We replaced our fan with one that is on about a 4" downrod. It now works great and is much quieter than the original.

John, I have the 2950 & think the dry pin weight must be to compensate for the rear kitchen. The kitchen usually carries more load than any other area of the camper. The added weight in the kitchen takes a little off the in weight.

I am a new owner of a Big Country 2950rk and also previously pulled a 25' TT. My dealer installed a Reese manual slider on my Dodge 2500 short bed. While it is probably not necessary, I use the slider in the camp ground when parking and also at home backing down the drive. Dick
