    PPS and door locks

Just a thought, could the body computer be going bad? It happened to me with my Impala, made the car do all kinds of goofy things. Started with the locks, then lights, radio and wipers started acting up. It did it with the car running and shut off.

    Poll: Overall Dealership Experience

On the sales end of things I would give Boat N RV world in Hamburg, PA a 5, our salesman was wonderful. They might as well do away with their terrible service department, it's useless in my book. And when I called the GM to complain he was down right rude and more or less told me to take my...

EVENT: Heartland Chapter Rally: PA, New Holland - 6/11/2010 to 6/13/2010

Jim, you deffinetly need to fall off the wagon and go to Shady Maple. It is by far the largest buffet I have ever seen.

I'm not positive but I think Shady Maple might have a seperate room for large groups. I'll be sure not to eat for a few days before going there! Love that place.

    Pine Grove, PA KOA

Had the pleasure of staying at the 2009 PA rally spot over the weekend for Halloween festivities. They had initially charged us holiday rates when we booked and gave us a refund when we arrived. They dropped their prices from holiday to regular which was a pleasant surprise upon arrival! They...

Bad Experience Looking for Rally Site

20 bucks to look around??? I have never heard of something so rediculous! I have never come across a campground that charged to look around. Its obvious they don't need the business. Oh well, their loss!

    Help! We've sprung another leak!!

Thank you for all the suggestions. We will be in a seasonal sight next summer and the campground also requires an incoming water check valve (not sure why?) but we will be adding a regulator to our hardware store list too.

    Help! We've sprung another leak!!

We sprung several more leaks over the course of the weekend. The water pressure was so high at the campground the leaks just kept popping up. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? I realize everywhere we go will have different water pressures, it sure would be nice not to be constantly...

    Help! We've sprung another leak!!

Cableman, does your slide have an awning over it? Ours does and I wasn't sure if it was on from factory or if the previous owners had it installed. Thankfully we haven't had any leaks at the slide, however this is our fourth plumbing leak. I hope your dealer is alot easier to deal with than ours...

    Help! We've sprung another leak!!

Looks like we may have found the problem (fingers crossed) leaky fitting at the tank. Water is back on and so far so good, thanks for the suggestions.

    Help! We've sprung another leak!!

Set up camp last night, after the city water connection was on for about 30 minutes water began dripping from underneath the trailer. It has been back to the dealer twice for the same issue. They first fixed the outside shower, then replaced the pump, I am not taking it back there again. We are...

    Camper cover?

I happen to have the same dilema. When we had our travel trailer I ordered too big, now I just ordered one on ebay for our fifth wheel which is 26'. I ordered the one that is up to 26'. Will let you know after next weekend how it fits. One more trip out and then time to put her away :( Most of...

    Low clearance

That is so funny. We have a low clearance railroad bridge here in town where I live (11'6"), it snags about a truck per week. Funny thing is there are a million signs leading up to it and huge flashing lights, people can't read or see apparently. Scary that people like that have CDL's!

    3612 cover

We just bought a new cover on ebay also. We had a generic cheapie cover for our old travle trailer, it was too big and the wind tore it to shreds. The one we just bought is supposed to be a custom fit, so we'll see. One more trip out and time to cover it up :(

    Winter outdoor uncovered storage

I have never tried this but a friend of mine swears that if you scatter a little human hair around, you will never get mice. I only had trouble with mice one year and I much would've preferred the hair over the smell of moth balls.

Its official, we are "half timers"

Secured a spot on the Broadkill River in Lewes, Deleware for next summer. Any Heartlanders in the area next year, please stop by and visit us at Steamboat Landing on Route 1, site 605. Now, we need to find a boat, anyone know of anything reasonable for sale?? Nothing fancy, just want to do a...

    Financing question

We financed for 15 years at 9% through M & T Bank. We bought used, so I know the rate is a little higher than if we would've bought new. I think on new ones you can go as long as 20 years. They like to see you put 20% down. I hope we can pay it off before the 15 years is up but I like to keep...

Poll: If in the Market, Would You Buy Another Heartland

Our initial dealer experience left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth to the point that I couldn't even bring myself to like the Heartland at first. We owned 2 travel trailers prior to this and traded in a Sunline for the Heartland. I loved the Sunline for its quality, we just outgrew it and...

We are taking a drive to Lewes this weekend to check out two possible campgrounds to put our North Trail next summer. Does anyone have any experiences with Tall Pines campground or Steamboat Landing? Also, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.:)
