As far as buying a new truck - I don't think the costs will equal out on fuel savings, going from 1 ton to 3/4 ton your ride improvement is going to be negligible. You'd be better off adding air bags or something like that to improve ride quality.
Gearing will be your single biggest gain for...
I tried the scrubbing and power washing, no luck
But we coated the roof with at least first coat today, was hoping it would be dry enough to a second but no such luck, I’ll have to finish it tomorrow.
I haven’t pulled ACs yet but I plan to at some point and coat under them.
And first coat
I have 2 areas I need to seal, front cap seal and rear cap seal
What material should I use to cover eterna bond, dicor or flex seal?
Attached photos of the two areas, getting ready to put coating down on roof but I want to seal these 2 spots as well
Rear looks like it needs the caulk scraped...
Huh, I was commenting earlier that I would do that very thing but was worried about the wiring.
I’ll take a peak and see if I have the same thing.
Did you go for the front on the other side? Or about the same position?
I'm doing haloview camera system, but that's irrelevant.
What I'm running into/thinking - most people mount their side cameras on front marker light of the camper (I have bighorn 40ft 5th wheel, 09) - my initial thoughts were I could see the front with the mirrors so I should probably mount mid...
The reason I wanted to coat the roof is the black spots I saw - I thought it was the black underside, or the top white stuff wearing off. From what I'm seeing this may be more of a clean the algae or whatever it is off. Which might mean I can clean this and delay the coating for warmer weather.
what I'm leaning towards at this moment is doing the roof... and then perhaps go back and do under the AC, it's cold currently so I'm counting on small windows of 50 degrees to get this done. Instructions say it needs to be above 40. I haven't noticed any leaks, although the vents and such...
We just bought a 2009 bighorn 3670RL I'm planning to cover the roof with paintable roof sealant.
Should I completely remove the AC unit to put this down? Or paint around it? Initially I was leaning towards painting around it - but I'm not certain if I should pull up and put new seal and such...
