On one occasion it even stalled my pump and stoppded. I pushed it back out and was able to get...
Does anybody know the weight limit for people on the roof? I go to a lot of Nascar races and watch them from my roof and was wanting to know. My gut feeling and common sense tells me that the ladder is inteeded for someone to access the roof for maintenance and is not for spectator viewing.
They read off to me that it's cooling at 30-40 degrees when i pick it up but they can't keep it hooked on AC all the time b/c they have other rv's to work on so my rv fridge is off when i pick it up every time. They just tell me they fixed it 'this time' and read the work order to me.
I talked to Dometic about my fridge not cooling but my freezer works fine and I asked them about the thermo sensor attached to the fins which should be all the way up. He told me if the thermo sensor was bad then the fridge would freeze up.
Got my rv back last week and now they said they found a wire that was cut or something...got it back home and now it's cooling in the lower 60's...still isn't cooling but the freezer remains frozen. Has anybody ever seen this before...I'm beginning to think it will never be fixed. HELP!
Be nice if Dometic just made a different thermo switch which would come on a lower temp. I should hear something this week on what they found wrong, if any, with the fridge. I will share these ideas and comments with them.
i looked at my service ticket the last time i picked it up and they stated that they 'tested the temp sensor to the fan with a heat gun and got the fan to come on but should come on at a lower temp than what the heat gun puts out' so they replaced the fan temp sensor. i wonder what temp...
i thought when you opened the door to the fridge and thus raised the temp up that some switch would have to kick on and cool it back down. your saying when the temp on the back exterior of the fridge reaches a certain temp it should kick on.
the other meaning the fan side? the service tech said they 'put' another swithc on but all i know is when my fridge is in the lower 50's i should be able to walk outside and hear the fans correct?
if the fan is located on the back side of the slideout on the top vent all i would need is to bypass the switch and see if the fan works or just add another fan?
fridge not cooling enough
my fridge want cool below 50 degrees on the coldest setting. the freezer works fine. i had it surfaced and they checked 'everything' and found the fan temp sensor bad. well went camping this past weekend and same thing. when i bought it used in May and turned it on AC...
I have a Dometic fridge that only will cool in the low 50's on the 'coldest' setting either on gas or AC. The Freezer works fine. I've had it serviced once and they checked the cooling unit, the gas, the thermostat, and replaced the fan temp sensor. Well went camping this weekend and did the...
Yeah...tell me about it. The bottle is sometimes half empty or half full it seems on this forum. We camp maybe once a month mainly about 15 miles from our house so the good news is we're not fulltimers by no means. Anything you tow behind your truck is heavy and takes various tolls on your...
Thats what I thought too. The maximum amount of trailer weight cannot exceed 15,500lbs according to Ford's website so the DOT or FED's would have to adhere to this as well. I keep a copy in my glove box just in case I see blue lights in my rear mirror.
According too ford.fleet, our trucks rear axle GAWR is 6100lbs., the front is 5200lbs. The F-350 is almost the same. You want make any lbs. improvement on the rear axle i don't think. The rear axle as is with nothing in the bed doesn't have that much weight anyhow.
the truck weights 7K, the camper weighs 12K pounds with a hitch weight of 2K...the manual on my truck states no more then 23K GCWR...i've talked to a few contractors in the area that pull goose necks with bulldozders on them with the same truck and they state as long as you don't exceed the GCWR...
