I just made reservations. We'll be arriving on 9/24 and leaving on 9/28. Looking forward to seeing you all again. And, once again, even though we have a Heartland 5th wheel we will be camping in some other brand. A bit bigger then what we had last year.
I sent an email to Heartland last night and received a call bright and early this morning. After some discussion he quickly determined that these were Mor Ryde and not Kinro (owned by Lippert). He asked for pictures which I sent immediately and 15 minutes later received a call from Mor Ryde...
There is a rather long thread on this forum about quite a few people that have had similar failures back when Heartland first went to slam doors.

And yet CS says they are almost certain it is a Kinro. Very frustrating. My next RV will most certainly not be a Heartland product... which makes me sad because we have made some fabulous friends. But I should also mention that our next RV will almost certainly be a motor home which leaves...
The basement floor is finished. Thanks to the help of some camping friends we got the rest of the old floor torn out last weekend and the new floor put in. I used pressure treated plywood instead of particle board and put indoor / outdoor carpet down instead of the rubber mat. The carpet will...
That's what they look like. Guess ill call Kinro first since CS said they are almost sure mine came from Kinro (Keno) and see what they say and then try MorRyde.

I thought also, from comments on the forum, that the doors were made by Mor Ryde. But Heartland CS says they are almost certain that the doors came from Keno. Another reason I'm not thrilled with CS. It took them a week and a half to determine that they are almost certain. That sure helps me...
Here (if it works is a photo of the front hinge showing the delaminating of the door. It rubbed from day one and dealer tried to adjust but there is no adjusting. I should have raised more of a ruckus back then but didn't know that it would get this bad or that it was leaking. I believe the...
The design of the doors was changed in 2010 / 2011. From what I read the problem has gone away with the new design. My problem is not so much with the faulty doors as the lack of customer support. Heartland would / should have better contacts with their suppliers. Does Kino care if I don't buy...
I have already replaced the seal. The doors are warped so bad that they still won't seal. Even with the new seal I can slide a 3x5card back and forth with no resistance.

I keep reading on the forum about the Great service you get from Heartland Customer Service. That has not really been my experience. I recently called when the floor in our BH basement collapsed. I was looking for some kind of assistance and all I got was basically "Good luck."
So, we fixed it...
At one point in time I was told that the vent is there due to the built in vacumn. I'm not sure if that is true or not. Can't even remember who told me that (I think it might have been the dealer on the original walk through.) I was told not to block it or the vacumn would not work properly. I...
Nope. We have the light you are talking about and this whole is not that. It is approximately 2 feet in front of the step housing. Looks like I'm not the only one that has it. I'm not worried about it. I was simply curious as to what the heck it is for.
While I'm asking questions, I did find something rather interesting. I have included a picture of a hole behind the wall. This is on the door side of the coach just in front of the steps. If you look out this hole you can see the enclosure for the steps. Any idea if this is supposed to be there...
If you ever want to come over to the east side of the state just let me know and we'll make reservations for you. The campground we are at is a private campground but as long as there are vacancies then guests are welcome. Jeff and Joy also have purchased a membership.
We do leave the water on when we are not there but we are seldom gone for more then an hour when we leave. The water pressure in the campground is not very high and we do have a pressure reducer and use it every time. You are spot on about the trickle on the front side of the UDC. That is...
We will be coming in on September 25 and leaving on September 29. We were going to come in on September 24 but didn't want to drive that far after work.
We pulled the rubber cover off the floor on Saturday. The OSB was completly soaked. We were able to simply break pieces off and throw it away. There were supports but they were also rotten. We could break the 2 x 2 supports with our bare hands. Water had accumulated under the floor on the vapor...
Thanks for the feedback Jim. I have read the complete saga of Michael and Kelly on their blog. (BTW - It is great reading. Kelly does a fabulous job.) The blog has a day to day account of Michael's repairs. I do plan to try to find the leak. We did have water in the basement approximately two...
I did not unload it to take it to the dealer. It is only about 90 minutes from our campground where we store the coach and since I didn't think that they would need to get into the basement I didn't unload it. We have not removed everything from the basement for several years. I did look in the...
We have a rubber diamond plate type cover on the floor that keeps water from getting down to the particle board. I have found some water on the top of it before and have pulled the wall and inspected all of the plumbing and have not been able to find a plumbing leak. We did find quite an...
Really not sure at this point. I'm just going by what the guy at Heartland sevice told me. One thing you can be sure of is that I will find some way to put supports in and I don't think I will use particle board. Probably marine grade plywood that will not have the structural integrity...
Our 2010 Bighorn 3670RL normally does not get towed. We use it at a members only private campground and it stays in storage except when we are using it. Recently I had to tow it to the dealer to get the ODS jack replaced. And that's when the problems began. The dealer did a fine job and I went...
I just called and the event coordinator will call me on Monday. We will be there but not bringing the Bighorn. We have bought a truck camper for traveling and will be bringing that. Coming in on Tuesday night (assuming we can still get in.)

An alternative would be to have two simultaneous sessions. Yes, people would have to choose which one to come to but I think the seminars, etc. would be better if they were longer and the only way to do that would be to either add a day or double up and have two sessions at the same time.
I finally took the time to fix this. I removed the light and drilled through the wall into the closet like you suggested. I ran a piece of wall mount wire tray from where the wire came through to the front of the closet. I dropped from there down into the wireway that could be seen below and...
We went to the Belleville IL RV show last weekend. Although Heartland was not well represented (I saw one Heartland unit) I did see some interesting items. If imitation is the sincerest form of flatery then Heartland should be flattered. We saw serveral Keystone units (at lease I believe they...
Ladder mount - How does it work?
I looked at the picture and description of the ladder mount unit. It says that once the mount is installed you can slide the pole through the top mount and then put the bottom of the pole in the bottom mount so you never have to climb the ladder. So, my question...
Bighorn low point drains
Is this true of ALL 2010 Heartland RVs? I have a 2010 3670 and have been trying to find the low point drain. Guess I can stop looking??
Thanks for a great time
I will echo what others have said. Beth and I had a great time, regardless of the weather. Great to be able to meet some of the people that I see on the forum. Thanks to Mike and Daphna, Jim and Nancy and anyone else who had a hand in making this first rally a success. A...
Up until you said "He's a rookie" I thought you might be talking about my brother. He has a Montana (not sure of the year) and he had trouble with his landing jacks this weekend. But he ain't a rookie. Been towing 5W for about 30 years - maybe more. He is taking his in to the dealer for repair...
