really like this floor plan... we are looking for a rig to use full time for at least 2 years... a "real" bathtub is on the wish list however, something we did not think we would find ~ everyone's situation is different but for us, this would be great... we recently started looking at the toy...
thank you all for your response.... the "beefiness" of the front end is a concern as well as the weight being such a looooonnnnggg rig... the main thing I like personally is the space in the bath area allthough I would aftermarket change the sink/cabinet out~ love the open feel to the kitchen...
this is an amazing floor plan! I am wondering if any have been built to date or when we may see them being produced. If you have seen one and can post a site where photos can be viewed it would be really appreciated~
Jim... I just realized that I posted to an old notation.. was actually relieved to find out this was of the past.... at any rate, hope all is going well... Godspeed
Please keep us updated.... of course this is the right place to share this news, with friends who care and can pray with great expectation. Those endos are never fun, and sugery will be a challenge... but, one step at a time... one day at a time... You are in our prayers, on our hearts.... Godspeed
I just came across this notation and looked at your pics.... AMAZING!!!!!!!! IT is BEAUTIFUL~~~~~
awsome job, worth all the work.... BEAUTIFUL~ thxnxx so much for posting and showing that we don't have to have cookie cutter 5ers~ we really can have home sweet home on wheels~
thank you all so much for your input.... such valuable information as the plan to full time moves forward...
westtxrt10 - can you direct me to your posting regaring the electric heat system that you reference? (sorry, I just cannot seem to find)
again.... thank you all so much for your...
I discovered an add on heat system built and marketed by RV Comfort System - this is an add on unit which is compatible with 30 and 50 amp systems, for both the plenum system trunk line fastened directly to the furnace with floor registers, and the ducted system runs of 4” pipes - I have...
Welcome~~ and I am curious to know if you also own a Heartland Product, and also, curious as to your dealerships practice re: PDI and walk through procedures - ie: how much time is invested in the customer's satisfaction and, can the customer camp over night at your dealership when taking...
front living room would be so amazing! The bath area could use some rework, but the L sofa is awsome, work space in the main galley, convenient (for those of us who are gong to be working on the road) and an on board generator would be PERFECT~
Larry... even though we have never met, I too have had alot of surgery... I hope that you are finding that each day gets a little better.... take care, stay positive and think forward..... hugs and Godspeed
Gary (Lin's son)
I am wondering if the entrance door from the galley area to the rear den can be a slider rather than a hinge door? On the print, the door shows swinging into the galley area, however, in the pics I looked at of actual units, the door swings open in to the rear den.
If the sleeper sofa is open...
Scotty... thnxxx so much for sharing this winter experience! I have been following along wtih a few folks who have wintered over in the great north! This winter in particular was a true test- glad your BH performed so well! AWSOME
love your answer Rick.. haha... funny that this thread was here today.... I was walking the dogs this morning in between cracks of lightening... I was wondering about safety in a 5er during a big ole thunder storm.... made me think of my daughters reply to peps who ask, how dangerous is it to be...
thnxxx Jim..... I have read that you cannot plug in to house power without doing damage to the rv electricals.... but that being said, I am sure that not everyone adds a specific outlet for the occasional visit.. hmm.. interesting question...
makes perfect sense.... thnxx so much - my heart is smiling knowing this... we had a motor home prior - it was a bounder - and this was quite a few years ago... and we were lucky to get the darn fridge to work even when perfectly level, sitting still, plugged in bla bla bla.... thnx so much for...
oh deary ~ sounds like a BIG MESS! I am curious if if you have a dedicated 30 amp / 50 amp outlet installed at your Dads for your RV when you are home to visit? My daughter is building on to her stick and brick, and we are wondering if I should have a BIG RIG dedicated outlet installed for use...
I am trying to get a grip on the Fridge.... can it run off electric power while I pull down the road - my guess is yes, why not? It would run off the the DC power which would be being charged from my truck through the electical connection, right?
also, do most fridges come with the capability...
love the pics.... so, the skirting, just insulation board from the local Lowes, Home Depot? Very cool... hope you stay warm... will be anxious to hear how it goes as the snow flies!
Hi Mark.... I hope you do not mind my responding... I am not a Heartland owner as of yet, but hopefully soon.... I am looking for an Oakmont to full time in.... I have spent the summer visiting various camping haunts to talk to owners of Heartland and Keystone...(also was interested in the...

I plan to continue to work full time at my current job which I now do in my stick and brick home remotely - with all the options for internet...
Thank you all for posting here! Your comments and info are all so helpful~ I have been researching for the past 4 months to find out everything I can about RV's and boy, is there a lot to learn! I started out convinced that the future held a Heartland TT, North Country.... but then saw the BH -...
